This isn't the first time in California that wild fire burns down the whole neighborhood. In 2018, Paradise, CA was almost totally destroyed by wild fire caused by downed high voltage power line. Just watched video on the LAFD channel, a wild fire burned down a whole Bel Air neighborhood in Nov. 1961, that's 63 years ago.

Born, raised, and live in S. Cali, specifically LA County. The closest fire to me is the Lidia fire, which is almost 100% contained. My heart is broken for all the loss 💔 😢. Places on the beach that I would hang out at with my sister who passed in 2011, gone. Eaton Canyon, so many fond memories of beautiful and fun hikes there. Areas in Pasadena where we had fun as youths and visited as adults, gone. The sheer destruction of properties is overwhelming. People kneeling in front of their home that is now piles of rubble. The loss of life. Unbearable. I find it hard to breath as I try to choke back the tears. Everyone helping each other, what a beautiful thing. Race, beliefs, and political views don't matter in these times. Maybe that's the lesson. Stop the division and the hate. What matters is love of God, family, friends, and country 🇺🇸.

The ocean has salt, and that can cause a lot of problems for the land to grow anything and eat away at structures. What shocks me is that CA doesn't do control burns and doesn't have emergency water tanks. England has man made fresh water reserves that can hold over 200 billion gallons of fresh water.

The Santa Ana winds have existed long before the state of California, and the region’s natural vegetation is historically adapted to fire. Failing to prepare for such predictable weather events is nothing short of irresponsible. Californians have already destroyed the once great states of Oregon, Washington, and Colorado, and now they seem intent on doing the same to Texas and Florida. They only made a couple arrests but the first time around when it caught fire, It was from the wind knocking down power lines in those higher elevations. At 80 mph on the surface you can imagine in those higher elevations It was probably 100 mph. Also making it hard for aircraft to get up there and put out those fires quickly. Just like a category one hurricane just blowing continuously and even in a storm like that you’ll find no aircraft near those winds. This was how the fire had spread quickly and only limited without air support at first.
Wow, we are having a dry season this year so not a lot of rain and this year we had something called the Santa Monica winds, basically these winds are much more stronger than regular wins that we have to the point where a whole tree can break apart and of course, all of these are what made the fire but what’s really started the fire? Well, there are multiple reasons, either something happened with a powerline or it was someone who was homeless who lite a fire in order to get warm, and the other reason could most likely be a arsonist this is most likely true because the police have already caught other arsonist to try to light more fires.

This is the Santa Ana winds that have made this fire especially explosive. 60-80 mph winds have been measured in recent days. That is the prime reason for these fast moving fires. That and the fact the vegetation is so dry from drought over the last 8 months.
when it was 80 mph winds on the surface street it’s obviously gonna be 100 in those higher elevations so yes, it is weather related. The also is how powerlines got knocked over sparking the fire in the first place.
The LA DEI fires need to be investigated and there needs to be a tribunal to hold those responsible, accountable. With so many dead and perhaps 100 billion in damages this needs to take place. These fires never should have happened. You cannot blame the Santa Ana winds because we knew they were coming because they always come even if they are lesser or more any particular year. When you have totally empty reservoirs with no effort to fill them. It doesn't matter if the winds are high, low, or record breaking. This is incompetence or sabotage. An investigation needs to find out which it is. In either case those in charge need to go.

Not about that, it is about DRAINING THE WATER SUPPLY TO FIRE HYDRANTS. Allowing the lake to sit empty for 10 months. Truth is this fire started at 10;30AM. They STALLED even reporting the lack of water for 24 hours. They forced the issue to nightfall so they could claim they could not use aircraft at night. Most of the damage was done Wednesday from 12o1 am to 12pm The excuses mounted.
That's jumping to conclusions. This was an act of nature unlike anything that region has seen before. The time for holding people accountable will come once the fires are out and a few reevaluation can be conducted.

Normally the Los Angeles area is in its rainy season right now, but it has been very unusual that a prolonged drought has persisted since last May. When the Santa Ana winds arrived in the past there was usually no problem because it had rained enough that the vegetation was moist and fires would not get started. But this time the prolonged drought made the vegetation so dry as to burn easily if exposed to a flame. So the 2 of the 3 elements for a fire were present and only the ignition source is uncertain. On Tuesday the Palisades fire erupted quickly with the high winds and it tore through Palisades very quickly. That's an act of nature imo. The cause was secondary with the very dry conditions making the vegetation so easy to burn.

