Definitely a great video. I just received my Isuzu and I paid extra for a Redarc tow pro. But my button doesn’t have Redarc printed. Should I be concerned? Also, they didn’t leave the instructions manuals for this system in the car. So your video has helped me learn how to use this. I probably need to watch this about 10 times before I understand the system correctly Thanks again
@@NJSInstructional But you do need the manual both for your own reference and for future vehicle resale. I'd hound the installer. Probably an oversight. Else download the Redarc manual.
Thanks for this. I just installed a tow-pro elite into my Audi Q7. However, the instructions say it will calibrate direction of travel w/o a trailer. But Mine isn't doing it (green/blue alt).. If I push the button, it will breathe blue once, the back to no LED. Am I misunderstanding the instructions or doing something wrong? Or does it actually need a trailer connection to truly calibrate?
It doesn't require a Trailer to learn its direction of travel. However, in order to calibrate properly, it will require a Trailer with Elec. Brakes. This will show the Green/Blue light until the TowPro fully calibrates.
I don't think it is necessary... The important bit is to go through an accelerate/brake cycle repeatedly until the system calibrates itself. The setting doesn't matter for calibration purposes.
just installed on my truck, drove with trailer for about an hour, must braked like 100 times, green led most of the time, it did flash blue and green for a bit but stayed in green about 90% of the time, when brake led change to yellowish red, trailer brake is working. manual override doesn't work at all, push the button nothing happens, no brake no light, any thoughts. TIA
I have no trailer attached. When I press the button, it lights up blue for about a second and then fades away. The only time the blue light comes on is when I press the button. Does this all sound normal?
Brilliant video, so clear and to the point
Glad it was helpful!
Thank you for sharing. I'm doing my first trip tomorrow with the van and this vlog has given me more confidence. 👍
Enjoy!
Really helpful, many thanks

Glad I could help! It may be branded Isuzu, but it is the same hardware...

Had exactly same thing happen where dealer did not leave instructions instead threw them out with box. Great video by the way

@@NJSInstructional thanks for the clarification!
Thanks cause mine has no LED unless I press the button when no trailer is there.
@@goofyfoot2001 Correct. If no Trailer is connected then there will be no LED illuminated unless you manually press the dial.
Hi mate,
Does your light look more purple than red (solid) while braking.
It is possible in the video it may look a bit different, in reality though it is bright red, especially when braking hard.
Hi mate, do we really need to do 10 when calibrating? Thanks

Hi How do I activate the trailer brake only increase of trailer sway
To manually override the system and activate only the Trailer Brakes, push the rotary dial in.

Not sure, did you install it correctly as per the instructions? Check out my installation video which may be of assistance...

Yes, that is correct.
