It's actually a breeze. It just wipes clean. I've used it constantly since I got it -- made fruit pies and meat pies -- and nothing has stuck to the pan. This is a wonderful machine. The only drawback: I'm eating too much pie!
I had mines now for three months and I made homemade chicken pot pies, meat pies, desserts and they turned out great. I love my pie maker, did not like making them in my muffin tins.
I have a feeling that the filling not only needs to have been previously cooked, but it should already be hot when you put it in there. I think this machine just toasts the dough. And yeah, the crust was a bit overcooked.
How can I get replacement pieces got the cutter and tanker? It looks like they're not made any more. Could you suggest replacements or, at least the dimensions to cut them? It’s very annoying when you have a pie makers, but nothing to help cut the dough!
Abbey K -- you are right, it's all fake. The appliance is not plugged in, the light doesn't go on when she closes the pie maker. Then they cut -- and she opens the pie maker (light still not on) and out comes perfect pies.
Did anyone notice that the pie maker isn't plugged in. If the pie maker was hot the pastry would have started to sink in almost instantly. Anyway, can't cook if not plugged in.
@@pamjackson6416 Cooked in a conventional oven. Left to cool. Then removed and put into the Breville Pie maker and the lid closed. Roll the cameras and, hey presto! 4 apparent Pie Machine pies!
hi! do you always pre-cook everything? if i added ham and onions, for example, i would pre cook those. but if i added a cheese-and-egg mix: do i just pour that over the mixture and it would harden enough to eat? plus: i make a chicken pie that has a lot of thickened sauce "within it" and i'm worried it'll soak through the dough. does that ever happen?
Read the manual... most say don't put really runny ingredients in. Most people moaning about these types of machine never took the time to read the manual....
Long time to wait for a response, but think of it this way. Quiches don't have a pastry top, so the heat is transferred directly to the eggs, and they don't take too long to cook.
I am looking to buy this Breville Pie Maker but it's impossible to get it in Perth, Australia. If I am not able to buy a brand new one, I will not mind buying a used one provided it is still in good condition. Thanks!
It can be either one, depending on where you live. Breville is an Australian company but they sell worldwide. (In the UK, they use the "Sage" brand name.)
@schoolofdissent It's not impossible. You con't have to have a top crust. You can make all kinds of pie. Shepard's pie, pumpkin pie, ect. There is no need for a top crust
Girl the thing aint *ON!* If it was it would have really burnt your elbows! At 1.10-1.20. Also 2.05-2.22 and again at 2.40-2.44. *Dead serious!* If my boss tells me to call that golden brown I'll *RESIGN!*
would not go as far as golden brown.....darlin you if left there in there 2 more mins ya would have had to use your left over dough to make four more cherry pies :D
At 2.17 she says “try making a shepherds pie”. I like to see her do that. Put the meat and gravy in (no pastry in Shepherds Pie) then mashed potato on top. Maybe there is purpose in doing that but I can’t see it at the moment.
They couldn't re-do the film to get a pie without it exploding out the back? What other mistakes did they not fix with that pie maker... the fact it creates squishy pies?
So many things are funny about this video. I think it’s time for an update. So you buy store bought pie dough and filling and cant bake it in a pan. It’s easier to make 4 weirdly cooked tiny pies. I get it, but also this is just hilarious.
Well... it''s hard to say... it's half way from something useless or take your own pie's mold into the oven! How much that it cost? ..ok, take your own mold.
I wish thay would quit making everything in brushed stainless steel instead of just stainless steel . It must be cheaper for them to use that ugly brushed stainless steel.
The bottom crust cutter is 12 cm in diameter and the top crust cutter is 10.4 cm in diameter.

Wow!!
it was so easy to spoon pie filling into store bought dough sheets, i almost didnt manage it but then i did...
yay me!!!

and she claims you make a shepards pie in a pie maker - clearly can not cook well
yeah and no steam escapes when she opens up the pie ha ha ha
She squashed the heck out of that pie!
As soon as you cut in...the bottom split from other side & filling was falling out...
How thick should the crust be? Any recommendations?
my sister got me this for christmas and I wanted to know how to use it!
Can we put a tin lining in the bottom before we put the crust in?
Did anyone notice that the pie maker isn't plugged in. If the pie maker was hot the pastry would have started to sink in almost instantly.
Anyway, can't cook if not plugged in.
it is plugged in..the cord is running over the edge of the bench ..how did they cook if it wasn't??

That looks SOO good

no, it doesn't "soak" through.

