Nikita made the mistake of thinking that his monopoly situation would last forever, the Tarkov players were hostages to BSG.
Still are, ABI isnt the Tarkov replacement. Much higher time to kill and much less gun modding, less immersive gameplay and maps. Closest Tarkov replacement was DMZ if Activision would have actually gone further with it and sorted out the bugs.

They will most likely monetize with skins. And if you think a monthly subscription of $3 is worde p2w than th shit you get for the one off payments of 150 and 250 you're insane.

In game items are different. (found allot of items that tarkov does not have)
Healing system is different. (Medkit actually heals all damaged limbs gradually instead of having to wait 10 years and manually heal each one)
Guns recoil is different.
Since it is real life gun and attachments those cannot be counted as similarities.
Extraction is different (You have smokes on the map)
A actual in game map exists.
PS: I admit, some buildings are copy-paste layouts of tarkov and dayz. The inventory looks copy paste (except keytool). The looting and searching containers is copy-paste. The game feels like Tarkov...more arcade...buuut allot better in my perspective.

This is the biggest for me. I played tarkov some hours back in the days. Now I tried it again and there was cheaters everywhere. And all of my gaming friends will wait Arena Breakout because its free and its on steam. Many people like myself dont want some new launchers/websites for every game. Steam is da best!
I was hyped for this untill my account got banned for 10 years of "using hacks or thrid party helping tools". my steam acc is clean from any bans for 13 years~. Its nota VAC ban but there are still game ban list. It was a false positive ban btw that maybe caused by VANGUARD but others reported their mouse software did it. 8 days~ later it got removed, because it happened with hundreds of users and we had to riot on discord, social media etc. ABI even made a offical announcment about it and we got 200k Koen compensation reward, still some folks are banned from discord. long story short, i highly recommend to play this game on a alt steam account not on your main and disable all background softwares. Some dude got unbanned then banned again after a few raids, now imagine if you spend money on this for battle pass and get banned and it won't be lifted...
The thing is, when I tell people to hop on a f2p game they usually are scared of pay2win or cheaters cause there is no price barrier or risk for hacking in f2p. But in the extraction shooter genre the industry leader charges 50$ AND is totally infested with cheaters plus pay to win, too. So that takes away any downside that free2play titles have for tarkov clones specifically.
Arena breakout is now only in beta. Things are either only going to get better or worse, we will see then.
Right now the features in ABI is just a quarter of them compared to the mobile version. So imagine the state of the game one it's fully released. More guns, new maps and events like airdrop and storm

I started playing Tarkov immediately after Twitch streamers got permission to stream it early on in development years ago. I played religiously for long time, but having to restart the game every 6-8 months or so even for small updates got a little redundant and lets be real, annoying. If I have to collect a gold pocket watch from an 18 wheeler one more fucking time man....any other game in early development can push out an update and still keep player progress while adding new content, wtf is the deal with Tarkov? At this point Tarkov isn't even in early access or whatever term you want to use anymore, it's a fairly old game, I'm just tired of the "early access" bullshit overall, make your game, and then release it when it works and is complete. Instead of riding on peoples money who hope for the game you promise, which in reality doesn't even exist.

My fiancée plays the mobile version and is excited for the pc one, we just need a 2nd pc to play together haahah.
Anyhow people yapping about it going to turn p2w are wack, the mobile version isn't p2w, so why would it be on the pc version? especially since it so much easier to get mobile players to buy microtransactions and a whole lot more lucrative.
I'm excited for ABI and cannot wait for it to release. It's just *S-O M-U-C-H* better than Tarkov.

I honestly doubt it. I’ve been playing the mobile version since season 1 and I am yet to come across a single hacker. They get banned so FAST, I don’t know how AB does it but it’s really effective and they give reports of how many cheaters are banned weekly. If that translates to PC, I doubt the game will be ridden with cheaters

My first thought when I loaded into a map for the first time in Arena Breakout Infinite was that my character was carrying too much as I was moving really slowly, even sprinting I felt lumbered and unsmooth in my movement.

