I'm really confused between One Plus Z2,Nothing ear 1 and JBL tune 230nc. Please make comparison videos. You've great content and I'll trust your advice.
Hi Mohammad, I think somu has got some good advice here. I wouldn't reccomend the OnePlus Buds Z2 for one major reason any more. A lot of viewers are going through the same issue I did which is a weird hissing in the earphones because of an ANC issue. When they ask for a replacement from Amazon, the second pair also ends up having the very same issue at times so why deal with that? I'd say it's between the Nothings and JBL which happen to be my next comparison video going live tomorrow. The JBL certainly has its advantages over the Nothing when it comes to its sound performance.

Good reviews paul, totally unbiased, could you suggest me best tws under 5k? I need best sound quality, bass. I don't care about call quality because its for movies and music. Keep doing these. U deserve more support and obviously more subscribers. Waiting for your reply
Of the few I've tested, I really liked the LG FP5, but I think they've increased the price of them off late to 8k plus. But on a sound front the certainly trump these 230NC. I do like these as well. They've been working well for me and I haven't faced any issues just yet with them. Have a look at the FP5 on different sites. A friend my mine got them for below 7k a few months ago and is loving them. Feel free to give that review a look as well.
Am surprised with your subscriber base. Should be far more. Keep doing what you do, crowd will mature. Every word you say is carefully scripted and honestly i listen to reviews while driving since the impact is more than the visual. You should consider podcasting too. This JBL sounds like something i will like to buy. How does it compare to the nothing's? I still use the oppo puck you had recommended and i still love it over the nothing's and my Bose sports (thr non ANC). I use the Bose when am out exercising but my go to is the oppo purely for the way the driver's are tuned, quick connection due to the bt5. Other features incouldnt care less for but then i like to collect buy all rounders and mid priced tech. Btw u seem like a person who i could share a drink with and talk in detail abt any thing tech.
Thanks man. I appreciate the positivity. Keeps me going. You're still using the W31? I really liked those but handed them over to my mum when she said she liked how they sound. Almost two years later she accidentally put them into the machine for a wash and one bud gave up the ghost. Some how the case and the other bud still work. My next video is going to be these vs the Nothings. Interested to see how they fare against one another. Are you using the bose sports I reviewed some time back? Always liked those.
@@PaulsPOV Yrs the oppos are super. Yes i still use the Bose. Thry work great outdoors and i don't carry the case and the left bud, i just carry the right one in thr pocket, battery lasts for abt 4 hrs so and go on standby extending the usage beyond 4 hrs. Grt for calls. For music it depends if u like Bose in general then yea. Works grt with half helmets and the fit is the best when i compare with nothing's or the airpod pro or even the Sony 1000.
Paul can you suggest me a pair of TWS with multipoint connectivity? Need one for work laptop and phone at the same time. Mid range as usual.... Type C is important.
The only ones I've tested with multi point pairing are the Realme Buds Air 3 and OnePlus Buds Z2. The Realme connects to two devices simultaneously where as the Z2 you have to press and hold a bud for it to jump over to the secondary device. Would not recommend the Realme if you need em for calls though. These JBLs and Nothings can connect to various devices but you'll need to go into the device you want it to connect to and select it in the BT settings. They only connect to a primary device. A bit of a head ache, yes, but I feel they sound better than the previous two Buds I mentioned.
@@PaulsPOV When i come of think it practically, i think switching manually suits my use case. All day on Teams calls, i wouldn't want it to switch automatically if i get a phone call.
Thank you! I'm wondering if you might consider adding one more criteria in your reviews - playback lag when watching videos. I've found some earbuds have almost no lag (like Nothing) and some have a lot of lag (like Soundcore Liberty Pro 3, which had so much lag they were impossible to use while watching something or playing games). Thanks!
