I have a very short pixie cut. It was costing me a FORTUNE to cover my “silvers” every 5 weeks. I decided to embrace them but it took a few weeks to get used to. Now people literally ask me “how do they do your colour?”. I tell them, it’s all me. Go for it girls. Best thing I ever did. You never know what’s under there! It’s so freeing!

My hair is silver. I am 65. I don’t expect to look 40. It’s alright to age naturally. People should do what they want. If I wanted to dye mine I would.
I am a 2 time cancer survivor and I’m thankful for every day I’m alive and cancer free. Old is a privilege many don’t have the chance to experience.

But what’s wrong with being old? If we live, we all get old. After a certain age, even dying our hair won’t make us look 25 again. I went natural and am using make-up to make myself “pop”. Red, blue, pink, white, black colours all look fabulous with gray. And nice chunky silver jewelry looks great too.

      @marliza1681 2 года назад

@@darlenepratt3989 I’m 40 and started getting gray streaks coming in in my mid 30’s. I got over trying to keep up with color maintenance (I dyed my hair every color imaginable since my teens). I actually get compliments all the time when people ask my age and are shocked at my reply, thinking I’m much younger. Aging well is really more of a health and lifestyle thing, which is one aspect of what makes going gray so liberating, once you realize the unnatural ideal of youth is really just a dated, confining construct. The better one takes care of themselves in diet and lifestyle will keep one far younger looking and happier than any dye job will. And silver hair that is well cared for can be downright stunning.

I stopped dying my hair in December 2017. I had just grown so tired of having gray roots 1-2 weeks after I had dyed it. And I am feeling great now! The pressure (to dye my hair every 4 - 6 weeks) is off, and my hair is ssssso much healthier! I even had baby hair come up around the edge of my face that apparently all the hairdyes had burned off. Gray hair for Filipina is a sign of old age. So they dye it monthly or twice to cover up grey hair. but i let it go! I stop using hair dye and i realised when it came longer down to the level of my shoulder... surprise i love my gray hair .. and definitely as i age it becomes silky white. I am going 60 and having a lot of fun, i enjoy the color and texture of my hair with Argan shampoo and conditioner.

I never quite achieved my perfect silver ash blonde, but as soon as I stopped dying it, the colour was perfection! It suits my skin tone and more colours look so much better on me now, both in clothing and makeup. I wish I'd embraced the grey sooner, my hair feels and looks thicker and in better condition, I feel groomed and on trend....it's so liberating!

I think it's great - it's cool to have the option to dye your hair or not. I think more important than color however is texture...gray hair can get wiry (not for everyone of course) so it's important to keep the texture healthy and no split ends, etc...it's just part of aging, but aging is a gift and if you have the fortune to age then it should be embraced.

I stopped coloring my hair couple of years ago, as I not only got tired but I started to loose my hair too. So one day I decided to go without it. I wouldn’t say it was an easy decision. There were times that I wanted to go back to color it again and the way everyone was against it that you’re still young, but then I see someone with grey hair, and that kept me going. After few months ( 9 months to be exact 🤔) those who were against started to compliment me. Everywhere I go strangers stop me and gives me compliments and wish they have nerve to do that. So for those who wanted to go for it, my advice, be strong and you’ll see a beautiful result 😊.

People should do with their looks whatever they want. I'll dye my hair and put makeup on whenever and how I feel like it. Not because I'm insecure; days go by without me putting something on and go out because I don't give a shit. It's optional, just as letting your grey hair grow out and never touch a makeup kit. Embracing yourself is allowing yourself to look and feel as you see fit, not mirroring what someone tells you how you must look.

After chemo therapy I lost my hair. When it came back I embraced my silver gray hair and never looked back. Compliments galore! I have kept it short and fun. I use supercuts blue shampoo for gray hair and it gives it a nice touch.

The lady who went grey at 12 (can't remember her name 🤔) is really pretty and her hair colour suits her! I've never dyed my hair and I never want to! I'm not totally grey, but have grey strands in my dark brown hair! I've always loved my hair colour (dark brown but with copper and red, natural low lights).

Stopped colouring my hair when I turned 67. Have never regretted it. Nothing looks worse than dark hair and old skin. and , the money I save....Great.

I used to have my grey roots done every 4-5 weeks, but it got really expensive so I did my own coloring for a while. I got so tired of the mess and the hassle so I decided to stop cold turkey. I haven't colored my hair since this past December; it's been so liberating and I couldn't be happier and my hubby loves my incoming greys!

I'm 46, have gone completely grey, and am complimented numerous times a day. I had a fantastic hairdresser who worked with me and we gradually added less and less ash until it wasn't needed anymore. The next step was to stop with the continual straightening and get a cut that allows me to let my natural texture play. I wear make up daily, always do my eyebrows as they make such a dramatic difference, and wear a lot of black and neutrals, but I would never consider it having let myself go!

♥*♡+:。.。I used to have dark blonde hair then I started bleaching it lighter. By the time I reached my early thirties I went dark & dyed my own hair. But even still need dying every 6 weeks so after finding a hairdresser who was willing to take a chance & strip the colour from it I made the commitment to go natural thinking that if i hated it I could dye it again. I had no idea what colour my hair was underneath the dye since I hadn't seen my natural colour in over 20 years. It turned out to be a soft silvery white and I knew that I could quite happily live with that which I have for the last 15 years. I get a lot of compliments regarding my natural colour. Sometimes nature does know best so if you're thinking about it & have a bit of extra cash give it a go & see how you feel. If you hate then dye it again but if you think that you can embrace it then you'll never look back.。.。:+♡*♥

I was premature gray. Started at 13. But waited till my 50's to make the change over. Took me about a year with lots of great hats, scarves and trims to keep the length. Today I get compliments from all age groups. It was totally worth the wait.

This has inspired me to give the natural look a go. Due to the pandemic, I have cut my own hair, which looks good and I have not had my roots done for a while now I have blonde highlights anyway, so the emerging colour does not look out of place. Even when the salons re-open, I think I will persevere and see what colour comes through.. 🤞

My hair started greying about 54. I was pleased It started at the front with a streak on the full side of my side part. My hair is blonde, so now when I look in the mirror, I sing the the Christmas song by Burl Ives, Silver and Gold! 🎵🎶

I recently chose to embrace my grey by no longer coloring it all over. What my stylist and I are doing is highlighting to blend in with the grey. Still in transition but I'm looking forward to the end result.

Love the freedom of being me. I get lots of compliments from people on my hair. A lot of people think I got it colored that way. I love it. Sometimes I miss my brown hair but I’m lucky to get older. A lot of people associate brown or darker hair withbyouth. I seen a lot of women with dyed hair and they still look old. I still have youthful skin despite the silver hair. I think you are as you think.

There should be more videos about women who put creative color with their grey. that is beautiful. and stylish. Why is it that people think that creativity only belongs to the young. At this stage in life what have we got to lose. We need to let go of conventional thinking and step out. I think that is what this video is trying to do. I would just like to see more of it.