I mean I like Tarkov but currently I am only playing ABI because it respects my time - 40 seconds to get into raid instead of 8-10 minutes is awesome. ABI will become great game with some minor changes :) can't wait for it. I am also curious if BSG will give up or start seriously working on their game :)
My friend has a NASA PC and still waits a minimum of 3-5 minutes to get in the game, Tarkov bootlickers will say it’s just your machine as if the “matching” screen doesn’t take 2-5 minutes. It’s even worse on the PvE mode, I watched my friend wait 9 minutes and 14 seconds just to get into a glorified offline raid.
Still rockin the basic starting packs for both SC and EFT since they started. What a ride its been. Def got my moneys worth from both but wipes are feeling more and more like Groundhog Day.
So many QoL that I complained about for years on the forums are in this game.

The only thing im worried about is the potential microtransactions, considering they are using words like "battlepass" and such already, and the fact your secure container has a time limit, indicating that in the future you might have to keep buying more time to keep it
the battle pass stuff is probably just cosmetic or gives you more money, and the secure loot container isn’t anything to worry about whatsoever in my opinion. Casual players need some way to reliably make money, and if they’re willing to shell out $3 - $9 a month, they get a way to store up to 4 - 9 items a raid to make that money. People who are good at the game and invest a lot of time can just do scav runs or hatchet runs.

The most best it gives you is a weapon and some grenades (and "points" to get a crate)
If you finished the battle pass,don't worry,you still can get xp to level up your battle pass and get even more stuffs ( I forgot what are those stuffs cuz the only time I maxed out BP is during season 2)

The unheared drama is the main reason I tried out SPT and god damn its just soo much more "consistent" fun than live tarkov.
Live tarkov has higher highs yes, but your average enjoyment of the game is so much lower than SPT (with good AI mods)

The audio is PERFECTION. i haven't had any issues pin pointing anything in this game so far. and the netcode...WOW.. i dont know how the did it, I have played on 35 ping raids and 200 ping raids and there is zero d-sync regardless and all my bullets make contact like they should, there is no rubber banding or anything. Man ABI...Its the new king 100%

The spending on servers at this point is between 35-40 million dollars a year if you assume a rather small number of servers per region. I cant plat breakout the way i want to as seems they have restricted key binds, so as a lefty i cant change to the keys i require. hopefully they will resolve this soon. Other issue is its free but is it as from what i have seen you have to pay a sub to get certain things so would cost more other time, also could be pay to win.

I never ever say a game will kill another game because an established game is so hard to destroy from the outside. This is the one exception that I really do think tarkov is cooked if nothing changes due to arena breakout for all the reasons explained in this video. Arena break is so much more accessible and modern.
yes tarkov only flourished because there was no competition. now, that there is a direct competitor they are indeed cooked. the only thing keeping players from migrating from a paid broken mess to a free polished game is the community and they burned that already.

GZW: The game that's shaping up to become what Tarkov promised in 2016.
ABI: Tarkov as it ended up being, but far more polished and completely free.
In other words there's literally no reason to keep playing Trashkov. If you're one of the early 2016-2018 backers then GZW is what you always wanted. If you're a post-2019 player then ABI is the fast paced PvP with pre-inertia movement that you loved. Trashkov has nothing unique to offer anymore.

