Peter didn't even need to reveal his secret identity. He could have just revealed that he was the one to let Walter go the night Ben was killed, and that's why he became spider-man, to make up for his mistake by stopping criminals instead of looking the other way.
It's easy to understand that a person might feel responsible for the subsequent murder.

Black Cat doesn't believe that with great power there must also come great responsibility and accountability. This is why Peter is better off with Gwen, but since she's dead he's better off with Mary Jane, well the well written/likable Mary Jane's that is, not Raimi or Insomniac MJ. Peter isjust the exact same way, he's attached to his uncle so its hard for him to empathize with him when he's regretful and truly sorry. It shows a grey morality between them, Black Cat doesnt follow the law but feels a ncie person shouldnt be punished so harshly for a mistake, while peter thinks even if he's regretful, actions speak louder than words and his uncle will never be back, both are being reasonable while also emotionally driven.

The Ben Parker paradox. If Ben hadn’t been killed, spiderman wouldn’t have been born. Remember, spiderman was an obnoxious teenager fighting wrestlers for money. Only with tragedy did he embrace the fact that his powers needed to be used for something greater than himself. That his powers aren’t just a gimmick. When you look at superhero stories, not many superheroes dawn the responsibility of helping other people out of the goodness of their hearts, there’s always a hidden motive, in Spider-Man’s case, in his head if he keeps helping the city, eventually he’ll probably be able to forgive himself for his uncle’s death. Spiderman always blames himself for his uncle’s death. The cat burglar(Felicia’s dad)is just a physical manifestation that spiderman can point his rage towards, but even than, he really doesn’t blame the guy, he blames himself mostly. The death of uncle Ben has different adaptations. In some comics, Peter walks home to find the cops surrounding the neighborhood. That’s when he gets the news of his uncle’s death and other times it was when Ben was picking up Peter at the library. Regardless, without tragedy, spiderman isn’t born. If Ben never gets killed you get a spiderman similar to the 90’s series in season 5 finale. Spectacular Spider-Man’s appearance in Across the spider verse makes total sense, especially when he says his line of looking the other way. That spiderman has embraced tragedy unlike this one who is still holding unto it. Clinging to this sad memory as to why he’s spiderman as opposed to being spiderman to help people. It’s a question of can one truly move on and forgive or will grudges stay true forever. If your loved one was murdered by a criminal who later was trialed and served 10 years in prison. You meet this criminal later on and talk to them about that tragedy and they really felt terrible about what happened. Can you forgive them?

In the original comic uncle Ben wasn't the one who told him that. It was a random cop. The Ben Parker paradox is fake since it was added later and it stuck. Despite it sticking the fact that there is a prior version where peter learns responsibility without his death is enough of a fact to disprove the paradox since Ben still dies later to a different reason. Thus all these comics/movies eluding to it (especially spiderverse movies) are wrong.

