My father passed away from brain cancer, in 2009 (at the age of 63). He was born and raised in Aguadilla, Puerto Rico. I never met a person with such a diverse flavor for music. He loved Tango, boleros, rock and roll, jazz, American honkey tonk, just to mention a few genres. One of his favorite songs was Greenfields by The Brothers Four. He would sing it to me, as a child. Just listening to this beautiful song, brings me close to him. Thank you for sharing.
Today I am 77 years old. The beauty of this song foster extraordinary enthusiasm to live the rest of my life. Thanks God..... YOU have brought Brother Four into my life. So it becomes more.... more beautiful...
I listened to this most beautiful song since I was 10 years old. Now I’m 67. I’m still listening. Thanks they are all still singing. Thanks for this awesome post.
My friends and family make fun of me because I love "old people" music. I make fun of them because their souls have not been touched by beauty and magnificence yet.
What a wonderful song sounds to my ears in 2018. I used to listened to this music some 40~50 years ago in New York City where I have lived for 18 years. I'm back in Japan now where I was born in 1936. Needless to say, there have happened many things, good and bad, and terrible, in my life of 82 years. But at least, I had a chance to listen to especially American and British good music.
It’s like a prophetic song, greenfields that we used to run are gone now parched by the sun. That’s my memory and good feeling but after all I feel so sad.

The world was an entirely different place. I'm 69 and this song stirs emotions I can't quite explain.

This music so much meaning in view of our country’s direction today.
Time when music was just simple and lyrics were about the truth and beauty of life.
The world would not be the same without the music of the Brothers Four. Thank you
