Once older you go to open high country. That's Yellowstone Lander Absaroka. Washington has easy hikes, not that you took any of them lol. Go up Shepherd Pass. That is you. I ain't ever going to Wasatch again. Antelope Island can do. Moab check. Zion bingo. Ain't going to Great Basin again either.
@TheMountainMatt actually yes, many years ago. I served a mission for my church and was stationed in provo, Utah for a month. But never any hiking. Would love to head out there sometime.
@@jasonmears4393 that’s a big mission field in that area 😳 excellent! You hit me up if you’re ever going out there for anything. Emily and I have been there multiple times and are thinking about moving out there when the girls are gone. I’d be happy to help you with things to do 😁👍🏼
The snowbird ridge hike up the AFTP is such a nice quick hike with amazing views. Before the summer is over I want to take it over to Pfeifferhorn and then down Red Pine.
That would be a huge fun day 👍🏼! When I was on Sugarloaf with Emily it looked like you could ridge traverse all the way to the valley floor, might take like 12 hours though 😂. The Wasatch are so awesome! I hope you make it 😁👍🏼
Utah. Antelope Island is a gem for hiking. Weather matters there though. You got Timpanogos on that side and the cave. 5 hours to Saint George. 5 hours to Moab. 5 hours to Teton. I went to the out there Wasatch, front side, and passes split Park City and I15 side. The road behind Bountiful is a great drive.
It's also a good hike from the American Fork Canyon side. Ever tried it? Awesome flowers in mid-July coming from that way along with the superb view of Timp & Tibble Fork Reservoir. Great for landscape photography!...So it was a good surprise and not a punishing one, that's awesome.
I initially found the American Fork Canyon side a year before when Dalton and I hiked Box Elder Peak. It was either Twin Peaks from that side or Box Elder, we decided to save American Fork for the following year with my bros 😁. If I remember correctly it’s like 14 miles total from that side? Definitely not as punishing 👍🏼😂. I kinda wanted to punish those guys a tad 😉.
Great hike! Beautiful views out there! 😍 And oh well, a late start sometimes works as well! In winter it might be a pain because of it getting dark really early... 🤔 Have a merry Christmas! 🎄🎅🎁☃️ Kaat
Only been up to Wasatch once. In Utah, I go to Moab Zion AZ Strip. Toroweap Trumbull. Kelly/twin points are big now. Makay ID is my go-to area in Idaho. May 1st is the best time for AZ Strip Toroweap. By the 30th its 99 degrees often. If I go to Toroweap I always go in from Mount Trumbull. I sleep at Trumbull TH. Get up go up Mountain come back down by 9am am driving down to Toroweap. Utah deal. Stick to La Sals in Utah myself. Or Fish Lake.
So do you have a background in film making? Because the nuances to the shooting and editing are amazing. I really don’t know why more people haven’t found your channel. YT should be promoting it like crazy.
Is it easy enough to avoid the Knife edge ridge between AF Twins and the Gondola? It looks like you can drop off the ridge on the left and take a road/path to it, but hard to tell how doable that is from the end of the video. Thanks!
Yes, it’s doable! We dropped down into the scree field just before the knife edge and hooked up with a path to the gondola 👍🏼 the knife edge looked like fun! A little sketchy though for the rookies 🤣

Excellent. Showing Grandma.
Thanks for showing her Kate!
Making me wish I was back in Utah! What a beautiful hike, love getting above all the lifts
That’s a fun little lollipop loop scramble👍🏼 can’t believe people rip lines from the top of that 😳
Nice matt. Epic views for sure. Utah is a hikers paradise. As always, great job on your videos 📹 👏 👍 👌
I appreciate that Jason! There’s something special about the Wasatch. Have you been to Utah yet?

I’m super late, but that first summit you were on is called Red Top Peak or sometimes Red Stack.
Better late than never 👍🏼 thanks for the info 😁!

Thanks Jerry! I appreciate that. No background just an obsession and passion, you can relate I’m sure 👍🏼
I'm tired just thinking about that climb, but what a payoff! Absolutely beautiful.

It's a fun little scramble👍🏼
When hiking back down the bail off is lookers right at the first tower on your right.
