Im married for 2 years. My husband is 46 im 26. Hahaha..
I never thought of being with someone younger than me but end up, I'm with someone that is much younger than me. I guess love surprise us. Age doesn't matter if you have the connection. And just because the guys are older, doesn't mean their maturity level is there yet. Age is just a number.

Well, my mother is 10 years older than my father. And age never became a problem to them as long as one knows how to understand and deal with the other. I see how they love and support each other and they never needed anything else aside from US, their daughters, to make their relationship work. I’m so happy for them anyway for turning silver this year (25th wedding anniversary)! And cheers to all couples who never make their large age gap a problem to conquer in their relationships! 🥂

It's so normal to see relationships with men that are 7+ years older than women actually. Naturally, women usually go for older men. It's more interesting to see women that love younger men.
Upto 7-8 y/o age gap is pretty normal,but more than that...
Women dating older men is quite normal. Women tend to mature quicker than men and want to settle down earlier so they find men their own age immature and want to date someone older. But I would still say 5+ age difference when you’re in your 20s is a bit big.
I turned 30 almost a month ago, and I’ve been seeing my coworker who’s 10yrs younger… in my opinion he even LOOKS younger than me lol. I asked him if he’d prefer some cute little IG model type his own age, but he’s super persistent and that makes me feel more confident about the situation. Its been a while since I’ve dated because I was in a relationship. This guy gave me some hope with his sweet gentleness and romantic gestures
Bro we end up finding younger men and dating them only because they shows us more effort compared to older guys
@@angelic.v a lot of times it's because older guys aren't interested in women their own age group anymore so they don't pursue or try hard. Younger guys are always eager for any girl tbh.
I feel like when it's made into a video with people who are together and presented together, it doesn't feel like a big gap. But i wouldn't naturally gravitate towards someone 7 years older or younger as someone who is 23. Because like John and Elaine, you get vastly different friendship groups on each side due to the age gap, even if the couple doesn't feel a maturity gap the friendship groups will have one. But I'm happy these couples are having something workout for them
I don't fully agree with you on the friendship aspect because I have close friends who range between 1-10 younger than I am, and well as 1-10 years older, I think you are using the assumption that the individuals only have friends exactly their ages which most likely won't be true
@I I And once you get even older, to 30s for example, you will have friends that are 20 or 30 years age difference as well.

My parents are 15 years apart (my dad is older) and there are the most lovey-dovey couple I have met in my life. Since young, I had the impression that all couples were so lovey-dovey in life. I feel like age is not a matter but sometimes cause one side is older, there are things where one side cannot understand (maturity)

I dated my ex who is 1 year younger than me for 2 years plus. Though in term of maturity I still think I am way more mature, I still think he is great. it's our differences and unforeseen circumstances that make things virtually impossible (plus I decided to break up due to my debilitating mental health). I think if I am able to love someone younger than me so much, I don't think age matters.

@@rosiebear5596 in the full interview we actually talked extensively about this. We set a lot of expectations with each other before proceeding into this relationship like knowing what made our previous relationships fail so that we won’t be rushing into something we both are unsure of. I guess time will tell but so far things are going great :)

As long as both parties are adults haha.
Key take away here:
Either must be handsome, looks mature, maturity in thinking or famous to even move to stage 2.
If not handsome, least is give a sense of security mah... At least that's something that men can work for.

I'm surprised modern dating doesn't know about people back then did date from a large age gap cause some of the younglings was surprised when i told them i knew people who dated like 7 or 10 years apart and there were all fine and i asked kids to ask their parents when they dated and gotten married and come back with a surprise to find out some of their family members or cousins is dating or gotten married about 10 to 7 years apart. But what's funny about my cousins and family is the females are much older then the man they are dating to soon be married or already married. As its actually happening to me right now as i'm always getting attention from older women i never hang out with a younger girl of my age.
I think most people know that in the past it was more common for large age gaps. One set of my great grandparents had a 23 year age gap, another set had a 7 year age gap. I’m unsure about my other great grandparents though. It’s funny though because my grandparents don’t really have an age gap. My paternal grandparents have a 2 year age gap and my maternal grandparents were born the same year. That’s because they met when they were very young though, my maternal grandparents went to youth group together as teenagers.

Good to know about other couples with big age gap too! My boyfriend is 7 years younger (but I always say 6 because he’s born in Jan and I’m born in Nov 😄).
Certainly have had some issues here and there when it comes to me having experienced more. But it’s interesting how he steps up to be more mature than his peers, and how I get to “relive my youth” with him 😄

I think it’s possible if both have very strong chemistry, mature thinking and commit to work on this relationship to make it a success. It is of a lesser issue if it is the guy that is older than the girl, after all when come to reality financial security is a big take if the guy can provide that. However it might not be for the opposite, what’s more women are proven to age faster than men, and it’s in the men DNA prefer youth and beauty. Unless they have something that goes beyond these superficial values.

7 years is nothing. That is a slight age difference, not an age gap. Maybe you notice it more in your twenties, but when you hit your thirties you will see it is a small difference.
