    Thanks for taking the time to make this video. It helped answer a few of my questions. Now if Bostitch would just send me the metal connector tip that should have come with my gun, I'll be set to go.

    Your double firing may have occurred because youre holding the gun down with too much pressure downward, that can cause a double firing, its explained in the manual. I noticed you did that early in the video. Thanks for the vid buddy!

    From my research I've been told that cutting a 91/30 barrel the optimal length is 24". That leaves you a barrel with good harmonics plus accuracy out to very long ranges.

    I would not suggest doing this if you wish to maintain any accuracy if you want to cut your gun down to pray and spray this is a good idea.

    • @agadorfea
      @agadorfea 9 лет назад

      Barrel length is not a prerequisite for accuracy. It's all about harmonics and a proper crown. If you're not shooting 1,000 meters length is not an issue.

    La bocca di volata ha un estrema importanza perché è il momento in cui il proiettile lascia la canna e se non lo fa in maniera micrometrica ed estremamente precisa allo stesso istante in tutto il suo diametro il proiettile stesso sarà destabilizzato !!! Ora non credo assolutamente che tu sia riuscito a fare una cosa del genere a mano libera cordiali saluti vanni

    After you cut the barrel,what is the reason for crowning?If you just cut the barrel and thread it,is that a firing issue or something else?I'm doing a Mosin project and i'm threading my first barrel ever...hence the inexpensive rifle.

    • @transdetendal
      @transdetendal 10 лет назад

      crowning the barrel is an precision act to ensure every shot is going exact same direction ,and sorry to say but this wasent a crown finishing up ,wat to deep and way way to bewelled, its to deep and bulged.its nomally squarred to exact angle ,then deburred verry lightly and then this method with the brass ball ONLY tip of edge to the inside bore edge then outside barrel knocked back to prevent cuts. hope it helps you ,look up midway usa to find out more.
