Honestly I’ve been getting similar comments about that recently. I wish I could tell you I still had them. After having the Live Pro 2 for a while I decided to get rid of these and sell them. So I can’t speak personally on the longevity cause I only had them for a few months and for the last month I was barely using them anymore.
The durability is amazing. Best durability I've had in earbuds. I've had multiple galaxy buds and other brands. They lasted for me twice as long as any other earbuds I've owned.
I’m excited to receive mine. I bought them for $45 and since my delivery date got pushed back a few days I asked Amazon for a credit and they gave me a $5 dollar credit so … pretty great deal and I’ve been hearing great things

I have been using these for almost a year now. Pretty good headphones with good sound and very impressive battery life. You honestly forget that these things need charging sometimes. They are a little bit slippery that's one of the con's. For the rest not much to complain about. Very solid, good sounding headphones, which I bought for a true bargain at Amazon.
Another con btw which I just remembered is that you need to disconnect it from one device to connect to another. I had Apple Headphones before these can't remember that with them. When you connected it to another device they automatically disconnected from another. This is actually the largest con for me. You can live with it, but it would be much easier to connect it straight away without disconnecting.

I got these ear phones in white 3 weeks ago from target for 49.99 and I love them. And the connectivity between one of more blutooth devices maybe that came with an update but I can connect seamlessly between walking from the gym to my car and it switching easy
Interesting! Are you able to switch back and forth without going to settings and connecting to a new device? I’m unsure if multi point connection is just something that can be added with a software update. If so that’s crazy!
I've been between these, Airpod Pros OR some traditional over the ear NC (I've looked at the Soundcore Q30s...which are $80). I know over the ear are a different ball game, but I've got a lot of upcoming travel plans...so looking for decent NC...as well as comfort. Of those 3 what do you think my best option would be? FYI those JBLs are $50 at the moment. Thanks.
All are great options. I think they all come down to preference and budget. I have used the Sony WH-1000mx4, which are like one of the top of the line over ear headphones, and AirPods Pro’s 1st and 2nd gen on during travel. And I’ll say despite my Sonys being the better performing in NC. I typically reached for my AirPods Pro for the convenience. It was easier to reach into my pocket than reaching into my bag for the Sonys. That being said, the AirPods Pro still did a very comparable job to the Sonys so I didn’t feel like I was missing much. The AirPods Pro’s are obviously much more expensive than the Q30s and these JBLs. If you have the budget for both I’d say grab these Tune 230s or the JBL Live Pro 2s (much better for and more comparable to the AirPods Pro and still affordable. I think they’re on sale for $99). Then you can also get the Q30s and they’d still be cheaper than the AirPods Pro 2nd gen. But if you have budget for one device then I’d side with either AirPods Pro or JBL Live Pro 2. Hope that’s helpful!
I got these about a month ago or like 3 weeks ago for 52 bucks. They aren't the best out there but they are really good for the price. I like them better then my airpods 3rd generation 🤪 that cost me 200 bucks. I have been spending on earbuds left and right now I'm happy. However, since the galaxy buds pro 2 are out I would like to check those out.

