The fact it has a CD player is hilarious... Cruising down the highway, cruise control on, flipping through my CD case for some Bob Seger.
You just dated yourself lol
You can burn your own and have tons of MP3 tracks.. BTW That was what it was still in 13. you can upgrade these bikes by adding this stereo and it is not very expensive.Plug and play. www.aquaticav.com/where-to-buy/online-store/harley-davidson-products/harley-davidson-stereos/bluetooth-harley-davidson-stereo-aq-mp-5bt-h/

Yo'll be lucky if you get a CD player..... It might come with an eight track player.... and possibly an ashtray.
My dad calls them "me too" bikes. What do you ride? A street glide? Me too!
Hilarious lol
I bet your dad rides a sportster

For fox's sake!!!
Oh no profanity! Poopy
I've been watching your videos for a while now, and your commentary never gets old. Stay cool, keep it up and ride safe. Remember it's not what you're riding but where you're going ✌😎
The street glide actually comes from a style of bike popular in California when people would strip an E Glide and remove a lot of extra parts and chrome, Harley noticed these were getting popular and then the street glide was developed and released.
In Michigan too. I did that to my old e-glide and i loved it. I have a StreetGlide now.
Awesome video Sean! One very nice Harley. Thanks for sharing.
Ditched my fatboy bobber for a street Glide 2 months ago. Wow. Game changer. My rides went from 2 hrs to all day in comfort. Btw...$14k seems excessive for this 2013 and I dont see $4k in mods. I paid $10k for my 2013 and its comparable to this one.
Hi
Different markets pull different prices. Case my fatboy is worth more in Las Vegas then it is Utah and probably even more in SoCal
A $4,000 bike in Oklahoma would cost me twice as much here in Alaska. I see a road trip in the future.
Boom!! 😁👍
@@jerlaine1638 in Tennessee it would be 15,000$ because of the ridiculous sales tax we have here.
I have a 2012 and I love it. I have customized it with a different stereo system, bars, a tour pack, and a few other things and it’s great.
My step dad had an Electra glide that he completely built and modded and him and his friend summited it to Harley Davidson and it was one of the bikes used for inspiration for the street glide in 2006
Man that sucks to hear
id like to see the bike im modding a 07 electraglide

The loud pipes are my Stereo! 👊😎💨👍
I just bought a 13 street glide. I love it. I’m 5’4 and on my tippy toes. Ordered a reduced reach two up seat to get a little lower and yes I wear a helmet with a curved 6.5 inch windscreen. No issues
I have an 05 Electraglide Standard. It’s the 88 with a 5. It’s not a bad bike. I’ve had it 6 years and no issues. It runs its best at 80-90 mph. Ride safe!!
I owned an 07 model which I bought brand new, and loved it. The only problem was it got real hot under the right thigh in our summer, in Australia. I know you can buy oil coolers and love jugs and so on, but isold it and got a Roady instead. Still have a soft spot for the StreetGlide, but if I was gonna buy another faired bike, I'd choose the Road Glide.
The EG Standard took the place of the FLHS ( of which I have a 1991 ) made periodically from 1977- 1993. They used the FLHS format to make the Road King and upped the $. Then comes the Standard. Nothing wrong with a silver motor. They used that to denote entry level tour bike.
Then they upgraded to the Street Glide. Yep, paint the motor, take off passing lamps, put a smaller front fender, and jack the $!
Now I ride a 2009 Ultra, and took the pak off, unless I’m on the road.
Personally I’m an EVO man. Best motor they ever built. I still ride my FLHS also.
Interesting info thank you
I bought mine cause I like the look plenty of storage and love the full fairing
Appreciate the review and you showing your faith. Great job and god bless.
Me too! I have an 08 but I’ve customized quite bit of it!
