I sailed on this ship in February 2022. Really loved this ship and the stateroom. In December, I’m sailing for two weeks plus on HAL’s oldest ship (currently): the Zaandam. Looking forward to it!

Very nice cabin for Holland America, and you filmed it well (as you always do). The last time we cruised on HAL was in 2007 and it was the last time on Holland America because the Zuiderdam (a Vista class ship) had a toilet seat that was so uncomfortably designed, that I felt like I was going to fall into the water!. So I swore off all future HAL cruises. This may be a big ask, but could you film the toilet seat OPEN in the future? How about a video comparing the most essential facility in each cabin bathroom across cruise lines? So many newer cruise ships look like the toilet (with the seat closed) is of the same design as the old Zuiderdam. I'd love to go to see again but a comfy "seat" in the bathroom is even more important to me than a comfy seat on deck....and I love padded lounge chairs.

I’d like to try HAL for the music walk and want to do a fjords cruise - veranda cabin always for me! Do like the little basket area under the TV-handy. Regent’s mini-bar IS included, and you can get them to stock it with anything you want! Can’t wait for you to see the Splendor’s bathroom!
A fjords cruise on HAL would be brilliant. Alaska too! They are the experts in these areas. We can't wait to see Splendor's bathrooms either! :D
HAL…. For the contest. I’m very interested in HAL because I like music and food, so thos sounds like y type of ship with lots of night time music from different genres.

Very nice room and bathroom. From other videos and photos, I can say that the basic priced rooms have ugly bathrooms, at least from what I've seen on Cunard, Disney and American Holland Line. But this bathroom looks very nice.
Actually, this is a standard balcony stateroom, which is the majority of the accommodation on board. The older ships (Vista Class - Noordam, Oosterdam etc) will have the older style bathrooms with the (shudder) curtain.

That room looks very relaxing and functional. Do you think cruise lines are going to have to start placing "no fishing" signs on the verandas and balconies or was that just a one off event?
Haha! I saw that! Well I don't think fishing off your balcony is particularly encouraged, although I'd be surprised if somewhere in the fine print of your cruise contract it didn't mention it as a prohibited activity. 😂

Most importantly, I see how you failed to mention the angle of the toilet? This is the most numerous complaint about the Rotterdam. An engineering design flaw that makes for an uncomfortable and cramped #2.

@@visitwithus I don't know. A month ago, I journeyed on CCL Carnival ship and loved it. I've booked HAL Rotterdam for July, and am anxious to compare experiences, especially because CCL owns HAL. I'm expecting a structurally similar feeling in the staterooms, including the sofa and the bath. Yes, I see that HAL has distinctive engineered maple wood embellishments, and a disco-worthy shower and shower door (unlike Carnival's clingy plastic shower curtain.) Thanks again! Cheers!
We sailed on this in June to the Baltic - whilst the accommodation was great the rest of it was terrible from poor entertainment to over crowded dining rooms and very little to do in the day except sit by a very crowded pool area with zero outdoor entertainment except for a screen showing water dripping from a tap - never again - we will stick to Seabourn
