Is it just me, or does it seem more like strong field curvature that makes the corners appear as if the corner sharpness is actually not as bad as it seems? I tried watching back at .25 speed, and it seems like the corners are slightly sharper when the center is out of focus. Do you see that in the original files? I can't go frame by frame on youtube.
Great info. I just bought a Leica S007, and I’m looking for a classic portrait lens. Do you know how I can pair up a Cooke? I was looking at the PS90 for my 4x5, but if I could put a Cooke portrait lens on that S007, I think it could yield me a beautiful image. And much more portable. Thanks.
