Love ? I don't think so. Maybe later. For a start ,it's just attraction of needs and curiousity. I too thought really so. I went deeper to understand the ratio of men and women in Singapore , down to Chinese women to Chinese men then to the total . And why Singapore government supporting and encouraging , simple, low birth rate, ageing population and more singles, a simple quick fix worth supporting. As for so called "love" , everyone is better educated, the men of different race live all their life growing up together with women of different race , especially Chinese there are so much more compared to their own ,they are normal man , wouldn't they take liking on any of them ? attracted to them . I am a Chinese male I would be attracted to women of other races too. For the Chinese women sadly for truth , they are known to be accepting and accomodating , decades ago there are the SPGs for Caucasian men , then now well not uncommon or surprising, they want the same thing such as attention and special experience , if you can offer , they will take it. One big groups are SIA cabin crew , I personally knew many who are as such , they don't like men of their race in fact, they found unattractive , they only attracted to different race. If they can ditch their surname or change their children's identity , they would really go for it. I don't mean to be harsh but that's what it is. Singaporean Chinese male many I know, has to resort to foreign partners , seriously tho, I do think Singaporean Chinese male is being prejudice and discriminated by its own women of same race . Well , I must say men of other races are tough and really making effort to get what they need and wants so no issue here . Can only blame the Chinese men of lacking the skills needed. One perception of Chinese women such as a few of my SIA friends are, Chinese men only want sex and not romantic enough, not offering enough attention and not westernised , not of higher classed or having nice career position and English proficiency is bad . That's word for word.

But I think people nowadays are more open and accepting towards these kinds of relationships. There will be hurdles, of course, but who said going to a relationship is easy, right?

It’s honestly mind boggling 🤯 if the stigma is around now imagine what my parents had to go through back then when it was way more traditional

What I learned from me a Chinese girl who used to date Malay guy is that, it's very important that when you're with someone of another ethnicity, you are truly happy with your partner, your partner makes you feel comfortable being yourself, they are encouraging, respectful and supportive, you're feeling peace and calm with them, you can grow with them, you can see a life with them. I think that strong bond and connection will help you and your partner to remain steadfast and strong with each other through any obstacles. Belief in your relationship and your partner is the most important thing in facing ignorant people and those who are prejudicial and disrespectful. In the end, anyone who has something shitty to say about you and your partner, they are projecting their own beliefs, insecurities, hurts and ignorance onto you, they fear what they don't understand, it's nothing to do with your relationship, or you as a person. I hope this helps.

Christianity has changed through the years :) you do not need to be in a relationship with a christian though would be great if your partner is 1, as both would believe that god is the center of their relationship. But there are alot of relationships/marriages now adays where 1 person is a christian & the other is not. Regardless of religion, most importantly is that both party respect each other religion & that the partner that is not a christian, understands that their partner usually attends church on a sunday & is fine with it too.

@@Emsyaz There seems to be an unconscious undertones of racial rivalry that I've noticed is very prevalent when it comes to those that are overtly pro-interracial relations, as opposed to simply being for stable relationships in general. Interracial being accepted as the atypical choice is also different from pushing interracial as the norm, and some even go as far to use interracial as a means to disproportionately push their men onto the women of other groups, so its clear to see there is a racist element to a lot of the interracial promotion ,that isnt simply about 'love' as some call it, is creating and indeed causing racial resentment. And so people will react in kind often when seeing such overt displays of interracial especially when people promote and try to establish it as the norm in such selective and one sided ways. So ironically this overt push may indeed be a contributing cause of further resentment between groups by using instances of interracial to normalise and encourage it as social practice prescriptively, to the detriment of racial identity of a foreign nation or to ones own when applied in reverse to the extreme. Individuals that develop relations with one another, that just so happen to be with someone of another group, is one thing, promoting interracialism as a general good for humanity is another topic entirely that needs its own conversation. Many now are even going as far to suggest that the social practice of interracialism as a lifestyle is the 'better' choice to say same race couples, and seems to be more about gaining racial leverage over another group by claiming large segments of a people's men/women, to the point where it can be considered an act of racial rivalry and not so much individual instances of love. The dominant group that obviously benefits more from the interracial exchange will be more inclined to be for it and call anyone who disagrees with the mass promotion of the practice as racist, when the irony is that its racial interest that is motivating their push for interracialism to this extreme. In the case of a number of african immigrants in Europe many try to now insinuate that if white families are not openly for their white sons and daughters to date interracially they are racist when there is no equality in this exchange due to disparities in gene dominance and demographic numbers when you look t the numbers of whites and the number of blacks globally, so clearly there is racist motive that blacks would have when forcing acceptance of a social standard instead of simply recognising individual instances of interracialism when not prescribed or imposed to be accepted as the norm. Its clear because of this that many will use either genetic dominance disparities or disparities in numbers in population size between rival groups to justify racial expansionism over the land and women of another group when it works to their advantage which is a dishonest primal mechanism all humans are capable of indulging in. There is also the matter of war to consider that involves interracialism. During times of war what would typically happen is the men of one people would be killed and the women of the group would be taken to be bred with, so to suggest that interracialism is solely fuelled by love and has no historic ties to conquest and racial expansionism is just lying to themselves. So ultimately to frame interracialism as being innocent and loving and that there is apparently no reasons or contexts in which the practice and its promotion can be bad is a dishonest one. So is assuming people's opposition to a social practice implies hated or a feeling of superiority to the other group. Some families genuinely want to preserve their racial heritage so believe the right to exist as a people matters more than how some others who do not care about race and want everyone else to mix might think about it.