I have a confusion between, one plus z2, jbl 230nc, samsung galaxy buds pro and realme air buds 3? Which should I buy? I hear songs, watch movies on TV and attend meetings on my laptop. These are my usages. ANC is important, call quality is important. Mic quality is important.
Have a look at my 6TWS comparison, all these earphones are there in the call quality demo chapter. It should give you a good idea about the call quality and mic. One thing to keep in mind, the JBL for some reason doesn't work with MS Teams. Z2 I would no reccomend because it's had some ANC hissing issues which a lot of people have been hit with and OP refuses go replace some units. The buds air 3, well, once you hear the call demo I think you'll know whether you like it or not. Hope this helps.
@@PaulsPOV booked realme buds air 3 bro. I hope it will do the needful. Multi device pairing, anc , service centre near me and budget. Thank you for the response bro.
Paul, thanks for the review, this helps. Could you please review the speakers that you use which are in your background or atleast give us the name ?? Thanks
Really amazed by detail review.. One question I wanted to ask I use iphone 12, is it a good buy for ios?? Is there any diff/variance is sound/clarity between ios/android?
No difference between the two. Worthwhile knowing that these won't work with MS Teams for some reason and they do have a very slow latency period compared to other earphones I've tested. So, big no for gaming. Okay ish for movie consumption, you get used to it.
I haven't yet tested the Wave Beam, so I wouldn't know which one trumps the other in certain aspects just yet. But I'm planning on reviewing the wave beam soon. The 230NC is a really nice sounding set of earphones though. I was surprised when I found myself preferring it to the sound of the Nothing Ear1 in one of my comparisons. It's a good performer for certain.
As much as u use the green screen I would say make a mini white background which would make ur video which r gud even better , like a white room kinda setup for close up shots
Hello you are always amazing with all the reviews really appreciate can you please tell me for Android use which ear buds has the best call quality mic thank you
Hi Jigar, thank you for your kind words. If you're looking for a good sounding set of earphones for your recipient, it can be a very subjective matter which is why I provide demo samples of calls in my indepth reviews or comparisons. Feel free to give them a look and compare them. I'm certain you'll find a set you like. Of all the ones I've reviewed, I find that any recipients find me sounding clearest with the Nothing Ear 1 and JBL Tune 230NC lately. The OnePlus Buds Z2 are also not bad but the Realme Buds Air 3 I wouldn't recommend to anyone considering how badly they do. In that segment, the Oppo Air 2 Pro do much better with calls. So I'd reccomend you listen to the demos I've provided to have a little more clarity. I hope they help you come to a conclusion. If you do have any more questions, please don't hesitate to ask.
@@PaulsPOV Thank you so much Paul will checkout because i have used Nothing ear 1 but i returned back due to firttick mic quality which i have faced in my case ,, so lets see friend,, but you really put great reviews 👍 keep it up
Great review. I'm looking for heavy bass sounds and wondering which one of these two would do the job. My budget is either for 230nc or Beats studio buds. I kind of like this one simply because I like to be aware of my surroundings so complete noise isolation would makes me feel unsettle. Appreciate any input. Thank you.
I havent tested the Beats studio so wouldn't want to comment on those. The 230NC do have a transparency mode so you're not always on ANC mode. It's upto you when you want to be in that mode. The 230NC is able to deliver more than adequate bass to my taste without being over exaggerated or obnoxious. I've been enjoying their sound but I would also reccomend giving the LG FP5 a look. It sounds terrific, it does deliver sound slightly better than the JBL, the only drawback being, it's ANC isn't as good as it will bleed in more noises than the JBL. Feel free to give my review on it a look. Hope it helps.

