Why does this fam look like a real south African family 😂
I totally agree
With a weird accent, right?
Omg rhey actually look like a sa family yesas
What?
They look dutch 😂👌
Funny story, Simba Chips existed long before the Lion King
They go back to at least the 1950s here ... maybe earlier even. As far as I recall, it was one of the first national brands in South Africa... along with Omo, SAB, Edgar’s
Dont talk kak
Funny story the Lion King script was stolen by Disney from a manga (Japanese Comic) written by Osamu Tezuka and also the Salt and Viniger and Fruit Chutney Simba are the best.
True. But Simba means Lion in Swahili(Kenyan Language), so it makes sense why the brand is Simba and why there's Simba in the Lion King
I didn't know that, I thought they were inspired by Lion king
Crazy thing you guys look like a Broer family
Boer
You are allowed to say BOER family bra...no offence. Proud to be white and a BOER. Afrikaners are different. They are a bunch of twats....Now....yes they do resemble a boer family except for one thing...Only us Boer ooms and tannies are 'n bit big, but Boer kids play rugby and cricket and run around outside with their little black mates, so they will not be as unhealthy as seen...hmmm in the States. ;)
Lol especially the Dad. Well the whole family is so afrikaner
boere family, haha
loooool
Generally South African food and snacks are good. Our good weather allows us to grow lots of different and awesome food🙌
We are so blessed 🙏🏾
I am south african and i agree
The simba chips are just salty there is no spice
@slanky hits 😂😂😂
I don't care I love my food
Here you only see all my South Africans in the comments 😂😂 they need to try a crunchie
Oooo yea.... Crunchie is my favourite

You NEED to try Stoney ginger beer, speckled eggs, ghost pops, p.s. chocolate, biltong, zoo bicuits, nik naks, lunch bar, twist (granadilla/lemon), sweet chilli doritos, and rooibos tea with biscuits i.e rusks, tennis, marie
I agree
I agree
Definitely tea, speckled eggs, ps, doritos and cruchie
Ya
For sure Ghost pops
Anybody remember "appelkosies", the round orange sweets? Nowadays also available in blue, pink and yellow. At 58 I still often buy them from the Pakistani cafe near my house!
True South African
Like liked the red go fire ball instead of those
You can buy them at any big retail store as well
The kid in the middle was gonna be JP if he was South African.
True 😂😂😂😂
Dead😂😂
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
😂😂😂
AJ the one in the middle 😂
Frankly, I can't imagine a snack pack from South Africa without, biltong (dried meat), droë wors, Safari dried fruit, Mixed nuts and seeds selection, Liquorice All Sorts sweets, nougat, peanuts and raisins, peanut clusters, rusks, and the occasional pork crackling.
Ja nee kyk dis alles die WET hier. !
Fizzers, how did none of you guys think of fizzers!!!
🔥🔥🔥
And chomp 😂
My ultimate favorite!!! To bad I have braces ☹
i love fizzers!!
Are they even still around? Can't remember when last I saw fizzers
Have no idea how I got here but so happy to see a family loving our snacks. Those are just the starters... We have even better😁😎
Glad y'all enjoyed.
Greetings from South Africa 🐗🦓🐘🦒🐾🦁🦛🐃
OHHH MY GOSSSSHHH!! I died when the dad tried to sing the lion king song " nnnnaaaaaaanzi' ngwenyama bakithi mabo" obviously creating his own words!!! thumbs up for effort, thanx for this vid guys!!
Those are the arent the real words? i thought i did pretty good
@@TheNoodleBowl I am Afrikaans and was teaching Xhosa kids. To the trained ear you might think you got it right, but to the native ear there’s quite a difference. Jus like any unfamiliar language.
I laughed so hard
As a south african, i can smell those thrue the screen
Love all y'all South African Comments supporting your brands, Am from Namibia, where all those snaks are daily's, so I can really relate with y'all, Enjoyed the Video, appreciated the ratings.!
I predicted those Wilson's toffees were gonna be as hard as they always are, before they tried it🤣
Those things break your teeth nothing soft about them
It's like those ouma face sweeties they use to sell at school tuckshops. The older the tannie on the sweetie, the harder they are, but you did get some nice soft ones.
