    I got one of these about 3 months ago, and love it. This was my most expensive watch I have ever bought. It is gorgeous, and mine is accurate within ~1s / day. It's not too big or thick on my 7.5" wrist either, at least for me. I use the GMT function when i travel too, its great. My only complaint is it's not as easy to read at a glance, unless i have my readers on, but maybe that's my own problem.

    Had my “Diet Pepsi” two years now. In fact, I just had it returned from warranty service as it suddenly started running 8-12 spd slow, for no reason. It was a quick turnaround through my AD. Otherwise, it is one of my favorite watches. This new opaline dial is beautiful.

    I picked mine up last year. I love the dial but the bracelet lacks a Tfit on the fly adjustment. Not happy about it. I change the strap with a Zelande with deployment clasp. It’s now one my wear wrist. I have the Pro and Pelagos date in blue those two have on the fly adjustment. I also have the BB41. When I purchased it it didn’t have a Tfit. Now they have it. I wish I could just trade in the bracelet. I now have it on a black Zelande strap. I enjoy being a Tudor fanboy. I do have the Rolex Starbucks submariner and date just mint green but my heart belongs to Tudor. Looking at 54 and gmt coke.

    Nice vid. It’s an underperforming one from Tudor which I don’t understand. I picked mine up last August & kept it back for Christmas: it hasn’t left my wrist since: I think it’s a stunner & time will reveal it to be a classic among modern Tudors.

    Hey Bruce, great video. As a BB GMT Opaline owner, a few notes: 1) the camera cannot capture the luxuriousness of the dial. On your camera, it looks flat white. 2) I totally agree with the jubilee dial--that would be fire and give some folks the chance to own something close to the Rolex GMT jubilee. 3) Longinies and other brands cannot compare to the BB GMT. If you check out Teddy's March brackets video, the two Tudors crushed other competition.

    Compelling GMT that is not a typical black dial. If they would have blackened the markers and hands, similar to the Polar Explorer II to improve legibility, that would be amazing. Just look at the legibility of the new white dial Omega Speedmaster Professional.

    Great review - love this watch and I fully agree with your assessment and criticisms. Looking at what Tudor is doing to some of their other models, I think it's likely we will see the next version as a thinner watch with the jubilee bracelet and t fit clasp. Unfortunately though they'll probably get rid of the snowflake hands and replace that distinctive crown - two features I personally really like.

    I tried this on at Feldmar watch Co., and on my six and a half inch wrist, it was just too slab sided. The Christopher Ward light catcher case on a trident 600 was similarly thick, but contoured to not be noticed. It would be interesting to see tudor do something like that

    My favorite sub 5k true GMT is Mido’s Ocean Star Decompression Worldtimer. I love the look of it and it’s not even 2k. It is difficult to read and the finishing is not on par with Tudor, but dude it has some serious personality, gets you a lot of attention and compliments. Feels very true to it’s design heritage. Heck, I’d rather have both colorways of the Mido over one Tudor.

    My 3 favourites were: this tudor, the Longines zulu and the TAG Heuer aquaracer. The zulu disappointed big time irl: the dome is very high and I don;t like how deep the dial sits inside. The Tudor is much better looking irl especially this opaline dial. So I bought the Tudor and love it. I also bought the aquaracer last month: it's great but much more finicky to set time/gmt.

    When I want to buy a true GMT watch last year. I have compared the Zulu Time and Tudor BB GMT completely.
    Finally I was chose the Zulu Time base on three major points. 1. Tudor is 1000 USD more expensive. 2. Zulu Time has ceramic bezel. 3. The lump of Zulu Time is more beautiful. I like the numbers of hour over the round dot of Tudor. And there are other reasons but don't mention here.

  • @YOJIMBO_ESCANOR
    @YOJIMBO_ESCANOR 9 месяцев назад +1

    For me the Longines win the match easy ... First of all, on the BB you have 3 timers GMT... What for??? The Longines here, is more versatile than Tudor BB, you have your 2 GMT times and also you can dive with it. Second, the "snow fake" hand is realy gross. In the longines i think it's smoother and less agressiv for the eyes and the global aspect of the dial. Thirth, the Longines have a mix of indexes matching good with the versability of the watch (diver+GMT). The Tudor have diver indexes only but you can't definitly dive with it, it's a total non-sens. The good point of the tudor, it's the contrast with black hands on white dial and the blue/red of the bezel. On the macros, we can see the finish of the numbers on the tudor BB bezel is not good, the edge of the numbers are not perfect and for an expenssiv watch like that, it's definitivly a "no-go' or me. Sorry for the bad english 😁, nice video, like usual with you. 👍

      The Blackbay line is clearly their most popular, largest, and let's face it a bit confusing line between the dive watches, time only, and GMTs, but the Pelagos gets love, the Royal is a cool watch, the Ranger seems to be doing pretty well, the 1928 is one of the best looking and well finished watches for the money. To me, they have a lot more to offer than just the blackbay line. Although I do love the balckbays, especially the 58 and the new heritage.
