Late to comment but I just received my board and I have some recommendations for those who follow this guide. 1. Absolutely relube the stabilizers on this board, they seem like they are lubed well but they are not... CLIP the stabs they are not preclipped. 3.I went ahead and used a silicone mix to help with the sound of the board and it came out fantastic! You could also go with a foam mod kit from StupidFish they make a kit for a lot of cases and the Tofu 60 is one of them. 4. I also swapped my springs for the lighter 50gm springs, and I can say it may not be worth it the slightly heavier springs are just fine however if you like a lighter feel than go for it. All that said after following this guide and doing the above mods I can say my board sounds and feels soooooo much better. Give it a try and come back to tell me how your boards sound!

The Lekker switches don't need to be swapped to south facing to avoid interference. Gateron has added a new fillet to their new molds (ever since the Oil Kings I think) which avoids north facing interference with Cherry profile keycaps, which the Lekker has. Just a heads up if you happen to see this.
Just want to confirm that this is true based on our tests, but since we don't own GMK caps, we do not have enough confidence to officially recommend it and it's more "flashy" and easy to understand as there are a lot of people that forgot the reason for south facing switches.,

Appreciate you showing the burger mount, this is the exact config I wanted to go for. Unlucky that the steel plate limits the sound so much. Really wish wooting would offer fr4 options
If you want a nicer case try and get hold of one of a Mekanisk Fjell or Klippe. They have the same mounting points as a Tofu but sound and look much better. Also its a shame the PCB and plate sounded so crappy in the Salvation because they board does sound really good normally. Some of the more flexible plate materials might work if you used some plate foam.
The Burger mount IMHO is a pointless mod, if anything makes the experience worse.. Hence much later in the video after you did it and were going over the tripods on the bottom of the switches you said "it's still a very firm typing experience unfortunately" and you showed yourself pushing down the entire board and case. Tofu60 and any case alike, if you add even one layer of foam to the bottom of the case it is going to touch the PCB even if the PCB is just sitting in the case and not screwed in. The burger mount in theory seems like it would work/help but it really does not, it makes things worse IF you add foam in the case. I have three Tofu60 cases one of which is the frosted acrylic and you can visually see that there's not a lot of depth inside the case at all so the burger and foam is aiding in keeping the board incredibly stiff. If you took the o-rings out you'd notice it likely helped with the board not being as stiff or you can keep the "burger mount" and take out the foam, one or the other. I've had my Wooting for quite some time now, I think personally if someone were to come out with a 60% ANSI Silicone PCB dampener that along with the tripod + films (when they become readily available to account for the large stems / channels) it would perfect the Wooting.
New here, but the fact that I'm seeing good Wooting content from someone in a cool Roland shirt makes me glad to be alive. Gotta appreciate the algorithm, +sub
Hi, just a quick question, if I would replace the switches, will the functionality of the wooting 60he not work like rapid trigger, changing actuation points? Or the tech is only on the pcb itself? Thanks in advance.
could anyone elaborate on why the north/south facing is so important depending on your key caps being backlit or not? I've flipped mine and don't really see any difference with my solid black keycaps
I did a heavy coat of lube, and sat there and pressed everykey a few hundred times and now it’s smooth and thocky a little poppy. Build wooting he+ with aluminaze case pc plate and oem profile keycaps
Not a huge fan of the wooting stock stabs i did some extra lubbing but think i will just change them, not sure if it's the switch or the stabs tho, i'm just used to more bouncy space bar so maybe the lekker L60 are not strong enough for this spot.
I know you mention that there are no issues but how are the switch tripods doing now? No issues at all? I currently use these on my epsilon switches and ordered another set for the wooting but now I’m not so sure. Would be a bummer to have a set that I won’t be using if issues occur on the lekker switches. Will be trying it out anyways just wanted to hear it from you before I attempt it.
Just went ahead and sent a pre-order through their site. Have been wanting an upgrade from my Anne Pro 2 for the last 3 years now, so much so that I've been debating making a custom board but this video convinced me otherwise. Can't wait to see what it's like in person. Exceptional video as always 👍
Just weighing in. If you have a switch top you don't need an opener. A top is a great free switch opener. Flip the top upside down and push the switch onto it.