There are tons of events every season, game modes and stuff like that, the content of the Beta is like a quarter of what the mobile version has. But I do agree that at least on PC, they should make a Koen wipe, keeping all your stuff, but the koen going back to 500k every season

He's not wrong. Once Tarkov hits 1.0 and game "comes out", they'll add the DLC maps later msybe some additional stuff then drop it say bye bye and move on. Oh, they might also C&D SPT on the way out (I'll believe mod support when I see it, I x to doubt because BSG got The Nexus Page for EFT/SPT mods taken down.) It would not suprise me if they fucked off afterwards.
A reminder we still don't have tons of features that SPT has.
Whereas with ABI, they have 10 seasons of stuff/content to add. There's no wipes and the game is constantly updating/adding stuff. In short, ABI will likely be thriving after EFT dies and will take alot of players if it hasn't already. Thats why Nikita is panicking about them "stealing" shit and talking shit on Twitter about them while making more promises. He needs more money his 4 million dollar salary isn't enough apparently.
ABI already deals with cheaters too much in some cases hence false bans. So that's not a worry. Carry service/RMT is dead in ABI.

agree 100% i played takrov since pre alpha.for few years i saw game developed and became god game.but after some point that they had so many active players or new players bought the game. it felt that they stoped developing the game and enjoying just the money they took, doing 0 things in the game.its not hate its disappointing seeing a game we loved and had high hopes betray that way.

As an EOD player since the early days I agree completely, Nikita had everything he needed and threw it in the trash. ABI is leaps and bounds better and simply playing against legit players with high fps changes everything.

yes I do agree with you at least for the mobile version. Mobile version does feel like pubg but you keep the loot and more tacticool. As for the pc version from what i can see it plays much more like tarkov does.

I don't own Tarkov. I always wanted it but its expensive and I never knew if the game would run smooth on my pc and what my ping would be since I live far far away down in South Africa. On top of that I am casual. I only get an hour or 2 to play late night before bed. So Arena Breakout seems to be catering for me much more pleasantly than Tarkov ever did.

Let me say also, I found eroktic my easteuropean copy, I always had the same thinking as him, I know him since the beginning in tarkov, I played with him on apex legends and we rocked that game, I remember how fakking baby Nikita copystriked eroktic because he couldn't handle the criticism about his game, I remember every stupid tarkov streamers with a lot of helping from bsg for publicly the game, I remember all the lies of Nikita, his incompetence is stunning, not able to faking read what his community is suggesting for the game because we have better experience, I played test servers and reported so many bad bugs and I saw several patches where those bugs didn't get a fix (I'm talking like grenades stuck on windows ecc ecc), its 3 years that I consider nikita the tumor of that company, his ego was gigantic, he thinks he is the perfect man and his game is the best, he lied about the cheaters situation,he keep constantly try to hide big problems under a tiny layer of dust, he had the chance....he screwed up big times, I also dont want tarkov to die because I think bsg have competents devs inside but Nikita.....oh he have to quit, leave the scene and dont show his face again in the videogames world.

bsg has no suing grounds. even if they iniatie a lawsuit from uk, consumers will start their own lawsuits against bsg for the broken promises on eod. otherwise, gl starting a serious lawsuit from rusia
Someone else also said, that some of the code ABI uses was given by Tarkov devs themself. If that is true, Tarkov has less than zero chance to win at court, but it becomes a target for counter suing by both ABI and players.

Im looking forward to playing the PVE mode with my friends, never going to touch PVP again though. Waste of time with the amount of cheaters and issues.
Bit on the fence for this because of Tencent. Asian f2p models can be really bad. I'll keep up to date on it cause it looks quite good. We'll see how it turn out. And I'm pretty sure we'll see cheaters sooner or later. Question is how they'll handle it.

I believe you can buy the in game currency which can be used to buy anything, think of buying roubles from Tarkov and also being able to buy a secure container monthly. The buying gear is whatever, you still die insanely fast, the container is the only off thing, but tbh you pay 140 for a 3x3 container in Tarkov

As soon I think about playing Tarkov and everything that means... I then add cheaters to that equation and it's a huge NO.
The load times alone make me not want to not play, it just takes so much time out of my day
But Look Eroktic I do agree with you as what Tarkov should be but its just out there 7 years ago. Most games are developed for this long if not longer. They are a small team of Devs Tencent is massive huge orbital. Ofc they will release a way more polished game in a couple of years.
