    can you explained mechanic of rift slip skill

    • @L00k0ut
      @L00k0ut  Год назад +27

      @bankchill1806 So, Rift Slip lets you cancel out of any ability, a lot like you can cancel out of anything with a limit break. If you use Rift Slip during the animation of any ability it will speed up the cool down of rift slip. So, if it is used during the end animation of an ultimate it triggers the cool down reduction of Rift Slip, making it available again faster. Rift Slip also slows down time slightly, and anything in its area is slowed down, so if you cast Cold Snap straight after a Rift Slip it extends the cold snap freeze(not a lot, just enough for it to be of benefit in this strategy). Effectively this setup abuses the long animations, and stagger slow downs/pauses, of Ultimate abilities. You cast an ultimate, during the end of its animation you Rift Slip(triggering faster CD), then Cold Snap(freezes stagger bar), then onto the next ultimate ability. The idea being that you have slowed the stagger enough to get some of the ultimate abilities back up during the stagger!

      No problem. I should point out that I saw this technique used on another YT video. The link for it is in the description.

      No problem. The first video I saw of it was not in English. So I thought I would make a video to help others understand the strategy. 👍

    and here i was thinking i had accomplished something because i managed to push the stagger damage over 100k in the final battle (in the arcade mode) with the use of two lvl 5 zantetsukens and some other abilities lol.
    if i read correctly below, cold snap freezes the stagger gauge?!? i like to use shiva because i think the well timed dodge that freezes the opponent is cool (no pun intended) and i like that the cooldown on the abilities is so quick, but i hadn't even noticed it freezes the gauge (my pride in attention to detail just too a hit).
    and thanks for the insights on rift slip... i KNEW this ability was awesome somehow, but i couldn't figure out how to properly use it lol

      Yeah, cold snap freezes the stagger gauge, but not for long. You want to line up some ultimate abilities that also cause a time stop during cast. Things like Diamond Dust, Flames of Rebirth, Judgement Bolt, Dancing Steel(Gigaflare does not completely stop the stagger, it slows it down a lot though). Then juggle between Rift Slip/Cold Snap and ultimates. This setup becomes a lot better when you get further through NG+. Some of the +CD reduction accessories that you can craft at the blacksmith help a lot.

    Damn you let out everything before he even fell down 😂
    I was using diamond dust to activate stagger and the second hit ramped up the multiplier. But I see I was wrong, I gotta milk that permafrost!

      Diamond Dust is a great ability to melt the will bar. I frequently use it alongside Impulse. The two together can remove 3/4 of a boss will bar! In this setup, its utility comes from the damage and the time stop feature that all the Eikon ultimates have. If you add judgment bolt into this setup it could go on for longer.

    How do you activate Zantetsuken as soon as you draw odin’s sword? I end up pressing square and it takes me another square press before it activates.

      One of the great things about this game is that it lets you buffer inputs while doing other things. You can charge magic while attacking etc.. Zantetsuken requires you to press and hold attack for a set amount of time. You can start pressing and holding attack to prepare Zan while you are waiting for other abilities to finish. You have to be on Odin, and be holding attack to prepare Zan. Then as soon as you Unsheathe you release the attack button.

    Looks a bit tricky

      It’s not too bad, after you’ve done it a few times. It is effectively the same thing over and over again. After you have triggered all of the ultimate skills, you keep an eye on which cooldowns are about to come back up.