*TLDR-* It could have been compelling for this version of Black Cat to find out on her own who Spider-Man is, without him ever telling her. Realizing how much pain he was in and how worse the things she said must have made it for him (and all this time, he NEVER told her off even when it would've been justified), she'd reconcile with Spidey. Felicia would reveal that she knows his secret, vow to keep it, and apologize in tears for what her dad took from him + his family.
*I'll elaborate on the rough scenario I'm imagining below, please feel free to share your own thoughts & ideas:*
Felicia continues holding a grudge against Spidey for some time, and he'd still be there to confront her if/when she commits crimes. Whenever he tries to be reasonable with her, she'd throw her dad's imprisonment in his face again. This pattern would persist for a few episodes, perhaps over the course of a season until it's resolved in the season finale.
But every time she reminds him of what she's lost, snapping that he could never understand and speaking on things she knows nothing about (mocking that a boyscout like him must have had parents who loved him and handed him everything, that he has no idea what her family's suffered, etc.), Spider-Man doesn't tell her how wrong she is.
Every time he has a chance to, and he'd come VERY close at least once due to how much her short-sighted words & assumptions infuriate him, he ALWAYS stops just short of letting the truth slip. He wants to tell her SO BADLY, but his motivation for wanting that changes over time. At first, he'd simply want Felicia to feel as crappy as he does.
He'd only look at the situation from his side, focusing on how her words & actions make him feel. But after a couple-few encounters, Spidey starts to empathize with Felicia more and think about how he'd feel if their roles had been reversed. What if Peter had grown up the way she did, had a father like Walter, and he was his ONLY family?
Eventually, while he isn't ready to forgive himself for what happened to Uncle Ben and still believes Felicia's dad belongs in prison for what he did, Pete would be more receptive to where Black Cat is coming from. The satisfaction of telling her off would only be fleeting at best, and he can't afford to reveal his secret to someone he doesn't trust.
Sinking to her level wouldn't accomplish much of anything. Thus, his thoughts shift toward wanting to tell Felicia the truth but not to make her eat her insensitive words. He wishes he could make her see that he does understand her feelings more than she thinks and she's NOT alone in that. If only they weren't on opposite sides, he could tell her everything.
Meanwhile, the angry Felicia is determined to find some kind of information on Spidey to exploit, not just to get back at him but to ensure he won't get in the way of her heists anymore. He must have friends or allies. She could find & hurt someone close to him or make his identity public and let him see how it feels to live behind bars or be a fugitive.
So, she does some sleuthing, following him from a fair distance (losing him every time) and researching NYC history preceding his first appearance. After a long, obsessive search, she finds an archived newspaper of a certain spider-themed wrestler. Looking up footage of the match online, she's perceptive enough to see how familiar his moves are.
He's clearly less experienced at this point, but his fighting style and agility are unmistakable. Discerning that this kid is either Spider-Man or at least someone with the same abilities, Felicia follows this clue further. She finds where that wrestling agency's documents are kept and sneaks into their offices for records of fights & competitors.
It takes some digging and bribing people who know where to look (putting her skills at disguise to use when approaching them), but she finally gets a name: Peter Parker. From there, she dives into learning all she can about this boy, assuming he has to be Spidey or one of his associates. She even learns about his photography work at the Bugle.
After that, it's a simple matter of tracking Parker to his address. Before she can enact her plan to corner him, however, another dot arises for her to connect in her research: The obituary of Ben Parker, which includes the family he is survived by. This leads Felicia to read about that night's tragedy. Not long after this, lo and behold... Spider-Man first shows up.
Black Cat thinks back to the things he said that night at the prison: "This won't make us even. You're not forgiven. Do you know what happened the last time I looked the other way?" And just like that, it all comes together so clearly. But Felicia needs to be absolutely certain, so she stakes out the Parker house (in another disguise) from a distance.
As she watches from her hiding place with a small but advanced camera, she gets a glimpse through the open windows of Aunt May, imagining her life since her husband's death after such a long marriage and raising their orphaned nephew. What has Peter been through? Suddenly, Felicia catches Spidey swinging into what looks like a boy's bedroom.
He quickly closes the curtains, and what Black Cat sees next confirms everything: Where Spider-Man disappeared, out of the door walks Peter Parker, his eyes shifting as if to check if anyone's watching. He looks in Felicia's direction, but she's stealthy enough to not trigger his Spidey Sense, making her escape to check out one last spot: Ben Parker's grave.
Her emotions well up as she finds the tombstone hours later, looking down at the freshly changed flowers. Understanding now how beloved this man was and the impact his loss must have had, it all makes sense: Why Spider-Man does what he does, why he hated Felicia's dad, and the gravity of how her malicious verbal barbs must have wounded him.
She'd only been looking at how her own life/family was affected by her dad's actions. And all this time, Peter chose to hold himself back and take all her crap rather than risk compromising his secret. Breaking down on her knees before the grave, Felicia apologizes profusely to Ben, Peter, and May until her words are reduced to nothing but sobs.
Sometime later, perhaps after a climactic battle in a season finale wherein Black Cat saves Spider-Man's life and even helps him save innocent people (that he nearly sacrificed himself for), the two meet up on a rooftop after fleeing the cops. Before the surprised Spidey can thank her, she interrupts and confesses "... I'm so sorry, Peter."
Speechless with shock, Pete doesn't even get a chance to try to deny it as Felicia continues, admitting that she did some digging + a little light stalking. She knows about Ben. She knows A LOT about the web-slinger now, including what he means when he says he "won't ever look the other way" again. Tears begin to fall as her heartache resurfaces.
Feeling horrible for how she's treated him, Felicia swears she'll take his secret to her grave. She sobs, apologizing again for ALL of it until Peter, being the kind man he is at the end of the day, takes off his mask and embraces her in a tight hug. His eyes grow misty as he whispers "Shhh... It's okay. You didn't know before. You love your dad, just like I loved my uncle.
You were hurt, angry, and you needed someone to take all those feelings out on. I get it. I saw it in your eyes. They were the same eyes I had when I looked myself in the mirror that first night after losing Ben. For so long, all I wanted was to find the one responsible and take out EVERYTHING I felt on them. I WANTED them to hurt like my aunt and I did.
I dreamed about it so many times... What I'd say, what I'd do... And then, when I finally came face to face with that person, knowing who he was to you, I... I didn't know what to do with all of that. I don't know how to forgive him... or myself for that day. I just... I didn't want to do to you what he did to me, because I know what it's like to lose a father."
Their hug loosens, Felicia looking Peter in his eyes as they both cry. She says "But... It's not the same. My dad is still alive. Your uncle...", but he replies "It still hurts, either way. He's your family. Like I said... I get it. And you had to be even stronger than me in some ways. You didn't have anyone besides Walter." Pete's hand gently dries her tears.
He concludes, "But you do now. I know we don't always see eye to eye, Felicia. And I honestly don't know if I'll ever stop hating Walter. But... I just want you to know you're NOT alone out here, okay? I'm here for you if you need... or want... a friend." Felicia's sadness subsides, and she smiles softly before drying Pete's tears in return. "A friend...", she mutters.
She takes her own mask off, sniffling "Heh... Yeah... I'd like that." Peter smiles back, and they comfort each other on that moonlit rooftop in another hug on their knees. Whatever happens after that... Well, that's a story for next season.