Solid rundown. But you got my subscription when you read from the Word. God bless you man
I have a 2018 street glide special. I absolutely love it. It’s definitely a head turner. I used to get that when I had my Dyna. But not to this extent. But if you want to crush miles on and look good doing it. Street glide is where it’s at. It handles really good too. There’s certain things I think the Dyna did better with. But nothing that makes the street glide feel as big as it is. It also has a great lean angle. The Dyna street bob has more lean than almost every Harley. But the stuff I’d drag peg on with it. I haven’t touched the floorboards with the street glide. And I’ve been pushing it hard in the turns expecting it to scrape.
The FLHT Standard was a base model and was marketed as a builder's or customizers bike.
Thanks for this review needed it.. 👌🏾now I feel I know a lil more about this bike.
Hey Sean, great bike man, hey I own a 2013 fat boy lo and it doesn't have throttle by wire, has a dedicated dual throttle cable... Was that only an option on touring bikes?...
Gloves look sick, how much to get it shipped to scotland ?
That’s so cool i don’t live far from where he’s riding. Thanks for the tips. I almost got myself a 2009 Harley street glide for $4000.00 but my son was born and money went somewhere else. However it is an amazing bike and im still looking for one.
Hi from the UK. Great video, but can you tell me why the sky is blue there? Maybe you had a special lens on your camera? We don't have blue skies here.....
Well Sean this is how it started at least in my area. Younger People was buying the standard then take all the Crome and badging off then putting a short windshield on it and putting they’re own radios on them all for around 13 to 15,000. The motor company took that and ran with it... give the radio back. No crome and color options. Because the standard only came in black. Then marked it up to 25 to 30,000. Smart of the company but people should have demanded the cheaper standard with a color options because nobody keeps it stock. But it is all about the might dollar! Thanks for the vid bro...
I watched this and I watched the one you did with the Indian Chieftain and I’ve got to say I liked the view a whole lot better on the Indian with the adjustable windshield. I am also 6’2’ same as you. (Just saying), I’m definitely going to test drive both before I buy one.
With the taller windshield, the Ape hangers actually look pretty good. I had an 08' with V&H Big Radious pipes. Of the 3 HD's. I have owned, it was my favorite ride!
Big Radious baby! Have them on my Breakout.
Love my street glide. 2012 CVO. Super comfortable. Rode from Wichita to Miluakee 765 miles in a day.
Man I need a set of those gloves...
Lovely Bike
👍🤝😎
Great episode Shan...
In regards to the comparison between the Street Glide Special vs the Ultra Limited, I am in complete agreement with the styling points mentioned in the video, but I would like to throw in a little kudos for the handling of the Street Glide as well. I’ve owned several models of bikes by HD, and that includes 72’ shovel head, 72’ Sportster, 82’ Wideglide, 2016’ Breakout, 2019’ Deluxe, and now a 2020’ Street Glide. Each one having it’s own strong and weak points when doing serious travel.
The Street Glide, thanks to it’s lower stance, is very agile, given that it has a lower center of gravity, cornering at a little faster speed is effortless and I feel comfortable and in control, which is of great importance since I drive in Colorado’s mountains alot in the summer. It is also great in high volume traffic areas in the city where stop and go is the norm. Nowhere near the heating issues I had in my shovelhead and breakout. Overall comfort on the Street Glide is exceptional and it is a well balanced bike, and you can add on all kinds of goodies to achieve the final look you want. I never really considered a bagger when owning my other bikes, but after buying one I realize that we’re always learning something new in the Harley experience, and I’m stoked about my Street Glide. Go get one, you won’t be sorry.
Agreed my friend! I love mine! They’re so comfortable and easy to ride! A great feel good bike! My favorite so far as well!
Thanks so much for posting you are for real personally I have had both had a little over a hundred thousand miles on my street glide presently on newish road glide for me personally nothing goes through the wind and rain better than a road ride just my opinion
I'm only 28 and i have a heavily modded big wheel street glide and a full bolt on 16 R1. The R1 is fun to go fast on but if I could only keep one its street glide for me, slow but I really enjoy riding it
Same I’m 29 I got a street glide special and a r6 I just got rid of the r6 cuz all my friends converted over to Harley’s and now we doing chain converions to do Harley wheelies 😂
Bars are Mayhem Bagger bars , I own the regular Mayhem bars chrome n love them
Like the sound!!!. Not to loud not to quite.
