Great reaction video dude. There's absolutely no distortion effect on his voice, he's actually using traditional Mongolian Throat Singing. I love how The Hu incorporates modern music with their traditional ancestral musical heritage. Totally awesome in my opinion. And this song ALWAYS brings to mind one question: In a 'hypothetical what-if scenario' just EXACTLY which group would ACTUALLY win in a battle: The Mongolian Horse Clans at the HEIGHT of their strength/power (which if I remember correctly was under the leadership of Ghengis Khan), or the American Indian Tribes at the HEIGHT of their strength/power? The reason I personally think that this is a good question is simply because BOTH groups of people seem to have similar skills/training as far as Mounted Warriors goes. And YES, I absolutely KNOW that both groups of people are from different time-periods, I've simply always wondered about that 'hypothetical what-if scenario'. But regardless, again great reaction video as always dude.
The effect on his voice is used commonly in beatboxing to create the bass line for their arrangements. I'm honestly AMAZED that he used that technique WHILE SINGING. I would really love to see your reaction to the all female Japanese rock/metal band, Band Maid. Any of their songs, but I think you'd like Choose Me, Non-fiction Days, or Don't Tell Me most. Also, give some J-Rap and J Hip-Hop a listen. Especially Orange Range.

I love hearing music from different countries. This one is so frickin cool! The dude's voice sounds like a didgeridoo, it's INSANE!! I'm gonna have to download this song!
I jus discovered this band about 2 or 3 weeks back and I am in complete love with them an their absolute amazing sound!! I truly can't get enough of them!!
Saw these guys live 2 weeks ago at Graspop, look it up :). They killed it!
We went to see them live, AN AMAZING SHOW! If they come close go! was so worth it
I liked them the first time I saw the clip. They are awesome!!!!!
That sound is their voices without special effects polyphonic throat singing a tradition. Saw them live about a week ago they threw the entire audience into trance I was buzzing for days afterward. LOVE them :) On You Tube the lyrics are captioned.
I loveeee this song.. First came across on Facebook.. This one song made me a fan of the Hu... 🤘🏻
This is fantastic. The singing is no soundeffect, its a special trained voice, typical for east-Asia.
Kai Zyla more like central Asia or the Altai region.
What I really like about Hu is that even after thousands of years of music being around, it can still be reinvented in a cool way. :>
My dad made me listen to this and I was like omg this is so interesting
Omg why didn't I see this till now. I'm so glad you reacted to it! I know I messaged you on Instagram about them back in april. I'm sure I wasn't the only one tho. There music video showed up on my husband's recommended and we both fell in love with it after hearing it.
Super late to this party but I love polyphonics. To be able to manipulate both sets of vocal cords independently of each other to produce harmony just strikes me as awesome.
Please react to more avatar. Hail the apocalypse, house of eternal hunt, paint me red, or the eagle has landed. Anything just more avatar
Smells Like a Freakshow!
Black Waltz is awesome.
@AlexHefner Please consider a band called Bloodywood. They are Indian metal and just outstandingly good!
I just found them as well! Aren't they nifty?
React to Tengger Cavalry - War Horse
R.I.P. nature GB I agree man these guys practically started the genre it killed me to hear about his death.
Remember Nature. He made Mongolian metal.
Saw these guys live in Toronto, first time travelling to NA. One of the best live performances I've seen.
Cant believe you actually found this band I saw these videos last year, it's so freaking cool to hear something different than the same bands. Whole different style, instruments, and flavor
I just found them 2 days ago. Amazing music.
React to Kamelot - Liar Liar (Wasteland Monarchy)
Its the kind of sound that you surely will like! Great melodic vocals, great instrumental and the AMAZING screams done by Alissa White-Gluz!
"Is this effect?"
*Every Mongolian disliked that.*
You killing me 😂😂😂
...mounts horses....strings bow...
This is the first time I've discovered a new style of music I've never heard before on this channel. Thanks Alex, for putting this out. I'm a new fan of these guys. Gonna be looking up some of there music for my playlist now lol.
