Hi Paul, I do not quite understand what this device give you from a production point of view. With vertigo vsm 2 and Neve MBT + the BlackBox and now the Audiotales Eq's you have so much color options in your arsenal already. Will this eq replace the Blackbox? Cause I dismissd it as well as it doesnt gave me the flexibility you talked before. By judging the saturation part only this Eq looks also for me like a pimped VSM2 FET/Zener Saturation but now with transistors instead of tubes/zeners. :-)
Yes I said in the video it is replacing my blackbox. I explained the limitations the blackbox has and the reason behind building this is to give me everything I wanted from the blackbox

Sounds incredible. It’s what I thought the cranbourne audio he2 did. But it doesn’t. Imagine that. A colour box in mid side with Q? That’s your next collaboration. I’ve just paid for a black box. So a bit disappointed that you said it’s limited. Still waiting to hear about the audiotales eq. Thanks again for the videos. Helps a lot. No high end shops here in Bristol. 6 music universities and colleges. Massive amounts of artists. But no high end audio production shops?
The blackbox is still brilliant and has a purpose. I just designed this one to everything I wished the blackbox could do. The blackbox is half the price. We originally wanted frequency and q on each band, but there turned out to be too much possibility of the parallel functionality conflicting each other. I have little to no knowledge on building equipment. I literally said I want this this and this and chris told me what was possible and how best to do it. Hendy Amps were incredible the whole process. Took an idea and made it a reality.
I’m thinking you need to get together with bettermaker and Wes Audio and collaborate with either of them to make a colour box with plugin control and all the stuff I said before. Mid side, q and eq. Full digital recall. Sorted 😮

Should be here in a few of weeks. Soon as it arrives I'll be create some content to show off its capabilities.

@braxal6983 I'm counting on Cranborne bringing it over before launch. Otherwise, mine will arrive on launch day. I've ordered mine going off the fact that the 500 series version is brilliant and this version only improves on what was already great. That's why for me, it was a nobrainer.
@CT-ho6si same location. We have studio A (Nicks mastering studio) studio B (my studio for mixing and master) and studio C will be a smaller room for podcast editing/mastering and act as a recording booth too for our sample packs and vst instruments we make.

@bakerlefdaoui6801 I'm more than happy to review a plugin that is requested by users, but me knowing I'm getting this unit for some time now meant I wanted to hold off. So that I could compare it to the hardware. Maybe a michelangelo xl plugin could come. Who knows 🤷♂️
@infojunkie4989 the plugin has a similar feature where it has saturation but rather than it being mosfet it is tube. There's a possibility the plugin could add this feature I guess. The plugin is brilliant as it expands on the brilliance of the original michelangelo in a really good way.

Thank you. I have the ideas, but the actual build is so far beyond me to actually build it. I'm going to 100% look at building more after this one.