I was almost about to purchase the oppo one, but when I saw the JBL's sound performance described here, in this video(a few days back), i ordered the NC 230.
great review I didn't like the quality of the microphone sound in the call test. Is there a way to disable noise cancelling in calls, I think noise cancelling made the call sound quality worse?
Thanks for the review. You are one of the best out there. Very clear. Very simple. Very articulate. I have ordered Nothing Ear (1). To be delivered in some time. Should I stick to Nothing or switch to JBL? My priority is calling. Not much music. I like the looks of Nothing (I've ordered black) compared to JBL. Your views would be helpful. Thank you.
Thank you for your kind words Subramanya. I'd say they're very similar on their call front. I am working on a comparison between the two presently and their main differences will be with their sound and features. You could listen to the JBL call recording and Nothing call recordings that I have on their independent reviews and see which one you prefer for your recipient and decide for sure though. I think the latest Nothing recording I did should be on the video where I compare them with the Buds Z2 and Buds Air 3. I hope the samples help.
Hi Paul, I have two questions to ask. 1. If in case you are connected to laptop watching video or audio and at that time if you get call on your phone. Do you have to manually disconnect from laptop and again manually connect to phone to use this?. 2. How is there touch response?
Hi Bipul, to answer your questions accurately and briefly. 1 - manually disconnect from laptop and connect to your phone. (Chances are the calls cuts by the time you do that. & 2 - Great! There's no need to smack at the buds, gentle taps are recognized.
Nd how are they compared to the nothing's nd sony c500?? Soundwise nd battery life. Even the Sony's have 6 mm drivers but they sound like double the size.
I remember really liking the C500 for a first impressions video. Sadly I haven't had enough time with them for an indepth review so wouldn't be able to comment on them but I'm planning on comparing the JBL with the Nothings soon in a comparison review.
@Paul's POV i am planning to buy these TWS due to many reasons like ANC & fast charging but i do also want to how does this built-in assistant works ( this is not explain in any of the review videos over the YT ) i mean amazon as displayed it as built in alexa so ll it be work like alexa buds ?? These earphones support any Native voice assistant depending on which phone they're connected to. You do have the option to use Google Assitant or Amazon Alexa which you can enable from within the JBL app. Once any of these are enabled, it bypasses the native assistant on your phone to use the selected one. I personally don't use Voice Assistants so wouldn't be able to give you an indepth analysis of it but I hope this information helps.
Hello Paul, I've found your reviews to be very precise and straightforward but I have a very pressing question for which I don't seem to get a clear answer from other tech channels that I've come across. Does these have a latency while consuming video content (Not gaming just watching videos) on Android?
Yes. These do have a significant amount of lag when consuming video compared to the likes of the Nothings or LG FP5 that I've reviewed recently. Even when you put it onto its low latency mode. Since you've asked at the right time (I'm in the middle of recording a long term report) I'll try and include a demo of how they lag.
Can they be paired with Asus laptop to watch movies? Quite a few years ago I used ear buds to watch movie (on flights) and there was an issue with sound and lips moving. Drove me nuts ! Good thorough review Sir
These do tend to lag a bit more than other earphones, so if you're watching with VLC, you can adjust the delay as I do when consuming video from that app. With other apps you won't have that advantage.
Hi Paul nice Review, went through all your videos, for the microphone quality i narrowed it down to oppo enco air 2 pro, nothings ear 1 and jbl 230nc, could you do a only microphone quality for these three and ask the person on the receiving end of the call, out of these three which one had a crisper voice, would be helpful, as i have narrowed down to these three but this final verdict would let me finalise my decision. thank you
@@PaulsPOV so jbl it is, it sounds less robotic and much crisper, right? have you faced any issue on either buds as most of the reviews i went through on amazon or flipkart had been mentioning that their earphones arent working after a few days, did you face any issues?thanks for your perspective brother.
I've also had a few people tell me about their earphones going into a mono mode which they can't seem to come out of. I've not had any issues with my set yet. It's working well. These earphones are covered under a one year warranty which I'm sure JBL will honor. I've been on call with the customer support to find out info for my indeoth review and they seemed quite helpful.
Thanks Paul for your awesome reviews. Since these are very plasticky, are they comfortable or do they hurt the ears when worn for a considerable amount of time ? - there seems to be a lot of glitches with the Nothings but the sound and call clarity seems to be good. - oneplus budz z2 are too bassy, doesn't have more of a balanced and natural sound as I prefer I mostly watch videos and take a lot of calls. Have seen all your videos already but still unable to make up my mind on which ones to buy. need your help!
I'm going to do a comparison with these and the Nothings soon so not quite sure how these fair up against them. The plastic finish doesn't cause issues over linger listening sessions. I find these to be quite comfortable. I have had any glitches with these yet as I have with the Nothings. I'm with u on your take on the Z2, I find them way too bass happy as well. Not enjoyable in the long run, then again some people really enjoy that. For the time being if calls are a priority for you, you can check out the calls demos I've done for these and the Nothings. I will be doing the same on my comparison for the calls. When it comes to the sound, I have to sit with them for some time to figure them out.
@@PaulsPOV Some more queries w.r.t Nothings 1 - Is the oblong housing a little bigger than usual (can it be uncomfortable for longer sessions) 2 - delay in watching the videos (I think this should be non-negotiable in todays age of tech). I guess you do mention it one of your videos as well I wish JBL had included a quick switch feature like the buds z2 Eagerly waiting for your comparison of Nothings with these but with the glitches it seems there is a lot of compromise with Nothings. Deal breakers are hourly disconnections (would be really irritating while taking calls) and lag in video watching. Should I just order the JBLs ? Don't see any other option besides this in the same price range. OR is there ?
I havent had any discomfort with the Nothings over longer listening sessions and havent really heard of anyone having pain or discomfort with them. They're relatively small buds unlike the realme buds air 3 or oppo air 2 pro. Thise can be uncomfortable. Yes, the brief disconnect can be a pain for some people, I've learned to live with it because it's literally just a second or less of a cut off in an hour or two. The they way sound makes up for it. When it comes to their lag, the Nothings aren't too bad, they're on the quicker side than the JBL if im not mistaken. I'll know for sure when I do the back to back testing. I've not reviewed too many earphones but of the ones I have, my favorites right now are the JBL 230NC & Nothings in this price range.
@@PaulsPOV to be fair .. I lost one of the airpods..so I was using one side 😂.. I love the connivence of AirPods and the sound quality . But over a long time , they hurt my ears !
🤣 yea, listening to mono audio can get boring. I know what you're saying about them hurting your ears. I also found that design to hurt my ears as well. Enjoy your new earphones Ramencoke!
I got some I thought they were only decent to be honest. They fell out of my ear in the gym. I had to change the setting so they wouldn't turn off. The left one was charging all messed up I had to put a piece of cloth in the case to make it charge. The sound is not real loud. To be honest I would give them a 7 out of 10. Could be better could be worse to me. I ordered some more today by Stador they are straight 5 stars all the way through out of many reviews.

