Wayne from REDARC was very good, not biased and showed great depth of knowledge.

I've been searching everywhere for an explanation of how a proportional brake controller decides how much power to send to the trailer brakes. I had no idea they used inertia to detect braking force. Thank you for explaining that. However, that begs the question, if the tow vehicle lacks the force to stop to vehicle + trailer in an emergency will there be enough inertia change to signal the trailer brakes to stop hard?

My Credo controller has a 1 to 100% brake adjustment, but also a 1 to 5 adjustment that determines the timing & aggressiveness of the brakes when applied. I’ve set mine at 4 with a 40% setting. That’s with a 2500kg caravan.

Bendix have ZERO after sales support. I was trying both before and after purchase to find out how they worked. Can't get a response at all. I bought one as they are very popular. I think they are just on or off. Very dissapointed. I find with my light driving, the trailer does most of my braking. As soon as I just touch the brake pedal, the trailer brakes. The old over run mechanical cable system worked far better. I DO NOT reccommend the Bendix controller. It would be good if domeone did a multi brand comparisson rather than a promo like this video.