Saw them live in Pittsburgh......rocked all night...THE HU
Now it's time for some Indian metal! Check out Bloodywood! Either "Endurant" or "jee veeray" you won't be disappointed
Fuck yes!!
Oh yes!! Also machi bhasad !!!!!
Yuck
@@ahmedsalauddin2265 ??
Anyone remember the Iraq guys called massacrie. They did a cool metal song..
I cant wait to see more of them, theyre gonna rule the world :D
they have another banging song called yuve yuve yu. highly recommended
Great reaction video dude.
There's absolutely no distortion effect on his voice, he's actually using traditional Mongolian Throat Singing.
I love how The Hu incorporates modern music with their traditional ancestral musical heritage. Totally awesome in my opinion.
And this song ALWAYS brings to mind one question:
In a 'hypothetical what-if scenario' just EXACTLY which group would ACTUALLY win in a battle:
The Mongolian Horse Clans at the HEIGHT of their strength/power (which if I remember correctly was under the leadership of Ghengis Khan), or the American Indian Tribes at the HEIGHT of their strength/power?
I have been listening to The Hu for almost a year. Please react to more of The Hu
"WHAT KINDA DAMN WIZARD INSTRUMENT IS THAT!"
Hah! I'll be honest, did not expect to see The Hu on this channel! Awesome!
You should check out Tenggar Cavalry next! Go for the song "Cavalry In Thousands"
That horse head instrument is called morin khuur ( horse head fiddle) . next like a guitar instrument is called tovshuur( mongolian traditional guitar ) . Their singing style is called karkyraa and khoomei( mongolian throat singing) The hu said they are created new genre then they called that Hunnu rock and anaother way "hu" is translated as ''male kid'' in Mongolian.
Nah dude war horse (2012)
Cvalry of thousands is awesome yaee
Please check out Fit For a King-"the price of agony" it's perfect for you. Also their song "Backbreaker"has a 20 second scream at the end
I discovered this group a while ago and I love their music
Just found your channel, great so far! The HU are an awesome band. I saw them live in San Jose in Dec and was blown away. Love this band!! Love your other reactions for the 80's music I grew up with, keep it up.🤘🤘🤘
Even their instruments names sounds cooler than I can ever be.

Please react to Avantasia: The scarecrow or the Raven child.
Not giving up until I see a reaction of the band.
Greetings from Germany.
Dominique Albrecht I totally agree with you. Why? Because Avantasisa is really good at what they do. Not to mention they’re an actual supergroup from what I know from the Wikipedia on the Internet.
Scarecrow live!! (Flying Opera Tour)
+1!! Love them!!
Or The Wicked Symphony. There's lots of good ones to choose from.
I'm with you! Alex will love Avantasia!
never even tried to imagine that heavy metal can be found in Mongolia O.O thanks to bringing new pieces of music) I've watched your videos only for an evening, but got so many new names to me!)
Alex you have branched out so much musically over the past year or two I love your reaction to new music, keep it up brother. this is asian throat singing it's fucking amazing. It originated in Mongolia but spread around Asia.
Манай монголчууд!
Баяртэ.
Кто понял песню-лайк!
Привет Монголоос ❤
Brings to mind if Native American's had metal in their native language.
That would be awesome
This is throat singing no special effects fecking awesomev
I absolutely love the Throat Singing. There are various types. I admire the Inuit and the Mongolian. Thanks for posting this! 🙇🏻♀️🎤🔥🔍🇺🇸👏🏽
I love your reaction! Also they sound this amazing live and in person!
That "guitar" is a bow an arrow, look at it. "Hu" is the root word of human. This is a song for humanity. Turn on the subtitles!
So, after Maori and Mongolian metal you NEED to react to Indian metal :
INDIAN STREET METAL ("Ari Ari" ft. Raoul Kerr) - Bloodywood
Bloodywood is so good.
Bloodywood rocks !!! Alex you've must listen that indian style metal mixture
F YES!!!
Hell yeah
MonsieurGLaDOS by maori are you talking about Alien Weaponry?
I like how you don't even try to claim you're a hip-hop head anymore 🤘
They are just as awesome live as recorded. Saw them in San Antonio. Worth the trip.
