    Nice lap thanks for sharing and good luck with future runs.
    It pains me that gm made one of the finest n/a engines money can buy and then stick a super long 4th and 5th ratio in!
    Just like with the c7, I’d love to switch my 4,5th for shorter ratios.

    I thought the Z06 would be a tad quicker in a straightline but I guess with those tires and tarmac, it was like moving with sticky bubblegum on your feet.

    Hi Gary, nice laps! Please let me know if you would interested in testing the C8 with the Speedway Composites Chassis Strut X Brace, it should cut ~1% off your lap times and make the car even easier to drive hard due to the 8+% stiffer Chassis.
    Best, Dave

    I could get my c7z up to 135 and didn’t stay in it as long as you through turn 1!and I was much slower than you time wise. is it the bad gearing on this thing ?

    Is this time similar to ACR?

    • @BrHH772
      @BrHH772 8 месяцев назад

      ACR is 4 seconds faster which is basically eternity on LS.
      With pro driver behind the wheel though.

      @@BrHH772 oh ok. That’s crazy. How fast C8/Z06 can do on LS with a pro driver?

      @BrHH772 8 месяцев назад

      @@lynzhu6934 Idk, I'm not a sorcerer who can see the future :D
      Though with pro driver and good conditions c8 z06 def could do 1.30.x, if not sub 1.30
      But it's highly unlikely Randy Pobst would give it a try, so the question will remain.
      P.S.Cup2R most likely is a faster tire than 5-year old Kumho's.

    I love how Chevy can copy a ferrari V8 but still leaves a potato in for the datalogging camera. Great lap, do you think it will sub 55 on east in this form?

      There is a difference between copying and benchmarking, look it up. Ferrari benchmarked the 2005 era Ford GT along with cars from competitors such as Alfa Romeo and Lamborghini back in the 70s and 60s.
      On the subject of “copying”, I guess, as you define it, Ferrari copied their FPC V8s from the Alfa Romeo Stradale 33, who in turn copied it from Coventry Climax out of the UK, as they were the first manufacturer to introduce high revving flat plane crank V8 configuration in the post World War II era.
      And let’s not forget that it was Cadillac who introduced the first flat plane crank V8 into mass production in 1918. Also, Ferrari copied the mid engine, transverse mounted engine configurations from Lamborghini and Alfa Romeo, with a shout out to Ford as well for the Ford GT, all of which were released years before Ferrari released any mid engine sports cars with high revving V-8’s.
