I recently started trying out this piece for fun! I'm still practicing the first few pages but it really is a difficult piece. Hope I can learn it by next year's Halloween
Thank you Liszthesis for uploading this! It sounds beautiful and transcendent! Just curious… do you have the sheet music for both the early versions?? -K10
it can be easly found at the Morgan library and also through IMSLP: www.themorgan.org/music-manuscripts-and-printed-music/115171 but have in mind it is only in manuscript. this video and also the another video about these conceptions were made by analyzing the manuscript quite deeply, on the video from the early original conception there is the explaination about these early conceptions
One question... How did you hide the progressing bar at the top? I also upload Synthesia videos but I'd like to know how to hide it. I know the program does have this feature, but it only hides half of the bar.
I've actually posted the midi on our server tho, actually this midi was never intended to have its own video cuz it was not sth very special though but after my pc was totally covered in water due of the hurricane that hit in here then this has to be uploaded for this special day rip
I'm glad he kept 8:50 despite how insanely crazy it is. Easily my favorite part of the whole thing.
This waltz is one of the best ..... of Romanticism.
7:25 This has to be the of the most beautiful liszt melodies I've ever heard. Reminds me of un sospiro
yeah the mystical quality of that passage is just so special!
8:22 My most favorite part
Liszt must really like the mephisto waltz lol ive seen so many variations
Lol, Leonard Bernstein once said: "Liszt wrote four different Mephisto Waltzes and even a Mephisto Polka! He was a Mephisto mad!"
But of course! It was to commemorate his fallen student Carl Tausig! Had to end off such a tragically short-lived legacy with a BANG and a HALF!
He like Mephisto lol
This is the reason i put Mephisto in the majority of my online games nicks :)
Fascinating.

Its so intressting hearing difference of versions of well known piece? Are there other examples of “several versions” that are known to the public?
perhaps the most famous case would be la campanella - there are 4 versions!
Rakoczy marches and hungarian rhapsodies no.6 would be a great example as well
7:25 It reminds me of Chopin's Etude Waterfall.
Or Un Sospiro. I think it is right

Interesting. I wonder if there'll be more of these
Yo, hadn't seen you in a while! How's it been?
@@charlesthomas5956 Pretty good. I've finished a lot of my etudes, and I even uploaded them online.

we use a program called synthesia video creator to export the raw synthesia video, which already doesn't include the bar at the top ;)
New soundfont?
we actually used that sf for quite some time in the past ;)
Hi, would it be possible to share the midi? I'd like to render this version with my e-piano
this would contravene with our predefined rules :(
@@Liszthesis that's unfortunate, as my usage could never impact your views in any way but I get it