I havent tested the elite 3 so wouldn't want to give you any wrong information about it but if you used MS Teams, I've heard that the JBL 230 NC doesn't work with it for some reason.
Hi , i just bought jbl tune230 however the left earbud is not charging right out of the box. I contacted the shop they just tell me to clean the pin with alcohol. Feel really disappointed. Just want to know if others have also faced same issue.
Yes, I've had a few people mention this same issue with their 230NC. JBL should offer a replacement. Temporary fixes like this shouldn't be accepted. Have a look at Indias right to repair policies and show them to a service center. My unit hasn't had this issue yet. I did think this was an initial batch issue, but if your new set is doing this, it's a bigger problem.
Hello Mr Paul. I just bought this earpod today. Everything looks fine except during the call it seems that the receiver is hearing the background noises however I am keeping the ANC on. Can you please advice and help me with the settings ? Regards, Shaayer
The ENC on these does let in a little but of noise for sure, it's not as good as the Nothing Ear 1 ENC as you'll see in the comparison I've done between the two. Try switching off ANC when on a call and see if it improves at all for your recipient. Your voice should be carried over clearly even if there is some noise filtering through though. These have good mics.
Hi Paul. I don't care about the built quality I only care about the sound quality but I am still confused which one to choose for better audio quality jbl 230nc or jbl 130nc cause the 130nc one has the 10mm driver and I wonder it would be sounding better than the 230nc one. What's your opinion ?and if you can do the comparison video please do it faster cause I need to buy one of them within 2 weeks Bro. Also I listen to EDM tracks a lot 🙂. Thank you
Hi Hytham, I havent tested the 130NC yet but I have a comparison that's going live tomorrow between the 230NC and the Nothing Ear 1. The Nothing has a 11.6mm driver and the JBL 230 NC has a 6mm driver which is only almost half the size. From my experience, a larger driver size rarely equals better sound so considering the 130NC is a slightly more budget set of earphones, I think it's safe to say that JBL wouldn't make them sound better than the 230NC in fear of it cannibalizing the higher end model. Maybe give my video a look tomorrow to know how the 230NC stands up against the Nothing.