Glad to have you!
Hi, just a quick question, if I would replace the switches, will the functionality of the wooting 60he not work like rapid trigger, changing actuation points? Or the tech is only on the pcb itself? Thanks in advance.
Just ordered it, looks like a too insane gaming keyboard not to buy
Tripod mod did not work for me. DKS became unworkable.
could anyone elaborate on why the north/south facing is so important depending on your key caps being backlit or not? I've flipped mine and don't really see any difference with my solid black keycaps
North facing combined with GMK keycaps makes a weird sound that lots of people don't like so they tend to swap the switches to south facing :)
Even after lightly living using your method somehow the switches sound so bad in my klippe t.
Maybe different foam will help.
If you wanna lube your key caps, why don’t you just fire some WD-40 in between them 😊
I did a heavy coat of lube, and sat there and pressed everykey a few hundred times and now it’s smooth and thocky a little poppy. Build wooting he+ with aluminaze case pc plate and oem profile keycaps
How to know if the lekker switches fits in my keyboard?? (English is not my native language, sorry for any mistake)
Any recommendations where to get an aluminum 60% case? the TOFU60 discontinued and i have no clue what to buy now lol
I actually removed the PCB and the foam pad, and just pushed the switches out without using any tools. That way the plane can stay scuff free.
Not a huge fan of the wooting stock stabs i did some extra lubbing but think i will just change them, not sure if it's the switch or the stabs tho, i'm just used to more bouncy space bar so maybe the lekker L60 are not strong enough for this spot.
Godamn man I just got out the keyboard space and now I find this? Curse you and your great no-bulshit modding guide!
Been rocking mine for about a month. Well worth the wait. Done some mods. Great company.
Great video man.
If youre wanting that hard sound just use hushmat. Been used for years i car audio. Kb will sound like a brick.
I think wooting should start selling pcbs and custom level cases and there own lines of diffrent types of switchs
You would need switches aswell for the analog
Hey community, did anyone do a holee mod on the original stabilizers ? Which mod do you guys prefer 🤔
LMAO. What is the "Brazzers" logo that appears in the bottom left hand corner at 4:44?
Has anyone tried the new plastic PCB from Wooting yet?
Dare say this would sound and feel better with an SMKeyboards case & plate.
I hope KBD brings back the tofu 60 1.0
4:44 BRAZZERS😆🤣😂😝🤪😜🤑(wow didn't expected to get a heart😊) wait a minute where do my heart go?😆
Idk why it disappeared
This is awesome! I have the stupidfish Tofu 60 foam, do you think that will work without issues?
Can’t be sure but it should work w minor modding
Wow I’ve never realized Schlatt has been into the keyboard hobby
3:15 if money is an issue you probably shouldn't buy a $170 keyboard lol
can you do review on ID80 crystal from idobao?
ill pay 120 max for that keyboard 180 its too much
Love your content man, getting into keyboards and audio was a blast thanks to your vids.
I just wish that it was QMK compatible which is a deal breaker for me, the rest seems perfect.
me: not listening and use a screw driver
*breaks about 14 roselios switches*
4:43 You could have spared yourself this joke...
I really really really really wish they had 7u support. Any chance you could convince the creators??? Imagine dropping this PCB into a Frog Mini??
could you mod a full size wooting keyboard?
Does anyone know of a decent wireless mechanical keyboard with hot swap
I love the keyboard stuff. For me, I'm cool with whatever you feel like making.
Thanks!
i hate keyboard asmr but idk why but its cruel to me
Just went ahead and sent a pre-order through their site. Have been wanting an upgrade from my Anne Pro 2 for the last 3 years now, so much so that I've been debating making a custom board but this video convinced me otherwise. Can't wait to see what it's like in person. Exceptional video as always 👍
will the drop scroll affect the keyboard speed ?🤔
Is it possible to add an encoder to Wooting HE keyboards?
What is the keyboard in the background @0:54?
Ayo what’s that in the bottom left corner at 4:43??
Just weighing in. If you have a switch top you don't need an opener. A top is a great free switch opener. Flip the top upside down and push the switch onto it.
Now my typing is vocoded to can you fell my heart
