Yeah, the damage can get insane. This video was made during my first playthrough on release. I didn’t have Genji gloves at that time. I wanted to record a video as an example of timing for each Trinity step. I added a few buffs into the video, other wise it was just me repeatedly doing the same thing! 🤣

@@Silver-Cookie it does have similarities to Sekiro. All normal melee enemy attacks can be parried, any attacks that cannot be parried are marked on screen with a coloured flash. Depending on the color you take different action. I will say, the parry timing feels different to Sekiro. You have to press the block button early by comparison to Sekiro. Once you get used to it, it’s fine.

@@L00k0ut Oh believe me I know. I have 300+ hours in Stellar Blade already. Trying to do my hard boss rush on bare minimum stats and it's a pain. The only thing I was comparing to Sekiro here was the cling and clang :). Those parry sounds are mint.

@@Silver-Cookie 300+ hours is very impressive. It is a great game, and I’m glad so many people are getting hundreds of hours of enjoyment from it. The devs are really committed to it as well, which is great to see. The frequent updates and the boss challenge addition. I love this studio. Cant wait for more!

Both have their uses. Blizzara gives a big increase to the pressure gauge if it hits when he is pressured, but the timing to fire it off and land during his pressured state is tight. Fire+Synergy on Aerith can also contribute to the pressure. And also contribute to the damage during stagger, just make sure Aerith’s magic attack is as high as you can get it.

@@L00k0ut ok i was able to stagger him , but his hp was still at half, after his shift, i couldnt do anything , what should i do from there?

@@ma3oony If you don't have enough damage to get his HP lower, then it might be better to use the other method, blizzaga stunlock. He moves so slowly with the gun in phase 2. If you fire off multiple blizzaga's on an arcane ward it will stagger him again almost immediately.

@@L00k0ut ok wahts the use of fury ring if it's on his immunity list? , right now im able to minimize his hp but in gun stage it's all crisis because of his orb or catching me with weapon , idk why cant build up great damage as im already in high status

@ma3oony The fury ring puts berserk status on the wearer. So you take 30% more damage and apply 30% more damage.

I found it easiest to always be running away from him, with him in the distance, so that I can see the stab incoming. It took a lot of practice to get the timing right. Keep trying, you’ll get there. 👍

I don’t necessarily think it was difficult, especially if some ground work has been done to get levels etc.. I was testing things out to see how fast he could be beaten.

@@L00k0ut Oh so, you should (if intrested) try a 255 attack with high jump, Assault Twister+ and genji glove, its 99999 per hit or close to it (ar at least works with minerva, so i guess can work on Sephiroth too)

As Weiss approaches dodge towards him and Tifa will vault over. This is a special move that both Cloud and Tifa can do against select enemies. Weiss is one of them, the other is Reno.

@@williamwen3477 The stab vault? It definitely takes practice. Weiss moves very fast. If you can keep him in the background, rather than off screen, you will get a clear view of him. I found it easiest this way.

It is a great ability. No doubt it decimated Titan!

You can build Tifa for magic, but she is heavily biased towards physical attack. But, if you absolutely wanted to do it, you will want to equip her highest magic attack weapon, then do the same thing that you would do with any other magic user, give her the Magic Up materia, link magic focus materia to your chosen green materia. Make sure she has Faith cast on her before she casts any offensive spells. Remember that Starshower buffs the next immediate ability cast by around 60%. So, United Refocus can give her 3 atb bars. Cast Starshower(1 atb), then immediately afterwards cast an aga spell(2 atb). It’s probably also worth testing this with the ra spells(you will only need 2 atb bars for this). If the damage numbers are low, boost her a bit more with an accessory(fury ring for example). I’m not sure what damage numbers you will see with this. Equip the Genji gloves if she is easily reaching 9999 damage without the fury ring. Important to note that I have not tested this in Rebirth. In Remake, Starshower will buff her next ability/spell. I know it buffs her abilities in Rebirth, but I have not tested her spells. The other thing you could try is the ATK<>MATK materia. But from what I have been told, this removes a set amount of points from strength, and puts them into magic. So you could build her for physical damage, then slot ATK<>MATK onto her(I have not tested this). Maybe worth a try though. Have fun!

To answer your power cleave question, I believe this attack scales off strength, and the numbers for this are a combination of the two characters casting the synergy skill. So maxing out Cloud and Tifa’s attack/strength should yield the highest numbers. Enhanced Camaraderie Earrings will boost synergy skills/abilities by 20%. Fury Ring will boost by around 30%(it used to be 30% in Remake, I assume this number is the same in Rebirth!). And Bravery should also boost the damage.

Yep. It is Hard Mode. It only works if he starts off as Yin Awakens. It won’t work with Yang Awakens. Also, your Firaga needs to pressure him to trigger Yang Takes Aim. Make sure Cait has a high matk weapon. Maybe give him magic up as well. Boost his magic attack. Also, check that he hasn’t swapped over to Yang Awakens at the point that you cast Firaga. If he is in Yang form he will be resistant to magic and will not pressure.

The magic attack needs to be high enough to pressure Yang otherwise it won't work - mine was 371 and killed them in less than 20 seconds

It does not appear to add any extra damage to the hits or change the ability in any way.

There's a passive in the folios that gives you increase damage for each chi level. I think it's five then ten percent increase.

@@L00k0ut wow. I don't know how you were able to land so many hits on him because whenever I started hitting him, he would counter and hit back after 3-4 strikes. I was constantly on punisher mode to counter back

@araara4717 Try atb abilities like disorder etc… Also, he would counter more, but Aerith is hitting him with his weakness, aero.