Hi! Im considering these earbuds. Im not interested in higher end ones, have an iphone but not in the ecosystem, dont need to pair it with 2 devices. My only cocern is the latency. Not for gaming just for youtube, netflix, hbo max and disney plus. If im going to watch those will i have out of sync experience or does those platforms smart enough to compensate for the delay and sync the videos for me? Thanks for the answer. Nice videos. Hi on the JBL app, there will be a setting you can turn on for "video mode" that will reduce latency. So once you get these connected, highly recommended getting the app to customize that option. These should do the job for you.
Honestly I haven’t tried it but after looking at the specs and price. I think I’d go with the Tune 230s because of they are currently back down to $80 usd. And have almost all the same functionality outside of the live pro+ having wireless charging. But like I said, I haven’t tried them the live pro+ so I’m not sure if I’d give you the most accurate answer there.
Can you adjust the volume up and down from the headphones itself? And may be you can advise what is best to choose between JBL Tune 230 NC and Sony WF-C700N ? I'm looking for the best quality for the lowest price possible))
On the app you can change the touch controls on the earbuds to adjust volume if you like but straight out the box it does not do that. as for the question between these and the Sony's I know sony's have great sound quality in those earbuds exactly so I cant say for sure. What about the sound quality? How do they sound? How's the frequency response curve for these? How good is the Equalizer? You completely skipped the sound quality part
I am admittedly not an “audio file” so I didn’t feel like I could speak that clearly into that. The best I can offer is that they sound great to my. I never had any songs or podcast sound bad in my use. The customization from the app really allows you to find the sound that you want from them. I do have a video where I compare these to the live pro 2 and I go a bit more in depth with the sound quality. It’s not slippery for me maybe u have oily hand lol and that size it’s perfect it fined and I don’t like I have to hit the button 🙄 for hey siri 👎🏽that the down fall, I like the long lasting battery I have it for 8hrs still have 63% battery left and I still like it on that part
Lmao it’s actually prob cause they were dry 😅 but when I swamped the blue ones I reviewed for white ones, I noticed the white ones were a less slippery. So maybe the color maybe just me 😂 Yeah the Siri situation is definitely frustrating but that battery life is hard to beat!
Can I ask what people speak of when they mean durability? Have people commented on how they hold up without damage, or how they hold up after being damaged/dropped? Thinking of buying them.
Some people have issues of connectivity but as far as I can remember, none from those who have commented here, or myself, have any issues with damages after dropping. As I mentioned the most that has happened to me is that I dropped the case a couple times. But the earbuds weren’t affected by the drop at all. Just minor scratches on the case.
Hey Carlos, I didn’t have this issue with my pair. But I have had a similar issue with an old pair. Usually restarting my iPhone and making sure the earbuds were changed helped fix it. If not you may have a faulty pair and need to get them replaced. Hope this helps!
Guys I bought these buds they connect well but the their is no sound that comes out of the left bud but it’s well connected I tried returning and buying new ones but it’s still the some problems,please someone help 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
I had problems on mine. Only one side works . They can't seem to sync together. I reset them then the right side doesn't work and then reset again then the left side doesn't work. So frustrating. So you have a solution to this problem?
Dang sorry to hear that! I traded in my blue pair for a white pair recently and never experienced anything like that with either pair. Are you able to trade it in or get it replaced? You very well might just have a defective pair.
I unintentionally got mine for free. Came with my new Venza 😂 I guess someone lost them when they did the test drive the Venza bc no one in my family has one before.
One of my issues with AirPods Pro is the lack of bass. I never realized it until I purchased Sony XM5 headphones (not earbuds) and now it is really hard to enjoy AirPods anymore. Looking at these for the heavy bass, but is the bass nice and deep bass or cheap and bloated/muddy bass? Trying to figure out what to get to replace my AirPods Pro.
I can understand that! I'm not huge on bass but these definitely felt a bit more muddy bass compared to the JBL Live Pro 2. Those felt like it had better richer bass imo.
Air pods are only good with apple products cause you get the full functionality of them just like galaxy buds with galaxy products. Can you use these earbuds individually?
Battery is great in my experience. They lasted longer than my first generation AirPods Pro did! 40 hours is certainly a stretch if you are using active noise canceling as well. So it is more like 32-35 hours I would say.

Though I haven't used the Sony Wh710. I can say that the ANC on the Tune 230 is good, but not sure it would compete well against over ear headphones. So I think I'd say the Sony's. Hope that's somewhat helpful

I’ve never tried the Sennheiser CX but my thought is that they will do better at the gym than these Tune 230s. I would suggest looking into the JBL Live Pro 2! Those are great in gym, I still use those semi regularly
I think some cases use matte instead of what airpods use because airpods can easily slip out your pocket when wearing joggers. ive literally lost a pair of airpods 3s this way 😂
Dang! That makes sense too! There have been other cases that had a matte texture that wasn’t as slippery as these. But it could also just be my dry hands lol
Unfortunately not. As I shared in the video, that’s one of my biggest gripes about these earbuds. You’ll have to disconnect and reconnect to used them on several devices. Otherwise they are decent for their price point.
Hey Shola, just wanted to follow up I miss understood the meaning of dual connectivity. I thought you were refering to the ability that is better known as multi-point connection. I often mix the two up. That being said, these Tune 230NC do indead have dual connectivity. so you will be able to use each ear bud individually if you need to.
I haven’t tried the 130s personally. But they seem to have similar specs so it might just come down to preference. Do you want one with a stem or stemless design? Yeah I just reviewed the Tour Pro 2 in a recent video and that's one of my gripes with them, they are so expensive! but tbh they are really impressive.
In my use I didn’t have much of an issue while weightlifting and playing basketball. But for a better seal you might benefit from foam ear tip replacements.
I got them from a third party from Amazon. They don’t have a hook but from my experience it is much better than silicon tips that they come with. They were pretty inexpensive too
Sorry to hear that! Some people have had similar issues and were either able to get a refund / replacement that worked. Or where the issue went away over time. Hopefully the same happens for you!
If your still having issues, and you are able to get a refund or a replacement from JBL that's what I would suggest. They are usually pretty helpful with all of that.
Bass heavy doesn't sound good for me. Also, they seem bulky compared to galaxy buds 2. Especially if i am going to lay on my bed, these prevent me to lay on my side, although, I can remove the bud from that side. On the other hand, tune 230 is on sale for 40€, which seems nice, because it is quite likely I don't like in-ear headphones at all. Samsung buds 2 costs 80€, which is literally twice the price. Then there is also jabra elite 3 active for 80e and jabra elite 4 active for 90€. I think all of those are better then this, but waste of money if I don't like either of those. Annoyin that you cannot try these before you buy, but it is's obvious why that is not possible.
I definitely feel you in that! Everyone has different preferences but it’s hard to know what your preferences will actually be unless you try them all! I’m luck to have pretty flexible return policy here in the US through Amazon. Are the return policies difficult where you are?
Totally disappointed with these JBL's. Got the first pair in the spring but after some 6 weeks the left one stopped charging in the box. Went back to the store and changed them under guarantee for a second pair. 6-8 weeks later....Same problem. No charging for the left one and no connection could be made through the app. So back again and got a third pair....You guessed it....Same problem...Now changed them for a pair of Sennheisers. Hope these people take making headphones more seriously. By the way, this seems to be a known issue with these headphones.

