Hi Harry I would really appreciate if you could please please make a video showing how you can change the Hikvision IP Camera Smart light option using the Hikvision NXI NVR or normal NVR. New camera has this smart light option and mostly videos on RUclips does this setting using SADP tools, but no one explains how to do via using NVR as cameras are connected back of the NVR, so hard to do via SADP tool. Thanks
Can you run the cameras at lower resolution to gain increased fps, being set on the NVR? I would have thought if this can be done, the 8mp camera would still provide a better image, as it should be benefiting from a higher resolution sensor and down-sampling, or is that not how these cameras work?
@@harrysolutionsltd7254 thanks, thought this may be the case, although it adds the flexibility should you wish to change it in future instead of the full outlay again 👍
Am I supposed to select the resolution when I am setting these 4k cameras up or is that automatic? I have six of them and my complaint is soon as you zoom in on something during playback mode the picture pixilates so bad the image is useless.
Hello, I have a question: I have had an old DVR from HIK vision which is Missing In Action - lost contact during a burglars operation (Alarm was not installed yet). Thanks to God loss was just a few jewellery they mistakenly thought they were made of gold , a door lock and few IT devices (police found them the next day - thanks to them for their intervention) and the DVR - 504-K1 Unfortunately the model we had was triggering thousands of notifications when raining or bugs going in front of cameras… so we had to switch off notifications on our smartphones… quite silly thing to do… We still have 4 cameras I think 2 MP or 5 MP( I really don’t know) So now I’m thinking to buy a new CCTV + Alarm What’s is best according to you ? Buying a DVR or NVR ? Are the new cameras able to distinguish between rain drops, bugs and humans in order to reduce false alarms? Thanks for your advice.
Hi, I have one of these Colorvu 4K (DS-2CE72UF3T-E) but it has condensation in the lens...is it possible to take the lens off and clean it out or is it a sealed unit?
How do you know which models are bigger than the others? The 3 left you have are way much bigger than the 3 right ones. I am in search now and I always have to search every model and try to find a video to understand.
@@engineerfpv thanks for the comment and apologies for the delay in replying. All the TVI models tend to be smaller in size to the equivalent IP cameras. The cameras on the right are TVI and the left are IP cameras. Hope that helps
Thanks for the comment - You’re absolutely right, the recorders do restrict the frame rates for these cameras on playback but it wouldn’t be a huge amount different from what the camera can achieve
@@zororat Hi, thanks for the comment. Hikvision do a whole range of cameras but the POC technology is limited by the recorder. They may in the future bring in better frame rates for these however for now the next next thing will either be a HiLook IP camera or an IP Hikvision system
5mp is best 8mp is overkill the frames are too choppy unless you got 8mp cameras already installed it's not worth it for normal regular homes, 5mp does the job, the problem is the dvr is the main issues 5mp lite and 8mp lite is so misleading they both 2.5 mega pixel and 4 mega pixel output, i cant find any dvr that does true 3k and 4k dvr system
I really like you videos, really helpful. I love the way you made the videos, so good. keep it up

you can run them on a lower MP to increase the FPS but if you;re doing this you might was well just buy the lower resolutions cameras to start with...

isn't it more of an issue with the frame rates of the recorder than the cameras, as these are generally lower than the camera can achieve?

The number plate should be checked after turning on the headlights of the vehicle at night.
Thanks for the comment! You’re right, headlights would probably dazzle a camera at a bad angle but this is the same with most cctv cameras
Cannot see number plates at night with these cameras. Need an anpr hikvision

I think both the same thing. Just different words
The camera installer has tattoos on his fingers, wouldn’t trust the company who employs such people
Why analog
