Great product! Integrating two of the main towing harnesses together perfect! Just one side note in the video you connect the negative wire straight to the negative terminal of the battery. With most newer cars running variable voltage alternators (smart alternators) they run a current sensor close to the terminal. Any loads should be connected after this sensor best practice would be to follow the negative terminal to the chassis point and make your connection there. Again great product.
great vid. would it be better to add a VSR for the Anderson plug and I would be fitting the controller in a more centrally accessible location in case it is required in an emergency.
Good video and thanks! I was struggling to find the best mounting point on my DMAX without removing the centre dash. One negative tho...the cost of the wiring harness you recommended is more expensive than just getting the auto electrician to do the whole job😕
@@Corey-pd3mi you are correct, but it is probably a good idea to have a Voltage Sensitive Relay as well, especially on modern vehicles with Smart Alternators and/or an over abundance of on-vehicle electrics that are sensitive to low voltage in the main vehicle battery. If you are installing on a vehicle with a smart alternator, make your you source your battery earth on the outside of the of the sensor, not directly to the terminal. Also, don’t rewire pin 2 on your 7 or 12-pin socket. AS-2513 exists for a reason. You don’t want to be charged for growing a trailer with Reverse lights on constantly and you don’t want to set fire to your car or trailer by running Auxiliary power through a 1.5mm^2 cross-sectional cable. That is what pin 9, 12 and the Anderson plug are for.
Can I run a real anderson plug to operate a rear hitch winch on the back of my gladiator and also is it compatible with the US spec trailer plugs on the gladiator ( don’t want to install 2 separate kits for the same function)
I installed this kit as per the instructions and this video but I’m getting constant power to towpro and Anderson plug but no power at fuse tap where ignition trigger when ignition is off. It seems the ignition trigger isn’t doing its job. Any ideas?
Sarah came through on this one. I'll be installing the harness without brake controller on the F150 and WITH the tow pro elite on my Bronco. Thanks for all the info!
Speaking of Anderson plugs, I have a Dometic CFX3 55L and I cannot buy a cable for the fridge to the Anderson plug, anyone have recommendations, Dometic themselves couldn't help me.
You should not be doing any electrical for trailers unless your an Auto Elec. I see 2-3 dangers every week from DIY people, all fun an games untill you cause another harm.

I don’t think you realise how much 4/6 B&S cost alone
patriot Tuesday!!!!! 🔥🔥🔥
It's good to be back 🥳
should you not discount the neg wire from the battery not the positive in case it touches something and shorts ?
Damn that was exhausting. He's made it so difficult
Great product but shouldn’t an auxiliary battery go through a dc to dc charger. This wiring completely voids it. Interested to know.

Doesn’t Anderson plug loom require a relay for the smart alternator?

Let’s go new video
Followed instructions to a tee on my 22 dmax now I have engine and service lights on my cluster. Is this normal?
Will sell heaps 👌👌
Does this provide power to a charger to charge the trailer battery?
Yes
Will this work for a 2019 ranger?
Sure will mate 👍
Brilliant 👍🏿

Check you have placed the adapter correctly...
Did you get a resolution for this.
My F150 has a factory brake controller. Can I use it instead of the Redarc?

$715 for a farken wiring harness? what a joke!

Thats a big no you dont you calm yourself down little buddy, people do it correctly everyday.