Comme Kara explique dans la vidéo, le fond de la tarte est régulier pâte à tarte, mais elle utilise la pâte feuilletée pour le dessus.
i find the base pastry shrinks when adding to a hot pie maker so the tops don't seal properly
Same! I put it in the cold pie maker and just cook until golden, same same but annoying when doing multiple batches
It says it will make quiche. I wonder how, since she said the filling must be pre-cooked.
good point
Long time to wait for a response, but think of it this way. Quiches don't have a pastry top, so the heat is transferred directly to the eggs, and they don't take too long to cook.
"LOOK AT THAT GOLDEN BROWN CRUST! :D" * crust is dark brown*
Does the top have to be puff pastry ?
Oh, Shepherds Pie. The one that doesn't use pastry!
I am looking to buy this Breville Pie Maker but it's impossible to get it in Perth, Australia. If I am not able to buy a brand new one, I will not mind buying a used one provided it is still in good condition. Thanks!
I'm in the UK, where can I buy one of these
Stop sticking dammed fruit in them lovely pies. Steak mushroom and gravy now that would be fab.
Mine came today. I made apples pies. They turned out good and no.....it isn't hard to clean at all. I'm going to make some meat pies tomorrow.
Wow i want one!! Did you say shepherds pie???
Has this pie maker been discontinued? I'm looking to buy it but can't find it anywhere
I have one for sale full working order
Can anyone tell me the diameter of the dough cutters.
wow I want one of them, you can make any fruit you want with it! 2:16 lol!
what cherry filling is that it looks AWESOME! ???
It looks like the canned pie cherry filling.
Can I Use Strawberry Jam For The Filling ??
Wow this is good way
Just not the same as your classic pie - but could be good for a bite size.
Why can't we use the pie crust for both top and bottom? Why do you have to use puff pastry for the top??
Can you blind bake in a pie maker
Where can I buy one
i want that for my birthday!!!!!!
"Chicken pot pie... those are my three favorite things."
Cost of electric pie maker
What happen when she got no gadget? can't cook anything?
what is the voltange of that pie maker??
110V ot 220V
It can be either one, depending on where you live. Breville is an Australian company but they sell worldwide. (In the UK, they use the "Sage" brand name.)
Golden brown?? thats burnt.... lol
That's exactly what I was thinking lol.
That's not burnt.
You can get the recipes on line.
Can I put chocolate fillings?
that pie maker is not heated which is what is advised in manual
was thinking about getting this as a christmas gift but the more i think about it.... i have no idea who i want to get it for, lol
I have one of these but I lost the cook book for it
you'll be abale to find it online, but its not rocket science.

would not go as far as golden brown.....darlin you if left there in there 2 more mins ya would have had to use your left over dough to make four more cherry pies :D
Ah, I'd like one of those right about now...
...WAIT A SECOND HOLY CRAP THIS THING IS IN THE KITCHEN
Where do I find the cutters?
Ummmm, actually it is cherry, what do you think it is?
I like my party pseudo right on top
obvioulsy not a preheated pie maker...it is definitley not heated up
That was burnt crust. Hard as a boulder! She struggled to cut into it. Dear GAWD! 🤣 Nice pie gadget, tho.
"try making a shepard's pie" she clearly doesn't know what a shepard's pie is.
you need fresh Shepard to make a good shepherds pie
I assume she meant a lamb pot pie. ...maybe.
@@fluffybunny3178 😂👌
that was just her choice, you don't have to use different types of dough like she did.

Massively underfills it and comes out perfectly domed. Yeah I don’t think so.
They're cheaper on Amazon. I got mine for $60
❤❤❤❤yummy
the transcript is hilarious
They couldn't re-do the film to get a pie without it exploding out the back? What other mistakes did they not fix with that pie maker... the fact it creates squishy pies?
That’s how ALL pies are. They just normally are in a metal or glass dish.
Could you not use a knife to cut into the pie? It looks like you smacked it with a hammer!
Laughing...out loud !
So many things are funny about this video. I think it’s time for an update. So you buy store bought pie dough and filling and cant bake it in a pan. It’s easier to make 4 weirdly cooked tiny pies. I get it, but also this is just hilarious.
I want the worst pie in London
Omg I was so thinking that!
she eats her pie like I do! :)
now you have that beautiful golden brown crust. Bitch, they're burnt!
I don't know if a shepherd's pie would work in that. They aren't made of pastry.
Im so glad someone else picked up on this.
I want that :D
beautiful smile
Well... it''s hard to say... it's half way from something useless or take your own pie's mold into the oven! How much that it cost? ..ok, take your own mold.
I should be do doing homework 😂
Shepherds pie! 😂😂😂
use a knife next time
Do you eat your SLICE of pie with a knife and fork?
Golden brown? You're kidding right?
Did she seriously say shepard's pie? that, by definition has a mashed potato top instead of crust, which would be impossible with this machine.
cette video a l'air vraiment bidon : la pâte qu'elle découpe est une pâte brisée , celle qu'elle sort de la machine et est une pâte feuilletée
I think I love you :)
Eat it immediately right out of the oven!
how did i get here? O.o
Seem to be done too quick the pie maker wasn't even on i reckon they was brought from a shop ready made
Yo.. she fucked up that pie.. not cool man..
perfect, clear, idiot proof instructions
you always smile why ?
FYI,SHEPHERDS PIE DOESN'T HAVE FRUIT IN IT.
or made with pastry
Needs less cherry, and moar chocolate!
@schoolofdissent The only way that would be impossible is if you used watery, fake KFC mashed potatoes.
That machine is far too clean to have actually cooked those pies!
Well that´s not cherry...
Chicken goes in pie comes out
Yeah make a shepherds pie in a pie make good idea looooool😂 shepherd's pie doesnt have crusts its made in a baking dish
I wish thay would quit making everything in brushed stainless steel instead of just stainless steel . It must be cheaper for them to use that ugly brushed stainless steel.
...she has good cherry filling....heh
I hate being that creepy guy, lol, but she's gorgeous.
you are soooooooooooooo cute my god your man is lucky