Our hearts are with the 16 lives tragically lost, and we stand in solidarity with those grieving. I turned Fox news on, and low and behold, there's a video of Newsome lying to some poor lady who lost everything. This isn't the first time in California that wild fire burns down the whole neighborhood. In 2018, Paradise, CA was almost totally destroyed by wild fire caused by downed high voltage power line. Just watched video on the LAFD channel, a wild fire burned down a whole Bel Air neighborhood in Nov. 1961, that's 63 years ago.

Born, raised, and live in S. Cali, specifically LA County. The closest fire to me is the Lidia fire, which is almost 100% contained. My heart is broken for all the loss 💔 😢. Places on the beach that I would hang out at with my sister who passed in 2011, gone. Eaton Canyon, so many fond memories of beautiful and fun hikes there. Areas in Pasadena where we had fun as youths and visited as adults, gone. The sheer destruction of properties is overwhelming. People kneeling in front of their home that is now piles of rubble. The loss of life. Unbearable. I find it hard to breath as I try to choke back the tears. Everyone helping each other, what a beautiful thing. Race, beliefs, and political views don't matter in these times. Maybe that's the lesson. Stop the division and the hate. What matters is love of God, family, friends, and country 🇺🇸.

The Newsom/Bass fires are a direct consequence of progressive policies, DEI priorities, and the resulting incompetence. The Santa Ana winds have existed long before the state of California, and the region’s natural vegetation is historically adapted to fire. Failing to prepare for such predictable weather events is nothing short of irresponsible. Californians have already destroyed the once great states of Oregon, Washington, and Colorado, and now they seem intent on doing the same to Texas and Florida. It’s becoming increasingly hard to feel sympathy for California’s self-inflicted problems.

They only made a couple arrests but the first time around when it caught fire, It was from the wind knocking down power lines in those higher elevations. At 80 mph on the surface you can imagine in those higher elevations It was probably 100 mph. Also making it hard for aircraft to get up there and put out those fires quickly. Just like a category one hurricane just blowing continuously and even in a storm like that you’ll find no aircraft near those winds. This was how the fire had spread quickly and only limited without air support at first.

Wow, we are having a dry season this year so not a lot of rain and this year we had something called the Santa Monica winds, basically these winds are much more stronger than regular wins that we have to the point where a whole tree can break apart and of course, all of these are what made the fire but what’s really started the fire? Well, there are multiple reasons, either something happened with a powerline or it was someone who was homeless who lite a fire in order to get warm, and the other reason could most likely be a arsonist this is most likely true because the police have already caught other arsonist to try to light more fires.
It is because of dry winds. Same happens in Himalayan foothills in the months of April and May(Fast winds+ Bone Dry winds)

Heat creates a vacume which forces air moving towards the burning area, hence moving the fire. So the wind isn't all weather related
This is the Santa Ana winds that have made this fire especially explosive. 60-80 mph winds have been measured in recent days. That is the prime reason for these fast moving fires. That and the fact the vegetation is so dry from drought over the last 8 months.
when it was 80 mph winds on the surface street it’s obviously gonna be 100 in those higher elevations so yes, it is weather related. The also is how powerlines got knocked over sparking the fire in the first place.

The LA DEI fires need to be investigated and there needs to be a tribunal to hold those responsible, accountable. With so many dead and perhaps 100 billion in damages this needs to take place. These fires never should have happened. You cannot blame the Santa Ana winds because we knew they were coming because they always come even if they are lesser or more any particular year. When you have totally empty reservoirs with no effort to fill them. It doesn't matter if the winds are high, low, or record breaking. This is incompetence or sabotage. An investigation needs to find out which it is. In either case those in charge need to go.

The Governor and Mayor of California should all resign or be fired for poor forestry and fire management. They have known for years that its a high risk fire eare and there's water pressure issues etc and they didn't bother to create fire breaks to protect the properties. its very very poor fire and forestry management.

Truth is this fire started at 10;30AM. They STALLED even reporting the lack of water for 24 hours. They forced the issue to nightfall so they could claim they could not use aircraft at night. Most of the damage was done Wednesday from 12o1 am to 12pm The excuses mounted.

Normally the Los Angeles area is in its rainy season right now, but it has been very unusual that a prolonged drought has persisted since last May. When the Santa Ana winds arrived in the past there was usually no problem because it had rained enough that the vegetation was moist and fires would not get started.
But this time the prolonged drought made the vegetation so dry as to burn easily if exposed to a flame.
So the 2 of the 3 elements for a fire were present and only the ignition source is uncertain. On Tuesday the Palisades fire erupted quickly with the high winds and it tore through Palisades very quickly. That's an act of nature imo. The cause was secondary with the very dry conditions making the vegetation so easy to burn.