@@ardentlytech We had them exchanged for a pair of Sennheiser CX True wireless headphones. Pretty much the same price range and also with an excellent sound performance. The JBL's are great when it comes to quality for pricing but if they become unreliable every other month....Might be a batch of badly produced headphones or a firmware glitch of some kind but anyway...As long as customer service is ok nobody was lost overboard...Keep posting!

i bought a pair months ago and love them.. however the right earbud kept having low battery even after it being in a fully charged case for hours. found out that for some reason its usually not charging. if you push it in the light will come on. i thought it was defective and bought another pair (also as a spare).. same thing happens! really frustrating because i love these earbuds. wondering if anyone else has experienced this
Wow! That blows, a few people have mentioned here that they had a similar issue but most of them have also shared that after they got a replacement pair, they didn’t have the same issue. I wonder if there was a batch that was made that were affected with the same issue.

@@ardentlytech yes and its highly rated. they are bigger and would not fit if someone has smaller ears.. but the case is actually smaller than the 230nc's.. so its even more compact which I like
I found them uncomfortable to wear as they poked my inner ear when rotated to the proper position. The controls are also really arcane as tap 1, 2 or 3 times each can do 3 or 4 different tasks. Maybe you can remember all those, but i sure couldn't. JMO - Returning them and on to the Samsung Bud 2 Pro, so far liking them better. But should at $100 more.

My JBL 230 ANC are stuck in mono mode , I m only able to use only single earbud, tried resetting it but still the same
Weird! I never had that issue before. Could be a defective pair that you can get a for. Have you tried letting the die and recharging them?

I am admittedly not an “audio file” so I didn’t feel like I could speak that clearly into that. The best I can offer is that they sound great to my. I never had any songs or podcast sound bad in my use. The customization from the app really allows you to find the sound that you want from them. Lmao it’s actually prob cause they were dry 😅 but when I swamped the blue ones I reviewed for white ones, I noticed the white ones were a less slippery. So maybe the color maybe just me 😂
Yeah the Siri situation is definitely frustrating but that battery life is hard to beat!
Can I ask what people speak of when they mean durability? Have people commented on how they hold up without damage, or how they hold up after being damaged/dropped? Thinking of buying them.
Some people have issues of connectivity but as far as I can remember, none from those who have commented here, or myself, have any issues with damages after dropping. As I mentioned the most that has happened to me is that I dropped the case a couple times. But the earbuds weren’t affected by the drop at all. Just minor scratches on the case.

Hey Carlos, I didn’t have this issue with my pair. But I have had a similar issue with an old pair. Usually restarting my iPhone and making sure the earbuds were changed helped fix it. If not you may have a faulty pair and need to get them replaced. Hope this helps!

Wish I could tell you but I haven’t tried the galaxy buds2. I would assume the galaxy buds2 were a bit better but I can’t say for sure.

I had problems on mine. Only one side works . They can't seem to sync together. I reset them then the right side doesn't work and then reset again then the left side doesn't work. So frustrating. So you have a solution to this problem?
Dang sorry to hear that! I traded in my blue pair for a white pair recently and never experienced anything like that with either pair. Are you able to trade it in or get it replaced? You very well might just have a defective pair.

One of my issues with AirPods Pro is the lack of bass. I never realized it until I purchased Sony XM5 headphones (not earbuds) and now it is really hard to enjoy AirPods anymore. Looking at these for the heavy bass, but is the bass nice and deep bass or cheap and bloated/muddy bass? Trying to figure out what to get to replace my AirPods Pro.
I can understand that! I'm not huge on bass but these definitely felt a bit more muddy bass compared to the JBL Live Pro 2. Those felt like it had better richer bass imo.

Good for small ears or too big?
Honestly might be big for small ears but they do have different ear tips that might help with the fit.
Getting audio delay in RUclips, Netflix, facebook everywhere, the smart video mode didn't help much, still there is delay, is it normal?
I hadn’t had that issue with mine, that video mode helped a lot when in used it. Might be internal glitch?

