Patricia Heaton is so beautiful, it's so fulfilling the great work she's doing. God bless her. All the best to you Dr. Oz for your amazing work highlighting this.
I love her! Alcohol doesn’t serve me anymore. After losing both parents back to back and moving to a new state. I found myself drinking wine almost nightly. Heart palpitations at bedtime, morning migraines, next day Hangxiety because I probably said something stupid. I’m over it! It’s time to be healthy mentally and physically!
I don’t know what it is but I just love this woman. I love her in every show she’s done, she is just an awesome person, & to hear her speak outside of her characters, it’s simply inspiring! Go Patricia! 🥰
I’m a drunk I’m not proud of it it’s important to admit it at least to yourself. I appreciate her. She’s done more to help people in one day than I have in my whole life. Bless her
You’re a person with a drinking problem or disease whatever you want to call it. Sobriety isn’t easy but the good things never are. One day at a time. 👍
Even though I think it was time fir ut to go, I sure miss the middle!! I wish the middle was streamed on something! Does anyone know if it is or where??
Love dr Oz and patricia Heaton is so beautiful and talented. Never knew she had a drinking problem but glad she was able to stop. Hope she continues her great career in acting. She’s such a gifted woman.
I stopped on my own 7 years ago. I had a stressful job and i noticed i started drinking earlier in the week when I got home. I used to wait for the weekend but I could not wait anymore. I got sick of waking up with a hangover and feeling like crap for days in a row. The hardest thing was going to social events and seeing everyone drinking and acting corny. I felt like I was missing all the fun. People are always asking me why don't you just have one drink and I would say why? I don't drink anymore. I do not miss it at all.
Congrats man, I’m proud of you. What you said is true. If people don’t see you drinking in public with them, they question it like you are the weird one. No ever thinks that the person that’s not drinking has had a bad experience with alcohol in the past…
i will be clean for 4 years this February, i didn't drink, but was a huge pot smoker, and cigarettes, till i finally got pneumonia and quit both cold turkey, the only word i can describe is freedom from the chains, i've got my health back and will never go back, i've found the Lord and now love life and enjoy it sober, wtg Patricia, i still call you Debra lol.
True story. I have a cousin, & 2 friends who NEVER drank until age 60. Started with glasses of wine in the evening to “relax”. Didn’t take long, and it became a bottle each night❗️ Ladies, STOP the INSANITY.
The hangover the next morning is what stops me as well, and lossing sometimes 2 days to feeling like crap. It just isn't worth it!..... Just wish my husband felt the same way! 😔
Congratulations and I totally love you I have four years clean I know what it's like going through that thought process of wishing you wanted to stop cuz I didn't want to stop but I knew I had to I wish I wanted to so my story goes a little bar deep down to Rock bottom then yours but yeah I wish I had a lighter rock bottom just didn't happen that way I love you congratulations
My older brother was a drug addicted alcoholic from quite a young age ,he died 12 years ago from lung cancer ,everything he touched he ruined ,two marriages and three children ,the last straw for me was when our father died suddenly while living with me,I had to and pick him and my younger up to spend the nought at my house and attend the funeral ,here he was as he had been all of his life so drunk he couldn’t stand sobbing uncontrollably and embarrassing us at the funeral,I took he and my other brother home and made the decision to never see or speak to him again ,it was one of the hardest decisions I had ever made but I had yo do it ,several years went by and he found me at my current job as a high school teacher ,he had become clean and sober over night,we became close again ,I was never more proof of him ,I was really surprised to hear of Patricia Heaton’s struggle with drinking ,good for her ,it reminded me if Elizabeth Vargas and her struggle fur sobriety, but hers seemed to be much worse ,kid us to all recovering alcoholics, the road isn’t an easy one .
I can find it easy to be a happy or sad drunk. It takes the world worrying fears any thing you don’t want to deal with . I never really drank but now it’s kind of fun sometimes. I do have to be careful to not become one luckily i still love other things it used to be my dog get a super dog or a car or a bunny or a bird. Or dance yay!
There's so many people poor and hungry in our own United States. I think we need to fix our own problems first. Look outside on the streets of California alone.
Dr. Oz doesn't know the difference between Apple juice, & Apple cider vinegar?!? Wow. I've known about vinegar benefits for decades, thanks to my grandma.
3 years??!! That's nothing, she still is VERY much at risk!! However, listening to his story I doubt she was an "alcoholic", she just loved wine and over did it a few times.
Always impressed with drug addicts and alcoholics who party and have fun and give themselves an addiction...then... they decide their big accomplishment is... stopping... I used to hit my head against a wall... congratulate me... I stopped.
You are so funny! perhaps your big accomplishment could be educatung yourself on what addiction is, working on developing empathy and getting rid of the supercilious attitude.
First of all you need to educate yourself on addiction. It’s not as simple as you “give yourself” one. Secondly, did you even listen to her story? She wasn’t out partying to have fun. She was a retired actor and empty nester who found her daily cocktail escalating. It IS an accomplishment to overcome something that is negatively affecting your life. Have you ever done that or were you born perfect? She’s speaking out to help others better themselves. What are you doing to spread positivity and light in the world?
That was her bottom? I’m sorry maybe it’s because I know she’s a staunch trump supporter republican I find this interview pompous and inauthentic. Guaranteed she’s had much worse situations then a slurred word. That was the cover up story. 17 months sober here!

Any advice from you is ill advised. 😂😂😂😂
What a beautiful woman. Thanks Dr Oz. Patricia is an inspiration and we need more stories like these.
Yeah I also saw her on three other talk shows in the past year. 1. The Drew Barrymore Show 2. Live with Kelly and Ryan and 3. GMA 3.
Such a lovely woman inside and out. In my opinion “Everybody Loves Raymond” was one of the funniest sit coms ever produced.
Patricia Heaton is so beautiful, it's so fulfilling the great work she's doing. God bless her. All the best to you Dr. Oz for your amazing work highlighting this.
Love Patricia! What a beautiful way to give back to the World and help so many in need. God bless you! ❤️

I wish Carol's Second Act had stayed on.
I loved all the cast on the middle. Funny show
She was the glue that held everything together in the "Middle".
Even though I think it was time fir ut to go, I sure miss the middle!! I wish the middle was streamed on something! Does anyone know if it is or where??

I have 32 years sober. Keep hanging in there. The road gets narrower.
So proud of your positive message and all the good you are doing. I’m sure your son is as well. Always loved you on Raymond. We miss you!

I’m a Muslim I don’t drink never have never will. Not sure how millions r obsessed with this poison. It’s mind boggling
Be thankful. It's an insidious disease.
Dr. Oz doesn't know the difference between Apple juice, & Apple cider vinegar?!? Wow. I've known about vinegar benefits for decades, thanks to my grandma.
Ugh, they all get cosmetic procedures and surgery.
Thanks for saying what I was thinking.
What was in that drink???
3 years??!! That's nothing, she still is VERY much at risk!! However, listening to his story I doubt she was an "alcoholic", she just loved wine and over did it a few times.

What does her being a Ttump supporter got to do with her sobriety?
Good gravy ..You dems are extremely narrow minded
How do you even know she’s a Trump supporter, and what does that matter? No Biden supporters drink too much?
Oz's show is STILL on? How's he gonna run for Governor of Pennsylvania or whatever? 🙄
lets go brandon
What a stupid comment 🙄
I'm sorry i gotta post again...Did she say Burboun old fashion"...😍😍😍 Ms Lets run away into Paradise U & I 🌹🌌🌉☄️