I wanted to warn them so bad so they don't just throw them in front of the camera they always make me drool uncontrollable with my teeth glue together it become so hard its like my mouth opens and close in slow motion
I didn't think there will be so much stuff inside that box.
It was like a magic box
Some times they are a Dark Magic box.
dude!!! I need that box in my life
@@sisandamrali9080 to keep your coins?
So the Dad looks like he could be named Wikus, Mom will be Chantelle, and the kids look like, Marko, Charl and Wian XD
Lol! they actually looked like a South Afrian Family! no kidding!
Lol, yeah... for real😅😅
Is the person who packaged that box even South African cause I would choose completely different things that are more iconic to S.A.
Appetizer, Rooibos tea, biltong...
Yea! they left out biltong!!!
Thank you guys for trying our country snacks totally awesome of you guys
I know its a year old but I loved this video. Was actually snacking on lays Caribbean while watching 😂. And my fellow south africas are correct, you guys look like a south african afrikaans family. You should definitely come and try our food here. I reckon its the best in the world. Great video. All the best x
Thank you for your kind words, we hope to someday come for a visit!
Im curious what did you guys do with champion toffees coz we usually gotta take breaks between eating them
These kids look well disciplined.
Sitting in the Czech Republic drooloing for all of these snacks from home!
Why do they(in general) forget biltong when tasting SA snacks...i mean come on.. Jerky is crap
I like the shy boy.. Lol I can relate
You should try Chuckles (red packet), peppermint crisp, nik naks, beef or kudu biltong (orignal flavour), crunchie, beacon dark chocolate, cadbury white chocolate, choc crust biscuits, sally william cranberry and almond nougat and so much more.
devinity The Crunchie Chocolate bar 🍫 from Cadbury is actually not from South Africa 🇿🇦, but The Crunchie Chocolate bar 🍫 from Cadbury is actually and original from The UK Great Britain 🇬🇧,/ Uxbridge, London, England 🏴 my friend 🙂😎✌️
Top deck is my favorite.. I'm from South Africa
Love Peppermint crisp though!
We always take Mexican chilli chips to braais (barbaque) so that the adults could at least get some chips because the kids used to just polish off any other ones. They find them too spicy hence "childproof chips". 😂
I’m from South Africa 🇿🇦 I live in Cape Town. I’m glad you guys loved all the treats. It’s always fascinating to me how foreigners react to treats I grew up with. Beautiful family...lotsa love from RSA❤️🇿🇦🔥
Im convinced this is an afrikaaner family, even the plate looks South African
I’m South African and I’m so sad you guys didn’t get any drinks. Our granadilla twist is really nice, as well as Stoney. And then I would recommend you try the chutney simba, chili beef biltong slices and parper bites ☺️
The toffees are called wilson blocks and come in a variety of flavors, there's a milk flavour that's really good.
So impressed you guys you knew how to eat the wilson block
Hi there, from South Africa....good video. You guys need to try Ouma rusks, buttermilk flavor, just love it! But please, please, not like the rest of the world, without coffee or tea, as they somehow don't know that rusks need to be dunked for a while to get it nice and soft. Then there is Koeksisters, Milktart, Chutney, Boerewors, Biltong, Chakalaka.....
Im from nz and have tried those
@@lukinjames1379 hope you liked it?
In NZ and my chakalaka is a staple at all our barbecues
Reading you comment just makes me hungry 😋😋🤤
From South Africa, try: Biltong, flings and drywors!!
🇿🇦🇿🇦🇿🇦🇿🇦 Proudly South African.
I really enjoyed watching this video with so many bad things happening in our country it's good to see that there is something good people enjoy about South Africa ❤️

You guys are a beautiful family!!!
"Please send more" fantastic family put a smile pon my face
And you get different flavours of the Sally Williams bar there is a fruit flavour one that's amazing
Boerewors! is South Africa no1 sausage. also, Biltong (beef jerky) but spiced and cured differently. Both are S.A staples
You have to have these to truly experience South Africa
1. Biltong is a must, "KoekSisters" however are 50/50 it is basically a type of puff pastry baked in syrup, which gets absorbed into the pastry, you may like if you really like sweet stuff. 2. "MilkTart (2ways) 2.1 is a desert with cinnamon powder dusted on top. 2.2 As a shooter drink, mix 1xBottle Red Smirnoff vodka with 3x tins of condensed milk and 4x tins of evaporated milk and shake it all together in a big enough bottle. Pour into shot glasses and sprinkle cinnamon dust on top -Yummy-. 3. Mama's Pies, it is a frozen puff pastry with a meat filling that you bake and then eat (Pepper Steak is my fav), if you have a good gravy sauce, pour over the top just before eating, it finishes it off quite nicely. Those are my top 3
koeksisters are not puff pastry
Nazlie Galer Agreed, and they are also not baked in syrup. They are dunked in syrup, after frying.
