- Simple, short video instructions on how to make an animated map for your personnal video productions using:
1) Any map image of the area of interest (can capture with print screen function)
2) Any "Draw" program ("Paint" will do)
3) Any Video Editor (Widows Movie Makers works)
Sorry, I will not be monitoring this page or answering questions. Do well!
Somethings just don't need to be difficult, we just make them difficult. I love the simplicity of this trick.
Excellent user-friendly well explained presentation to something I needed to learn and had no idea how to do it. Thanks much! This helped me a lot.
Way to think outside the box. Nice work.
I think my jaw dropped a little when you showed the transition part, couldn't see where you were going with this initially! That sir is an awesomely simple way to do this :D
You would need to set up multiple scenes, one going out and one coming back. Then, you would change the direction of the sweep of the transition to fit the direction of travel for each scene. Depending on the movie editor you use, you could have lots of sweeps that have different directions, left, right, up, down, all four diagonals, etc.
Thanks mate. Easy to do and simply instructions. Much appreciated.

This is so SMART !! Thank you sor.. (does have one limitation when you need to show a route that goes back and forth like a saw edge..
Your animated map is very impressive. It is much more sophisticated than anything I have ever done. You should do a tutorial on how you made it.
Elegantly simple!
Thanks!
Thanks a lot, i thought it was gonna be more complicated
That's what I like... Quick and easy. Great job!
You just need to pick a reveal left transition from your selection of video wipes.

I am not familiar with imovie, but you should be able to create the effect with any movie editing program that has a "wipe" style transition function... Do well!
