***WON'T SAVE FILE*** This issue has been mentioned on a couple of occasions. This is usually down to your firewall/antivirus, trying to protect against files being altered. If this happens just go to your antivirus settings and allow the change! This programme is totally safe, it is just your antivirus being over protective!
KEVIN!! You have done a marvellous job in explaining this to a real NOVICE!! You are a role model for all who venture on here to deliver tutorials! Well done, and keep up the great work!
Very helpful! I've been creating map routes by exposing the route in a video editing transition, but that only works if you're route goes primarily in one direction (e.g. wipe transition in one direction). But this is definitely better! Thanks for the tip!
Thank you! This is a lifesaver for myself particularly who has an editing workload already and is highly reluctant to tinker around in Adobe AE. It's on version 1.9.1. now.
Greetings from Brazil!! I saw some videos about this subject and yours was the best!!! You really helped me! I used this software to put a map on my video!!!! Thank you a lot!!!
Kevin ! How do I save the video with a longer duration of the map. BC when the line reach to the end of the destination it cut off right away. I want the video stay little longer. Please advise!!! Thankssss!! Really appreciated!!
Hi Kevin, Thanks for doing this video, so easy to follow and straight forward. I've been looking for this type for ages so it's a god send. We're just setting off with doing a vlog on our Narrowboat adventure, can I ask which movie maker you use for your vlogs? I've started with Chipchamp?
Hi there, is it possible to put the points with time? I mean i would like for example point 0 at time 0 seconds point 1 at 150 seconds, point 2 at 280 seconds, how i can do it? waiting for your response, many thanks and best regards!
Hi Kevin, thanks a lot for the video! It seems very easy and handful to use the suggested program. Though, I cannot download it, the Route Generator, neither to a Macbook nor another one.... Any suggestion? Thanks a lot
Thanks Kevin, that was a really useful video. It's a great tool, it does just everything it needs to and there's no unnecessary complications. We'll be using this to make our videos for sure.
Very impressed with your programme, looks great and works well, but I’m not sure how to save (*rgp) to a MP4 or a situatable video file, I’m currently using Wondershare Filmora, can you help please. Many thanks
@@chippykevb I could only get it to save in a RGP file. not sure how to change it to mp4 so I can import it to my video editor programs. The codec shows mp4 but it saves as RGP.
This is awesome, so useful thanks for sharing Kevin! Will be using it right now to add to my recent sailing challenge capsize in the ocean video !! :-)
Well this looks like what I want to create a map for a number of Tramping Trips I made many years ago and took some movie films of, which I am currently going to upload to RUclips. I will need to add this somehow to my Movie editing program Pinnacle Studio. I hope I can do that?
Hmm while I can get the OUT.AVI file to work but when I try to load it into Pinnacle Studio 21, it shows up with a PADLOCK and will not work. Maybe I need to convert it somehow to an MP4 file. I will need to see how to do that.
Hello, thanks for the video. Just one question - on my output the camera follows the car and the map is moving. Its not pretty nice to watch it, the text with city names is moving etc. I would like to have whole map as you on this video. How can I get it, please?
@@chippykevb anyway, I think its not important where the map is from. Its jpg... Just in the output video the car is in the middle of view so the map is moving. 🤷
@@annaprihodova7068 Your right, it shouldn't be important but this is such a simple programme that I really don't know how this is happening. I and it would seem no one else has had this issue. All I can suggest is you contact the software's developer and ask the same question.
Wow! So simple and effective. I just have a question, is taking a screenshot of google maps or google earth to be used in RUclips videos doesn't get us the copyright strike?
All looks good, but one snag - I am trying to draw Our Route for an epic Overland (from Nairobi to Cape Town in 2022) and so it is a large Map to draw on. How can one zoom in on Sections, if at all ……. ? Thnx
Thank you Kevin for this video... it has helped me solve most of a problem I have be try to figure out for a long time. My question for you is: are you aware of a similar route generator for IOS? My wife and I bicycle tour and document our trips on RUclips. Your video necessitates taking along a laptop (Windows) but we travel “light” and create our movies on an iPad (on iMovie). I’m still looking for something that can do the same thing on my iPad. Any thoughts. Cheers, Chris
Thanks for your response KB... it took me a while but I did figure out a very quick and sloppy way of doing it that absolutely meets my needs! I can do a map that is ready for iMovie in about minutes on my iPad. I made a video on how to do it... I’ll admit it’s not the best but most folks should be able to follow along. ruclips.net/video/z781tljTRuM/видео.html
cannot use in adobe premier pro..just keep freezing the program and even it is out.avi the premier pro just cannot play. anyone have the same problem and fixed it?many thanks (I been on it all night)

Because this is a basic route generator it doesn't come with a zoom feature I'm afraid.