Not much. The app has an option for “Video Mode” which helps improve the latency, though pretty decent without turning that on.

They’re okay in controlled environments. But they won’t perform well in louder environments. Overall, not amazing Mics but too bad either.

Essentially it means a used product that has been inspected and tested to work by an Amazon qualified supplier.
Air pods are only good with apple products cause you get the full functionality of them just like galaxy buds with galaxy products. Can you use these earbuds individually?

Battery is great in my experience. They lasted longer than my first generation AirPods Pro did! 40 hours is certainly a stretch if you are using active noise canceling as well. So it is more like 32-35 hours I would say.

Though I haven't used the Sony Wh710. I can say that the ANC on the Tune 230 is good, but not sure it would compete well against over ear headphones. So I think I'd say the Sony's. Hope that's somewhat helpful

Connect to Bluetooth first then open the app and give it a few seconds. Sometimes it can take a little while

I’ve never tried the Sennheiser CX but my thought is that they will do better at the gym than these Tune 230s. I would suggest looking into the JBL Live Pro 2! Those are great in gym, I still use those semi regularly

Much more base heavy than AirPods Pro 2. but AirPods Pro 2 have better overall sound compared to these
I think some cases use matte instead of what airpods use because airpods can easily slip out your pocket when wearing joggers. ive literally lost a pair of airpods 3s this way 😂

Is JBL Tune 230NC TWS dual connectivity device?
Unfortunately not. As I shared in the video, that’s one of my biggest gripes about these earbuds. You’ll have to disconnect and reconnect to used them on several devices. Otherwise they are decent for their price point.
Hey Shola, just wanted to follow up I miss understood the meaning of dual connectivity. I thought you were refering to the ability that is better known as multi-point connection. I often mix the two up. That being said, these Tune 230NC do indead have dual connectivity. so you will be able to use each ear bud individually if you need to.

Anyone know if these earbuds fall out easily when working out and if they are actually resistant to sweat?
In my use I didn’t have much of an issue while weightlifting and playing basketball. But for a better seal you might benefit from foam ear tip replacements.

I got them from a third party from Amazon. They don’t have a hook but from my experience it is much better than silicon tips that they come with. They were pretty inexpensive too

If your still having issues, and you are able to get a refund or a replacement from JBL that's what I would suggest. They are usually pretty helpful with all of that.

I agree! I just think foam tips work better for me. It does the same thing of blocking out noise with a more secure fit for me.
Bass heavy doesn't sound good for me. Also, they seem bulky compared to galaxy buds 2. Especially if i am going to lay on my bed, these prevent me to lay on my side, although, I can remove the bud from that side. On the other hand, tune 230 is on sale for 40€, which seems nice, because it is quite likely I don't like in-ear headphones at all. Samsung buds 2 costs 80€, which is literally twice the price. Then there is also jabra elite 3 active for 80e and jabra elite 4 active for 90€. I think all of those are better then this, but waste of money if I don't like either of those. Annoyin that you cannot try these before you buy, but it is's obvious why that is not possible.
I definitely feel you in that! Everyone has different preferences but it’s hard to know what your preferences will actually be unless you try them all!

Totally disappointed with these JBL's. Got the first pair in the spring but after some 6 weeks the left one stopped charging in the box. Went back to the store and changed them under guarantee for a second pair. 6-8 weeks later....Same problem. No charging for the left one and no connection could be made through the app. So back again and got a third pair....You guessed it....Same problem...Now changed them for a pair of Sennheisers. Hope these people take making headphones more seriously. By the way, this seems to be a known issue with these headphones.

@@ardentlytech We had them exchanged for a pair of Sennheiser CX True wireless headphones. Pretty much the same price range and also with an excellent sound performance. The JBL's are great when it comes to quality for pricing but if they become unreliable every other month....Might be a batch of badly produced headphones or a firmware glitch of some kind but anyway...As long as customer service is ok nobody was lost overboard...Keep posting!

i bought a pair months ago and love them.. however the right earbud kept having low battery even after it being in a fully charged case for hours. found out that for some reason its usually not charging. if you push it in the light will come on. i thought it was defective and bought another pair (also as a spare).. same thing happens! really frustrating because i love these earbuds. wondering if anyone else has experienced this
Wow! That blows, a few people have mentioned here that they had a similar issue but most of them have also shared that after they got a replacement pair, they didn’t have the same issue. I wonder if there was a batch that was made that were affected with the same issue.

I found them uncomfortable to wear as they poked my inner ear when rotated to the proper position. The controls are also really arcane as tap 1, 2 or 3 times each can do 3 or 4 different tasks. Maybe you can remember all those, but i sure couldn't. JMO - Returning them and on to the Samsung Bud 2 Pro, so far liking them better. But should at $100 more.