@@Emsyaz If you are talking about racial predation and primal urge to conquer urges, that are part of what a people is inclined to unconsciously do through various means, I believe that urge to conquer exists in all people. Those that indulge in it the most do not consciously understand their behaviour from a biological outlook, but will rationalise their urge to conquer another group in the name of love, through aggression towards anyone that disagrees with their behaviour, or through social demonization. Which is ironic because those that partake and promote interracial themselves do not wish to be stigmatised for it but believe based on their social values and attitudes regarding interracial, that they have the right to demonise those who disagree with the social practice they are choosing to indulge in and selectively promote. Do you see that there are many layers to this interracial matter than simply 'this is for love', when there are clearly things to gain beyond love as to what some suggestion, and there may also be primal drive to conquer which I do not see many people talk about honestly? The faculties for pair bonding and love in the conventional sense is actually a secondary response to the urge to reproduce and conquer when it comes to mating. Its why most men are willing to have sex with many women but do not necessarily feel any attachment or obligation to pair bond with a woman. Pair bonding is actually more of a secondary response that develops with time. Which we, as a society, have only recently started to develop, but are likely to distance ourselves from as biological survival mechanism kick in again to conquer or be conquered so to speak due to racial rivalry and an acceleration towards globalisation interracialism and its proponents are ironically causing. Many are simply too horny or driven by this biological mechanism to consciously think about the long term ramifications of normalising such social practices as an inherent 'good'. Such practices when encourages makes competition the primary motivator for why people for instance defame or attack those to whom they disagree with them, in a 'kill or be killed' sort of way. We as a planet are accelerating towards mutual self destruction both in terms of racial identity and in terms of overpopulation/lack of sustainable development.

Kudos to the Malay and Chinese couple for going for civil marriage. My SO and I have been together for five years and we're also going for civil marriage (getting married on February) and keep both of our Faith. Throughout our five years, we have met a lot of people within our circle (most especially his Malay family who have even made countless racial slurs and offensive remarks towards me) who are still not as accepting as we would hope them to be. To be honest, we feel that interfaith relationships are more of a taboo topic these days compared to LGBTQ and now, more and more people and media channels have been speaking about transgenders too.
We hope that you help pave the way when it comes to hearing out the stories of people who are of different Faith yet still able to love one another.
If there's anything I wish the video tackled is also them talking more about the negative side of things more especially for the Malay/Chinese couple. There's just so many passing remarks said towards inter-faith relationships especially with Malays and other religions. Also, things like how they are planning to raise their child, legal stuff too (it's really more complicated when one partner is Muslim).
Nevertheless, thank you so much for covering this topic. I have high respects for your channel especially after you did the interview with a Singaporean transgender and am looking forward to see your channel grow further!

In my frank opinion as minority race, seems like mostly a Chinese sentiment that's stems from some kind of superiority complex. Other races definitely have reservations about dating outside your race but usually it's not about desirability but rather compatibility due to religion etc. They may not be the happiest but they're not gonna give you shit or make derogatory remarks about your partner etc. I guess just raised differently.
