FYI, not sure if anyone is called this out: you need to turn off any EQ’s built into the phone’s music app. The JBL has its own through the app that’s inherent. Thanks!
Whoah whoah whoah. I’ve had these months and had no idea about this. I thought these were incredible already but this just made these sound even more incredible thank you
Per your comments on the volume, I was having the same concern, and then I just happened to change out the rubber tip to the larger one and OMG, what a massive difference that made to sound quality and volume. Very happy with them
Just picked up the Best Buy version in the US, the 235NC TWS for $49 USD on a holiday special. Blown away! I'm a huge JBL fan going way back. I'm running an older Bluetooth speaker with my LG OLED instead of a soundbar and it's great! Nice review. JBL is offering the Live Pro 2 for $99 USD. Tempting, but I may just stick with these.
i bought a pair months ago and love them.. however the right earbud kept having low battery even after it being in a fully charged case for hours. found out that for some reason its usually not charging. if you push it in the light will come on. i thought it was defective and bought another pair (also as a spare).. same thing happens! really frustrating because i love these earbuds. wondering if anyone else has experienced this
Yeah, but it wasn’t a problem untill the case didn’t drop a few times😅 After that i had that problem too, the buds just sometimes didn’t charge, i bought a new ones recently and there’s no problem, hopefully there won’t be any problem cuz damn i love them
@@maxim.d27 I couldn't take it anymore. I watched reviews on some more expensive buds and got the sony xf1000xm4's. not as easy to put in and take out and not as comfortable but they sound great and seem to be holding a charge and recharging consistently
well the sony's are awesome but if you want to stay in a lower price point one option is the beats buds pro. my gf has them and they seem good. no problem with holding a charge. the app doesnt have an eq though
Hi, can someone help me to choose between this JBL tune 230nc and Anker soundcore liberty 4nc? Clearly Liberty 4nc has better nc, but do they sound as good as Tune 230nc? I'm not only looking for bass, but also clarity and details as well... Plz help
I bought these yesterday to replace my Wyze Bud Pros that started to make humming noise and lasted only 5 months. The JBL build quality seems very good but I'm not sure about the sound yet. The base does not seem to be as deep as I am used to or maybe its just me getting used to new earbuds. I use them mostly for running, road cycling.
I have same experience, until I found out to download their JBL app - there you can switch on the bass. And now - WOW amazing sound. Have them for 4 month now and would buy a new pair if I lost them
Try the other 2 bud sizes that come with it. My sound experience increased 60% after I tried the L size earbuds. The difference is unbelievable and the bass is amazing now!! Hope this helps..
So my GF and I just got these and I really like them but I would love them if they were louder, we both feel like at max volume on our iPhones (14 and 11) the earbuds aren’t very loud and this really disappoints me. Is there anyway to make these louder? Even cheap skull candy wired earbuds are louder please help lol
This has happened to me a couple of times .. turn off bluetooth on your phone and turn the volume all the way down .. put the buds back into the case and re-pair them. hope this helps.
Jbl tune 230 nc is better… better sound, larger battery. Nothing ear 1 only has better design, better noise cancellation and has wireless charger. Yes, nothing ear 1 has more feature but having a better sound quality and larger battery is useful whenever you’ll be using it. And also the jbl tune 230 nc lessen its ANC for safety reason.
just got these and love them so far. one thing I was wondering is if there is a way to use them without having the case with me. for example if i want to go jogging and dont want the case in my pocket. i know you can change the power settings so that the earbuds turn off after 15min but I dont see a way to turn them back on without putting them in the case, so it doesnt seem like you can turn them on and off from the earbud. anyone know a way to do this? or does anyone know of another earbud (airpods, pixel buds, etc) that allow you to do this? seems like a design flaw to me
I'm sure you already figured this out because you posted this 5 months ago, but if you don't have your charging case with you just before you leave turn the auto power down - off. After 15 minutes of inactivity they will go into a standby mode and then all you need to do is tap the sides of the earbuds to turn them back on again. I was concerned about the same question that you had and just figured this out today but I just received them a day ago.
@@RelivitMedia thanks. i either didnt notice the standby option or it wasnt available before an update but i see it now btw when youre in a call is the sound quality bad? music sounds great but call audio is quiet and muffled for me and because these fit snugly in my ear, i hear too much bass from my own voice that i have to twist them to make them loose.. sound quality still bad though. when i switch to my jabra Bluetooth (one piece for calls) it sounds much better
I have these pair of earphones myself that are really good, but they have entered a thing called mono mode and now I. An only listen through one earphone at a time, any help to fix this would be appreciated
Don't know if you've already fixed it, but on my Tune225TWS I can swap between sterero and mono mode by; first connecting to the phone, then press and hold the button on both Left and Right buds for approx. 3 seconds and done. Hope it works on this model as well.
@@martinojep would this ear bud be a good choice for work? I always use ear plugs, but now I need some music/podcasts. My ears are not good and loud noises hurt my ears. Is this a good choice for blocking loud harmful sound?
You forgot to mention the common issue of the left headphone randomly dying permanently after about a month out of the box. Would not recommend these to anyone.
@@BIGZcwalker yeah I just got 2 faulty sets from two different stores. Really weird. Meanwhile I've never had a set of skull candy buds malfunction before the two year mark
The buds has the best feature to stay connected with your phone even though you case them. I bought a JBL 230 NC and using them is nightmare. One should be lucky enough to get the buds to disconnect, as if it is in deep love with your phone. Terrible experience. Yes it has a 40 hours battery life. But the case won't initiate charging cz it won't accept the fact that you cased it. ANC is Okey, but it completely shuts down when you make a call making an outdoor call terrible. During a call mic picks every single noise except your voice. Though the sound quality is good it is totally worthless as of my 3 months used experience.
Have you tried calling someone and ask them how you sound to them? It's horrible and the noise suppression is so bad they can hear everything in the background
You need to try the other 2 sizes that come in the box! I only got a tight seal with the L size and now the bass is like whoa!! Amazing.. your ear size could be different so make sure you try all with the same bassy section of a song.. go with the one you hear the most bass with. That size will also give you better noise canceling
I found the instructions to be piss poor....trying to guide illiterates so they can sell all over the world! Fucking materialist world, nothing on the mind but $$$.
Have you even tried these earbuds? I got them yesterday and they sound amazing with amazing bass once I changed the earbud to the correct size for me which is L..

Compared to the JBL live pro+ which one of these to is best and would you choose sound wise?

In Airpods you doesnt need to turn off or on. Once you put in ears it will work untill its battery dead.
