Your can't beat the classic, early to mid 70's, Ideal Shirley. Such a pretty doll in all that red and white. Also, Ideal's 60's and 70's, hand molds for dolls and baby dolls, made for such graceful hands!! Love them.
Shirley was adorable and so talented. She grew up to be a wonderful humanitarian that really made a difference for many people. I love your dolls Sue sooo cute! I would love to have the Ideal Play Pal Heidi Shirley Temple. Thanks for the upload and God bless! 😊💖💖💖
Play Pal Heidi, I will look her up. Thanks Lance for all you knowledge, as usual!!😍😍 I am wearing lashes!!! Not much fun!! ( I don't know where your comment went, but I saw it)
@@lancedukel3436 Thanks, did you watch the one where they were falling off. LOL I had fun with it. I have fairly long lashes so I never wore them before, but they show up great in the videos.
@@BarbieLove Did they lol, I will go back and watch again. They add such definition to the eye. That Ideal Play Pal Heidi doll is 36 inches tall and amazing, have a look.😊
I should mention, Shirley was originally cast as Dorothy in The Wizard of Oz. There was some problems because she belonged to another studio. The part went to the young Judy Garland and Shirley's studio made The Blue Bird, another fantasy children's movie. The rest, as they say is history. 😊
Your Shirleys are adorable. I have the composition 22 inch and the vinyl 18" version made in 1957 . I want the baby Shirley but they are too expensive for me. Thanks for sharing your Shirley's.
I am not a Shirley Temple collector but I do have the doll. A friend gave her to me and said I could sell her but I won't for sentimentality. She is 18 inch composition from the 30"s. I made her a dress and she lives in a small cupboard with a glass door so I can see her.
Oh i love shirley temple. I watched all her movies with my grandmother. My grandmother gave me her composition doll when I was 12. She had gotten her for a gift when she was 12. I still have her. She is not in great condition since we both loved her a lot. Lol.
She was an amazing talent and amazing dolls. She was the only star who out drew Clark Gable at the movies. I think Heidi was my favorite of her movies.
I have an original Shirley from the 1930's that was my mothers.. Her Aunt was a buyer for an upscale department store and she would go to NYC to buy. She bought 2 of these for my mom and her sister. My mothers doll is all original. The metal heart wrist tag is missing. My mom had said it was somewhere but after she passed last year, I looked for it but could not find it. Her only flaw is the eyes have cracked. Looks like some you showed on eBay have had the eyes replaced. Her dress is red with embroidery on the yoke. It may be faded a bit because it is a pink red. Hair bow is cherry red. Her value has been up and down over the years depending on Shirley's popularity at the time.
Your Shirleys are Lovely nice you have a really early one! I have 3 50's ST-12 versions too! Such a bargain for those prices, I like her face better than the earlier or later dolls. I think the prices not only reflect on the coloring but how well the hair is styled. They had a Lot of hair! Also I Loved Shirley Temple movies as a child! Hard to imagine having that much talent at such a young age acting singing and dancing! All time Favorite movie would be The Little Princess from 1939. Not as theatrical or musical as some of her others. You just can't Not Love that movie! Thanks for showing your Shirlieys Sue!
Welcome. I got to watch one of her movies, I have had a couple recommendations now. Heidi and Little Princess. She was a darling little girl and a remarkable lady from what I have heard.
I have around 60 of them..Its an obsession..when I had mine in 1957 at 4-5 years old loved her but did cut her curls..😅my mom was mad so its been my life obsession to find them and take care if them..I hope my mom sees them..
The 70's have a rubber face and the body was hard plastic..Dont like the way they did the hair..The hair is teak short in back..the 50''s are way better. The compositions are the most valuable..

Glad you kept her, I really love the old ones, so much thought and quality went into them and they are old girls now.

That is wonderful that you shared the movies and doll with your grandmother. Beautiful 😍 beautiful 😍
I absolutely love Shirley Temple I grew up watching her movies with my little sister 💕
Cool, I only watched some of her movies. I plan to watch one . What is best in your opinion?

I have never watched a full movie, I should watch Heidi if it was your favorite.
@@BarbieLove She doesnt sing or dance in that one, if I recall. But it is so moving!