Watching this, reminded me of Nickerballs and Sugus as a kid.
Don't get the real Nickerballs anymore, but will try to get some Sugus.
Oh my word! Sugus! I loved those!!! The blue ones were my favourite.
Love how all us South Africans think the same thing about the family actually being from SA 😂 😂 😂
You need to try OUMA rusks!
Wow why didnt the snack crate come with stoney biltong and Fizzers 😅😅
Thanks for rating them
GHOST POPS !!! The absolute-best - whoever packed the box probably couldn’t resist and ate them 😊
Try the biltong! Far superior to beef jerky! King of snacks!!
This family looks so South African 😂😍😍 !
Definitely have to try Biltong and Droewors!!
Biltong, dry wors/ karbanossie and koeksisters. I make my own koeksisters since I've been living in the UK. Love them 2 bits
Loved the reactions of the family after every snack...you should try Cabanossi (it's nearly like droe wors) the snacks in South Africa is delicious!
You'd swear they live in Roodepoort
Malay Koesiesters dipped in syrup and rolled in dedicated coconut (confectionery that is not as syrupy-sweet as Boere Koeksisters).
For years I use to hang out with Americans who worked in South Africa and they loved the food, especially the Steers burger and biltong. They would help us make tacos and quick bake American brownies or supply us with Root Beer concentrate. Thank you for the great reviews.
Noodle Dad lived in Jamaica for a few years. He loved to pass out cans of root beer to the Jamaicans, their reaction where priceless.
You need to try, Koeksisters, Crunchies, Nik Nacks, Biltong, Droe Wors, Tennis Biscuits, Ouma Rusks (Dunk it in Coffee, Tea or Hot Chocolate).
Great video!! love from sweden!!
Simba braai chips (the purple pack), tennis biscuits, jelly babies. We love our snacks and so many available. Try biltong too! Special challenge just for DAD: Ghost pepper chip!

Hi there you guys im from south africa and you have to try Koedoe or Ostrich biltong for savory and Koeksisters (like the old boere ladys make not ones from bakery) . Loved your video.
You guys have to try : Simba Chutney flavored chips, Cadbury PS caramilk chocolate, flings (chips), biltong (its like jerky but much better), Zoo Biscuits, fizzers.
Peppermint crisp bar is the best! Try it
Ouma Rusks (Buttermilk flavour) and Ouma Rusks (Muesli flavour). But you must dunk it in coffee or tea for a few SECONDS before eating.

I like salami sticks. It is mostly pork. It should be available in the US, but I can't see it on the internet. Difficult to find is licorice/liquorice coated with chocolate, and soft dried banana coated with yogurt icing.
You guys would love south Africa .. our culture is amazing and our good is one of a kind . There is just to much to try to name it right now
You have to try the spring onion lays (dark green packet?), Ps chocolate and fritos BBQ and tomato! The best!
Try Rolos. And Nuttikrust cookies. And Iced Zoo. Mrs Balls chutney as a condiment.
agreed
I am a South African. You must try Ouma rusks and have them with tea or coffee. Also Biltong is a must. Try our Simba tomato flavor and fruit and chutney Simba. Also try our pepermint crisp chocolate bar.
Try a samoosa...
You will go from "Hey man" to "Hos ma se kin" in no time
Biltong, Droewors, Nik-Nax, Fizzers and Smarties also Simba fruit chutney is the lines best seller.
I’m from SA and i definitely recommend biltong!
Not sure if you have them there but Bakers Blue Label Marie Biscuits. Most Defiantly Biltong and Droewors.
South Africans love everything in fruit chutney flavor. Simba fruit chutney chips are the best and bacon mini cheaders.
