I have supported spurs since 1991, so there is no bias here. So have watched the Premier League from the start. This is easily the team that should be chosen. (GK) Schmeichel (CB) Stam (CB) Vidic (LB) Irwin (RB) Walker (CM) Keane (CM) Scholes (CM) De bruyne (LWF) Rooney (RWF) Ronaldo (ST) Aguero. Mancheter United won all their trophies in an era of football, that was at it's peak, with world class players in all teams at home and in Europe. Winning the League or Champions League was very difficult back then, with Arsenal, the money of Chelsea and Jose, Liverpool and the emergence of City. Alex Ferguson saw off all of them challenges. Roy Keane is the most successful captain in Premier League History, Scholes won 2 Champions Leagues, Silve, Toure, Kompany etc won zero Champions Leagues. Man Utd won 7 League titles in 9 years. They also won a treble, two doubles of FA Cup and League while also winning another double, Champions League and Premier League in 2008. I was tempted to go 4-4-2 so I could get Giggs in, yet I think De bruyne deserves to be in there. I also believe, Cantona, Cole and Van Nistelrooy had big shouts to be in the striker position. I choose Aguero because he did it over a longer period, I was going to go Giggs LWF and have Rooney as the striker but he never played as a striker that often. I left Rio out because Stam won the treble and United didn't win the title for a few years, when Rio signed. They only started winning titles again,, once Vidic was signed, so Vidic not Rio made the defence better.
Making a team without a defensive midfielder is amateur at best and just plain ridiculous when you have someone like Roy Keane as an option. The team comes before the individual, always.