You know there’s no one in the background when you ask the price of a bike YOU own lol
My father in law picked up a 2010 Super Glide for $1500. It had been setting for a couple years but only has 5700 miles on it. He had to change the fuel pump, injectors, new battery, new gas, plugs, fired right up runs like HD!!
From where?
I have a 2014 and love it. Two main things to do them. First, cam, heads, air and map. Makes that 103 come alive. Mine specked out at 116lb torque and 103 hp. 100 torque at about 2000 rpm. Next and just as important, replace the rear shocks with something that can make the bike handle right. I put on a set of Terry Cable shocks. Same ride height but 1" more travel. I did not stop there. I changed out the front fork dampener but left the spring stock. Amazing the difference. Handling is a 10. Tight in the corners. Glides down the road. Might be a 'me too' bike, but I made it my own.
Oh yea, pipes. Went with the same pipes, V&H. Makes a huge difference with the Power Duels. Gotta have'm. Then the rest of the bike is a canvas to make it your own.

I bought my 14 about 2 years ago I went just over 5 years with no license. I bought it from a private seller about 2 weeks before my reinstatement. So my girlfriend and I would be comfortable riding on long trips or even across town my intruder is not big enough for the both of us first bike I ever had with a fairing. After a few long trips I think the frame mounted fairing of roat glide would be better for wind and the wind turbulence from semi trucks. But I'm in to deep to get out of it it now. But very comfortable and smooth.
Just got a street glide yesterday. Sold my beloved FXR and got an old man bike (if it's a bagger, it's an old man bike). Love the comfort. I can ride more than 20 miles now without a broke back
Please bring back the words of wisdom on every episode 🙏 love your videos and its a fantastic way to start it out.
The 2019 Electra Glide Standard is awesome! Looks good and has all the important stuff. For THOUSANDS less!
Bruce Davidson right? Street glide is only 21k and has a few improvements. The special is a little crazy pricey.
I knew you were in PA from the houses about a minute into the test ride lol. The Lancaster sign confirmed it. Sweet ride.
It was the turkey hill for me.
In consideration of the faith-based content of this channel, Shawn (Sean?) ROCKING his Holy Jeans 😋
Love the channel, keep up the good work 👍
Love that you incorporated scripture, brother. Thank you!
Thank you for the review. I have owned 3 H-D: 1 Ultra Limited & 2 Road Kings. I don't know how you are not getting buffeting, at 6'1", I'm 1" shorter than you. I had terrible buffeting on the Ultra Limited, I couldn't read road signs it was so bad, tried different size windscreens to no avail. Love the bike, but for the reason just stated, sold it. Surely H-D must do wind tunnel tests on their bikes, but mine rode like they didn't do aerodynamic testing/development, a shame, beautiful bike, but awful buffeting/riding. Since then, H-D installed vents in the fairings, maybe that helps.
Hey brother fly buy wire was fitted from 2010 on the street glide "I had one" bad point - rear pegs are fitted to the frame and when having a pillion on board there toes dig into your calves when at stop so some pillion training required to move there feet back - but for cruising no problems.
I was very pleasantly surprised to see that you rate the Street Glide as a beginner to intermediate bike!
A very enjoyable and informative video.
Good job.
Was going to go with the street glide. But ended up with the chieftain dark horse because of reasons. Such as larger displacement. Adjustable wind screen. The size difference of the bike (chieftain is longer and you don’t feel compacted when riding) speed etc
let us know how that works out for you when they fold again
I test drove both. The RG is a much better bike. On a street glide, I felt the fairing is too close to myself making feel how narrow is the space between my chest and the fairing. On the RG, I feel more comfortable and feel much better than being on a SG.
I do love me a street glide!