@@ambroiseagnoletti937 Thanks. Yeah, I was personally never big into the Spectacular Spider-Man series. It's not a bad show, it was just never my cup of tea. But I do appreciate when any form of media tries to make Felicia Hardy a more nuanced character as opposed to merely being Marvel's equivalent to DC's Catwoman.
Selina Kyle benefits from quality writing like that too, providing more aspects for fans to love about her beneath the surface level cat burglar & femme fatale motifs. While I'm a die-hard for team Mary Jane Watson (though I prefer Gwen be Peter's first serious romance), I can understand some fans prefering Felicia as Pete's true love.
She's one of many people that have changed for the better thanks to his influence. Their relationship is in several ways arguably more complex & compelling (on average) compared to Gwen, MJ, or Cindy. Ultimately, however, even after all their character development (that's been ruined more than once) over decades, they're better off as friends/allies in my opinion. I've nothing against Felicia as a character, of course, once she's gone through her arc.
A passionate fling when they're young (and Pete hasn't committed to MJ yet) is fine, but I think her finding love with someone else after Peter helped her mature as a person is equally satisfying. She wouldn't be a healthy partner for anyone long term if it wasn't for knowing him. Teaching someone how to love is just as valuable as loving them.

If only you knew the full story of what happened to Ben Parker. But knowing you, you wouldn't care. You always prefer the masked life over the normal life, forgetting you were part of it.

I really hope and praying to God that there will be new seasons if The Spectacular Spider-Man animated series will finally return?! Why you all ask? Because ever since I saw episode 25 and 26 back on 2009, I was very sad & pissed that the show ended up very badly with an anticlimactic ending! And I really hope that Spider-Man from Earth-26496 will find a way to make Felicia Hardy the Black Cat forgive him of his selfish revenge on her father; Walter Hardy the Cat Burglar. Cause I realized that in the grand calculus of the Multiverse, all the Ben Parkers that said to his nephew Peter “With great power, there must also come great responsibility” and that’s on the day he died. Witch means his Uncle Ben didn’t die for nothing. And I really love this version of Black Cat on The Spectacular Spider-Man, because she’s so scolding hot!

What's with people blaming Spider-Man for things he didn't do?
When it's someone else's fault? Her father just told her that he took the life of an innocent man.
Peter should have said that because of her father. He took a husband from his wife and a uncle from his only nephew.

Everyone always praises ATLA for how it tackles forgiveness, but I think this show does it slightly better. Because the person who did the deed, in the end, DID something good in turning on the gas. He's showing he WANTS to atone for his crimes. And Peter still won't ever be able to forgive Walter for what he did. I think that's much more powerful than Katara confronting someone who's STILL a scuzzbag. Because then you sympathize more easily with her about her lack of ability to forgive him. But with Peter? It's more grey. And I like that it's grey here.
