Of course I had fun with my Halloween fabric, but any fabric/thread combination will work. You can try Christmas Fabric too!
Once you master the first step consisting of two circles and 2 petal shaped applique's, then you will be able to create the whole placemat! You need to repeat the first part 4 times, and at the end of each part, you will stitch the parts together in the hoop. Now don't worry, it's easier than it sounds! The pieces fit together like a puzzle piece! SLOW YOUR MACHINE DOWN and carefully stitch the two pieces together with a zig zag stitch! once that is done, you can finish the part with satin stitches and make it look awesome. When you do the last part, which is the last segment in the circle, then you repeat the joining stitches twice - first on the bottom then on the top. finish with the pretty stitches and you are almost done!
The last piece is the centerpiece! then all you have to do is stitch the circle and the center piece together. I expected this step to be difficult or fussy, but everything fit together really well.
If you want this placemat to be reversible, then you can add fabric to the back instead of the cutaway stabilizer that I use - make sure you match the bobbin to the thread so the back will look pretty too.
Have fun with this one - it is a fantastic project to do. The cut outs and detail make it look complicated, but once you get started you will realize that it isn't! It looks amazing. I am going to make one for Christmas, too!!

I did the same exact thing .. oh no.. on my First Hooping.. :) On the small part.. lol :)
It happens. Too bad embroidery wasn’t as magic as editing, ha ha ha!
I would have like to seen a closer look of the adding on of the other pieces!
ok, thanks.
❤️
😍
What brand are those scissors? It looks like they work really well.
Thanks for another great Tut! Did you use Heavy cutaway for the back?
No, not too heavy - more of a medium cutaway, I think it is a 2.5.
would like the cetlic large placemat please
thanks! I will add it to the list!
Baie Dankie
😀
Awesome, ! could you do a tutorial with the Kreative kiwi wreath ?
Thanks, very great video. Do you share the jef file too?
We don't need to attach the hook? please answer my question
Sue are you able to stitch out 'K.K Pretty Petals Placement/coaster' please? I have looked at the instructions but still become confused. The Simply Circles design was so much easier because I had watched your video. Many thanks.
I can add it to my Kreative Kiwi stitch list!!
So how do you wash the in the hoop placemats?
same as you would wash any fabric. I don't put mine in the dryer though.
I am trying to create this pattern. I got to the part that joins your second section. My machine is not going back to color 11 to join. Im new, am I missing something or is it my Brother PE770?
Is there a way to not waste as much wss?
not really...I think you could use tear away, but the edges would not be as nice!
I have used cutaway and carefully burn the edges. Works pretty well.
May I ask what scissors you were using for trimming? Thank you!
they are inexpensive scissors from Gunold. I love them!
@@OMLembroidery Thank you!
I am wondering what scissors you are using. Are they curved at all?
yes, they are applique scissors from Gunold - they have a slight curve at the bottom!
@@OMLembroidery Thank you so much.
Tried to like and it unliked instead. Love all your videos!
Thank you for watching and participating!
dove si trova il file?e'gratuito?
Sue, you are so funny, I appreciate you showing us the boo boos you make, it makes me less critical of myself.