The JBL certainly has its advantages over the Nothing when it comes to its sound performance.

Absolutely. They sound awesome. That trumps every other flaw they might have. Long term there is no listening fatigue.
Very detailed and technical oriented review. Can you review the new Nothing CMF Buds 2500Rs one?
Excellent review. Many many thanks.

Thanks to your review I have finally chosen which jbl wireless ear buds to choose . I have ordered yesterday and good price. Thanks again

waiting for ur comparison video on jbl tune230 and nothing ear 1? both are in same price segment. i hold my purchase for your review sir.
Thanks!
Really enjoyable....

Brother do make the comparison video between the JBL 230 NC's and the Nothing Ear 1's asap!
Them folks hangin' in my cart since a week🤣
🤣🤣 Working on it Kevin. It should go live latest by Friday.

Amazing video! I would like to ask which one is better - JBL 230 NC or JBL Wave Beam ? Thank you 😊
I haven't yet tested the Wave Beam, so I wouldn't know which one trumps the other in certain aspects just yet. But I'm planning on reviewing the wave beam soon.
The 230NC is a really nice sounding set of earphones though. I was surprised when I found myself preferring it to the sound of the Nothing Ear1 in one of my comparisons. It's a good performer for certain.
Thank You very very much for the fast answer! Good luck✨️🤩
@@PaulsPOV Thank you so much Paul will checkout because i have used Nothing ear 1 but i returned back due to firttick mic quality which i have faced in my case ,, so lets see friend,, but you really put great reviews 👍 keep it up
Which color would you prefer?? Black or white??
@@PaulsPOV thank you! I will check out the review and take a look at LG.

Woah.. the mic quality is impressive . Is it really that good ??
great review
I didn't like the quality of the microphone sound in the call test. Is there a way to disable noise cancelling in calls, I think noise cancelling made the call sound quality worse?
The environmental noise canceling can't be turned off as far as I know. I think it stays on whenever you're on call.
@@PaulsPOV thank you Paul. I liked call quality of both. But will stick to Nothing black for the looks . Thanks a lot.
Hi Paul,
I have two questions to ask.
&
2 - Great!
Please compare Nothing ear(1)

These earphones support any Native voice assistant depending on which phone they're connected to. You do have the option to use Google Assitant or Amazon Alexa which you can enable from within the JBL app. Once any of these are enabled, it bypasses the native assistant on your phone to use the selected one. I personally don't use Voice Assistants so wouldn't be able to give you an indepth analysis of it but I hope this information helps.
Hello Paul,
I've found your reviews to be very precise and straightforward but I have a very pressing question for which I don't seem to get a clear answer from other tech channels that I've come across.
Thanks Paul.
I have these purchased in Nov 22 from Croma...Minimal use, Wish to sell it for 3k with original bill, box & accessories.
I really like your glasses, where are they from ?
🤣 thank you. I got them from Lenscart I think.

You mean the lg fp5?! If it is, then a big yes. I too am waiting for its complete in-depth review.
I just put up a poll to see if I should go ahead with this review. Feel free to go and vote towards or against it.
Hi Paul nice Review, went through all your videos, for the microphone quality i narrowed it down to oppo enco air 2 pro, nothings ear 1 and jbl 230nc, could you do a only microphone quality for these three and ask the person on the receiving end of the call, out of these three which one had a crisper voice, would be helpful, as i have narrowed down to these three but this final verdict would let me finalise my decision. thank you
The call demos showcase exactly that. You're the recipient on the demos. Most folk I've spoken to find the JBLs to be the clearest tone of voice.

- oneplus budz z2 are too bassy, doesn't have more of a balanced and natural sound as I prefer
I mostly watch videos and take a lot of calls.
@@PaulsPOV Some more queries w.r.t Nothings
1 - Is the oblong housing a little bigger than usual (can it be uncomfortable for longer sessions)
2 - delay in watching the videos (I think this should be non-negotiable in todays age of tech). I guess you do mention it one of your videos as well
I wish JBL had included a quick switch feature like the buds z2
Eagerly waiting for your comparison of Nothings with these but with the glitches it seems there is a lot of compromise with Nothings.

Jabra elite 3 or 230nc for calling purpose via laptop?
I have purchased this, where can i get the cover for this case
what do u mean they have no wireless charging ...you mean case has no wireless charging ?
Hello Mr Paul. I just bought this earpod today. Everything looks fine except during the call it seems that the receiver is hearing the background noises however I am keeping the ANC on. Can you please advice and help me with the settings ?
Regards,
Shaayer
