After watching this video I can understand the labor quote my shop gave me and I will have no problem paying it. Thank you and great job!
wow! I never thought it would take so much detail to replace the handle bars! Thank you very much for sharing!
This is a very good video for the guys looking to change bars on a touring model...Great job LA Choppers!!!!
Yes, I can definitely see now why this job cost so much in labor. Good video.
@klemay - They replaced the clutch cable due to the new length in the bars. The mechanic was lubing the cable for movement.
great video im doing the same to my bike and im all set with this video
What year is this bike? Thank you!!
Hold on now... That part where you folded the inner fairing forward... Did you have to remove anything other than the bolts on the fork legs? Is it really just as easy as remove those bolts and just fold it forward???????
@klemay1
They took the primary off so that you can take up the slack in the clutch for adjustment.
I don't understand how he is able to splice the wires on the fly by wire throttle sensor. I had to purchase the extended sensor for $113 because cutting and splicing the wiring caused the bike to constantly throw an alarm code. How are you able to do it without tripping codes?
Ive got way way longer than 14 min in mine so far. Maybe its because I'm changing all my covers and adding so many other parts. Im down to clutch cable at least. so halfway or 12hrs from being done.
DO I NEED TO REPLACE BRAKE LINES WITH 10 INCH BARS
Ive seen several forums and dozens of people say No on the 10". Wires and cables reach
No idea how you are tilting the fairing like that. Something else has got to be removed or lossened from what I know?
Sensacional bro
whats the actual time that it took?
Gotta say... The music is a nice touch. But, maybe just a little chatter on the little tricks to make each step just a tad easier on a guy. Great Video all around... Just missing the information.
anyone know if that side cover will need a new gasket?
I am in the process of doing 16" on my ultra man this shit is HARD
Sounds like 3 hrs is a fair quote...
how long to do this job ?
Took me 6 hrs to get it apart and wire it, if u don't know what your doing don't try it!!!!!
I wonder what size those are, 12"?
They look like12's. I have the same ones on my Street Glide.
You really don't want to go any higher than 12's on the Street Glide as the will stick to far above the fairing.

yes sir ya think ,
👍🏻🤙🏻
Thus why I own a '09 Fat Bob (with your High Club bars) and a '14 Road King, easier to work on.
So now you have to look under your arms to use the mirrors.
why in the hell did you skip the ignition removal?
It's at 0:42 what video were you watching?
sorry dude.
I skipped right past it.
I figured thats what happened. That being said, not a lot of time was spent there. There's a good vid here on YT thats shows the steps in depth on a '09 Street Glide, but I believe they (bat wing bikes) are all the same for the most part.
thanks man, yours was perfect.
my impatience forced my jumping ahead..
aint it amazing what can be accomplished here on the tube..
I've been a mechanic for 30 years, and love to come here and learn.
thanks again man.

Spurs are nice but to much work. Labor hours parts and cost don't add up.
13 minutes, 53 seconds.