Rather buy a limited. Removable tour pack kit and best of all options
And generally better suspension... 17 and newer SG's and RG's have crap shocks from factory.
What are those handlebars called? How much rise do they have?
Shame I missed this bike, exactly what I'm looking for.
Now idk how I feel about a sg being good for beginner to intermediate riders, it’s quite a bit of bike for a new to novice rider. I started on a 500r ninja, jumped to a 883 sporty, then my friend let me ride her 06 sg…… it was slightly intimidating but manageable coming off the sportster….. been riding my Vtx 1300 for a few years now might have to take that glide back out on the next warm day.
I’ve hit birds 🐦 on the fairing a couple of times and those spikes will ensure maximum blood splatter.
Datz animal cruelty
Birds? Plural? Lol geez
Are those yaffi bars and what size are they 12 inch?
Love your channel!
Mine is a 2015 still in love with it
Loved the scripture before the ride! God bless you brother, see you on the road 🙏! 👊😎
What's your opinion on the softail standard??
what brand safety pants are those you sportin homy?
driverless steering?? what years is this with? looking at the street glides.
Are those 14" ape hangers? They look like the 12' apes I ordered last week for my 2012 SG.
I normally don't comment, but here goes. I have a 2011 streetglide, and mine did come with a tour pack. I installed the bars myself on mine. If you run the wires through the bars, it's difficult, but it's possible to do yourself. Still cost me about $1200 when all is said and done, and you still need to take it to the dealer to have your breaks bleed, if it has abs, as the dealer has the program and they haven't released the info to the aftermarket world yet. But it is possible to disconnect the abs system all together. Also a downfall for the newer bikes with abs is you have to have the dealer change your breakfluid every 2 years or your abs will break.
I currently own both a Street Glide and Road King. IMHO these are the 2 best bikes that HD makes. I owned a Road Glide for 1 year, and just couldn't feel it, sold it shortly after. Great video, ride safe!
What size bars 10” ?and what brand bars? Digging your boots!! God bless ya brother. Love your channel
Imo those are more than 10" but i'm saying at least 14s
Where you riding at? Looks just like where I grew up in Lancaster, PA.
i was at the love ride in 2004 in glendale. i was riding a limited edition fatboy at that time.
next to me in our group was Bill Davidson, Robert Patrick and a few other notable HD dignitaries.
Bill and I wandered off to check out some of the other bikes dotted all over the streets near glendale harley.
at one point we came upon a whole group of Harley riders from a Cholo Club that had done some outrageous mods to their bikes.
massive apes, super-long fish-tailed pipes, extended bags etc. SUPER CHROMEY!
BUT!!!
some members of the groups had adopted the SoCal lowrider style to their Ultra Classics.
they had "smoothed" out the bike, by taking 99% of the chrome either off or had powered-coated it to match the skins color of the fenders, bags, tanks etc.
some were lowered, but most looked like they had been "murdered" out before the term was used.
Bill was blown away.
He took a few pics, and as we walked back to the Rally Burgers and waited for the ride to kick-off, he said, they could do a factory version like those he had just witnessed.
i remarked, if you build one like that, i'll buy one.
so, around a year or so later, right after my fatboy had been stolen... i picked up the first street-glide in San Diego.
added a detachable chopped tour-pak, screamin' eagle exhaust, and a few other mods and away i went.
my first faired bike that Bill had said they would make.
we must all thank the low-rider clubs of Southern California for the imspiration.
the bike is still mine, it now has 85,000 miles on it. it's been ridden up the coast to SF many times, across the loneliest road, route 50 thru nevada, up to yellowstone, out to denver and back and it's still my daily commute bike as i pull the tour-pak off and cross into TJ daily for work. the TJ/SD border is easiest to cross on a bike.
here's the inspiration for the bike.

i like 2019 street glide cvo. yeah its more stripped down version of ultra classic. cvo's hold value.
My Honda has driverless steering. It always pulls to the left if you let go. I think it’s because of the shaft drive?