Yeah. You have the visual cue if you watch Tifa, also the UI name changes for the square button. But I found this very difficult to use. Much easier to watch Tifa for the timing.

If you stagger before the Enshadow animation, there is a HP gate at around 1/3 health. This will prevent you finishing the fight during the stagger. If you let the Enshadow animation play then stagger, you can kill it during the stagger.

I haven't had a chance to test Yuffie's. I'm not sold on the compass, when I tested it I had to cast 5 different abilities to trigger it, which seems like a lot. I think I'd prefer going for United Refocus to get the 3 ATB. Aerith's Transcendence and Cloud's Aerial Onslaught are also very good. I have not been able to play the game for a while. When I get back to it I'll do some more testing.

I have a feeling if the move is that strong anyway you’ll want to have the Gengi gloves on to make use of it.. in which case you have only the reunited focus as an option to use it. I might try to find a fight that is long enough to get my reunited focus up consistently, but easy enough to consistently test the damage output of yuffies move.. perhaps Gilgamesh on normal difficulty.. has enough hp to get a reunited focus off.. and shouldn’t be too much of a pain to damage test him.

Yeah, you definitely have to pick your moment to cast it. I try not to use it against the more aggressive enemies.

@@L00k0ut oh I see. Prolly bc I didn’t do hard versions of mini games. A lot of the mini games are annoying as opposed to fun so I just did the base game and never looked back lol

@justinhumphrey4177 I think the latest patch introduced difficulty options for some of the mini games. Fort Condor, Gears and Gambits etc… You can reset the folio tree if you decide you want to take a different upgrade path. But if you still don’t have enough points you will need more of Tifa’s manuscripts.

Are you sure you've done almost everything in the game? Lol i remember the moment i got to the team level prior to it unlocking noticing all the characters had a super move that are considered to be weapon abilities and therefore could be used the moment they were unlocked without needing to gain proficiency of anything like that. Made me rush like crazy to up my team level so i could try out each of the moves.

@@Naitorade yea. Only side thing I never did was shine a middle manager mini game high score quest. I maxed every region, did every other quest and was sitting at party level 8. I got trinity strike for tifa last night just doing basic leveling of characters. I need to hit 70 or so anyway bc I’m going into hard mode soon

Cloud's true personality is such a cinnamon roll. I'm sure he'd do more than that for Mrs. Strife.

I have not yet done any Genji gloves testing with Trinity Strike. Based on typical stagger duration I would say the combination of moves you have listed might require a Stop cast. If you can get Cait Sith in your party he can raise the stagger multiplier with Moogle Knuckle as well. I imagine the damage will be very high.

@@Enwickote Oh that just means that the level gap is too large. Just find a mid level mob that you find easy to deal with/read. I Prefer the slow ones. Simple¯⁠\⁠_⁠(⁠ツ⁠)⁠_⁠/⁠¯ Tip: Keep Barret and Aerith with you so you can get both dmg discount and healing for blunders while practicing.

Worth testing I’d say. You get the skill from the folio, but I believe it is considered a weapon skill. Good idea, worth trying.

YinYang can start the fight in either Yin form(physical attacks) or Yang form(magical attacks). If it starts in Yin form it will have a weakness to fire. If you hit it with a Firaga, it gets pressured and forces the move “Yang Takes Aim” which is a self destruct kick AOE that will do massive damage to Cait, but also leave itself with 1hp. Because Cait has Reprieve, he can survive this with 1hp, and then attack YinYang to kill it.

And you cant even see the second indicator clearly, due to too much flashyness. Thats the part that keeps me missing it.

@@supervegito2277 I think it is one of those moves that you will occasionally miss. I know I do! The only thing I can suggest is to find a place out in the open to practice first so that you have clear visibility of Tifa. After you know the move well enough find a location like the one in the video. It has a few enemies to hit(the good thing with Trinity Strike is the next move will track to a new enemy if one of them dies). Then repeatedly practice it. Try to choose somewhere that will make it slightly difficult to see, that way you will get used to the timing even if Tifa is not visible. 👍

@@L00k0ut I had a bit more luck with it, after realizing that the second push is just after the final air kick.

Easiest way to get the timing is first press as she lands after the first attack and second press after the 3 air kicks.

@@supervegito2277 Some people said looking at the Attack command at the bottom left corner works well. Press square when "Attack" changes to "Trinity Strike"

Yeah Trinity Strike is very good. Glad to hear you are enjoying it. I definitely recommend ATB Boost. If you give a character First Strike and ATB Boost they can start a fight with 2 ATB. There is also a few accessories that give ATB at the start of a fight. ATB Boost at max level has a cool-down of 60 seconds. It is very good. 👍

This is great advice Kaylee. P1 is very important. Learning his moves and knowing how to navigate around him, and when to strike, are key.

After triggering the skill you have to be watching for the moments in Tifa's animation where a diamond shape appears around her. At that moment you press the attack button once and she will move on to the next part of the skill. So, you trigger the skill for the first hit, press attack on the first diamond for the second hit, press attack on the second diamond for the last hit. Don't mash the button. You have to time the button presses with the visual cues.

@@Diandredofus That's a good point. If the camera positioning means you can't see Tifa, this might be the best way to time it. 👍

Hi, I don't think I changed anything. I haven't seen any options to change the UI colors. Maybe something happened to the color range during capture, so it looks a bit different.
