Nice comparison! It'd be super helpful to know how far they can detect people at night. So maybe you could include a test with that in your videos. Thank you!!!
I'm done with Hikvision when I took out my old new spare camera. The firmware update, the last one available, locked the camera's web server to Microsoft Internet explorer, and Microsoft has pulled that browser. Hikvision locks out down grading, so I don't need that hassle.
Yep, we've seen the same thing before. The error message "Your browser is not supported" continuously pops up, forcing you to use Internet Explorer when it's no longer supported in Windows 11. It's very disappointing to see that happen with Hikvision cameras.
@xlrsecurity On Apple store icabweb browser, can change Brower IDs, you can modify Edge to act like Internet Browser. As I say, I'm not buying anymore if they would just leave downgrading as an option. One problem is you can't deal with them directly. To have the last update for a device before stopping that has a flaw, the user can't go back is a huge negative.
The comparison is good, both cameras have their advantages and disadvantages. In terms of price, of course, UNV wins. But there are cheaper analogues from other manufacturers with the same matrix.
For a while (1-2 years ago), none of the resellers were offering Hikvision because it was banned for sale in the USA (well, I know they weren't offering Hikvision). The alternative was Uniview. So what's the consensus now that Hikvision seems to be sold once again in the USA? Should home owners still switch to Uniview for their security equipment?
Hikvision and Uniview are both great choices for homeowners in the USA. The ban on Hikvision was completely political with little to no evidence of any wrongdoing by them. Of course, we prefer Uniview due to their simplicity and reliability but Hikvision cameras are just as good.
Thank you for your guidance you make me knowing more about Unview IP camera & nvr

Surprisingly, you couldn't use its applications? SADP and IVMS