For some reason I’m very partial to these and road Kings I think it’s the comfort factor
2008 SG Duracell Battery color and those in fairing mirrors just don't work...plugged them fast now have old man mirrors..
Do people prefer the drive by wire or cables?
I hate to ride looking through a windsheild, specialy through a tinted one. But it goes with the kind of bike . It looks good.
I want one blacked out. I'm a big guy but never rode a motorcycle before. Is it a good first bike?
i think i like more the RG ... the only problem is to heavy ..
i have a FXR Bobber 90 .. but i like the road king too .. but the problem in the cam's tensors is other head pain with the TC..
I wouldn't say start on a street glide but definitely end up on one
justin pigg or skip graduation and get a road glide
I currently own a 2006 sportster and 2015 fz-09. I will likely sell both and buy a road glide. I think these bikes are popular because riders come to the realization sport bikes are nothing but trouble on public roads and as you get older your body can’t handle less comfortable platforms. My hips get strained after a half hour on the Fz.
I can’t get used to the turn signal situation. I like having the basic 1 switch for both signals. For some reason having separate controls really really messes with me
Dude you have taught me a lot about bikes and I'm trying my best to get one, I use to have good credit but I spent a lot of money trying to help a addict get clean,
Because at one time someone helped me.. Long story short I'm one year into ch.13, I have made all my payments on time and I have a good career and a decent amount down with reasonable payment..
I told you this all this to 1st to pray for the addict God is working on and to point me in the right direction to get a bike so I can tour God's Country..😎💪👆
Hey if Imma be honest if you want the most bang for your buck stay away from cruisers. Though if you like the cruiser style I recommend Indian over H-D, or maybe some of the Japanese manufacturers have a model for you
And Don't overextended your budget again for anyone not even a wife.

I will not tarry long though.
Get a Fatboy or a Heritage and leave the Street Glide
We call them "Me Too's".. cause everybody say's "i gotta Street Glide.."" the response generally is "me too.." ....
Hahaha... shit, that's what I call my road king.
Have had others. Don't have a sg, but would like one. My heritage beat the shit out of my back on Michigan roads. There it's a reason sg's are so popular, and it's mostly about comfort without sacrificing looks. I'm a nonconformist, and I've nonconformed to the thought sg's are cookie cutter.
I love pizza and I'm not dissuaded by the fact everyone else loves pizza.
My next bike will be a sg- comfort and sleek looks. I'm down with it.
You want a 1-hour-ride bike? Have at it. My back and ass don't.

@@Saltysteele The street glide has a lowered rear shock with less travel, not a particularly comfortable suspension for rough roads. The BMW GS and other high riding touring bikes aren't as stylish but ride a lot smoother over bad roads.

How to lower a 2019 road glide
I traded in my 2005 RK towards a 2011 Road Glide, not too happy with the wind bobbing my head around at 60mph!
It does have the flared windshield and I had plans on changing it, but that in my opinion would make it worse?
I had 3 Street Glides over the years and wish I still had them now!
Sure, the Road Glide handles like a dream on the highway because of the fixed fairing, but your head isn't quite as rigid and it makes for a miserable ride!
KEEP YOUR STREET GLIDES!
Do you finance with a trade in 89 softail fx....she still runs
Small tip for you guys. get an Ultra and take the tour-pak off, buy the low profile seat and you got the best of both worlds. And it's convertible when you go touring! I did it with my 2018 115th edition Ultra and it looks the dogs :-D
Is does track very well even no hands. I have a 2019 Street Glide Special and it is amazing bike.
How is the faring vibration? I bought a new 2006 and the faring absolutely vibrated so
bad I thought it was gonna break off. had it checked and never was satisfied , sitting at
a red light you could not see behind you in the mirrors.. I sold it and bought a roadking.
Wow, this seems to be a good point.
I'm late to the party, just watching this now... but I noticed a sticker on the fairing.. it says "Klock Werks" on it, which is a motorcycle shop in SD... that means this bike was up here at one point!! XD
