I think it is a great camera, but the main argument against the X100VI is the existence of the X-T5 which gives exactly the same output but is more versatile with it's interchangeable lens system and not much larger with the xf 27mm f/2.8 lens (of which I don't love the external zoom). I would opt for the X-T5, which can be had in the second market for about the same price. If Fuji or any of the third party manufacturers makes a faster and sharp auto-focussing pancake lens, I think that will be a real hit for the X-T bodies and real challenger for the X100-series.
retails for about the same if you want a new one as well. On top of the fact that the x100vi is back ordered till june/july if you place an order now, and resells for 1.5x the price, the xt5 is a no brainer
Hi Edwin, the X-T5 is cheaper here in UK but that is not the only reason why it makes more sense. The 'problem' is we don not usually buy cameras because they make sense - it's more of an emotional decision, especially with Fujifilm and their design choices.
I’m still very happy with my X-T4, but as many people I want a new toy, I’m considering getting this camera but I checked the price and for about $100 USD more I can get the X-T5 (which is a little smaller than the X-T4) with better battery life, 3 way tilt screen and two card slots. I have all the XF f/2 primes (including the 23mm). Yes, this is definitely what is called first world problems.
From where I stand, the eagle has not landed but is riding a thermal, high in the sky somewhere over China, and probably won't land for many months (or longer).
Camera of the year for RUclipsrs and influencers for the views.
That's the cynical point of view :) I prefer to see it as the only camera with this combination of features and design.

It all depends on- if you like the x100 viewfinder and/or need leaf-shutter - there’s no fuji alternative

It's a good problem to have a choice but a terrible one if you can't make a decision :)
Always appreciate your opinion, Petr.
Thank you Joel! Much appreciate your interest in my thoughts.

Maybe.. or they ship it by sea :)
My 10 years old SONY RX100 is more than sufficient for me right now. Fixed Lens? No thanks.
RX100 series is on my radar. Love the form factor.
Wrong flag. It's made in China ;)
It’s still a Japanese company, that built a factory in China, it’s not an external company making it.
Haha, good one :)
Some RUclipsrs have shown that the 6 genations of X100 wasn't as sharp as Ricoh gr3 by comparison.
