**IMPORTANT UPDATE** - Thanks to @Delbs1 I decided to try some snap in stabs in the new module and here's the results. I also included a KS-20 sound test for the couple of you that asked. ruclips.net/user/shortsVEZ7O3GX_j8?feature=share
Man......This video is S tier. You literally showed it all. You made the go to video for the wooting HE hands down! I have been waiting for someone to make this video. I been rocking my wooting HE for a little over a year now. I bought the redux case when you first did a review on. I wanted to know if changing the plate would make a difference. This keyboard is pretty hard to THOCC out lol. I really love it though.
@badseedtech I may not have heard or whatever but did you say the release date of the module know anything about it, relative ideas or not allowed to say if you do know just out of curiosity as Christmas is a good excuse if it is right before lol. 😂
I literally am about to buy a new itx gaming system and wad going wooting and finalmouse ultralight x so seeing this is great but like others when is it available?
@sggee they are already available, pretty sure only thing not available at the time of making the video is the bare bones kit. The redux 2.0 can be bought a dropbox and everything else from wooting website.
Wooting really is at the top of the game, that Alumaze case looks amazing! Great breakdown B. You literally hit ever nail on the head when it came to configurations. 💪🏽🔥
Man, every video you raise the level. All those configs in one video? Who else does that? And the presentation of the clips with the config listed on the left with the changes highlighted? Gold.
Damn that Wooting aluminum case with that O-ring mount sounds SPECTACULAR. Thanks for the comprehensive build comparisons as always! (As someone who recently got in shape, that shit takes a lot of mental discipline, good work dude on both content and health front!)
*WOOTING 75!!!* A 75 is by far the best keyboard for an enthusiast PC gamer. I have a 60 and hate it, I need the F keys. I would have bought a Wooting 75 and a snap, but instead I purchased an AKKO variant for my magnetic switch 75.
I'm hopefully eventually doing a Holy60HE with the module, I know there's a lot of people who hate on the holy60 case because of the sound signature, but I like it.
Such a clean and well made review.. your channel is easily becoming one of my favorite you always discuss my fav products and you do it so well by explaining and telling us your experience.
Super looking forward to the module. Already got a perfect 60% build so I would love to be able to swap out the board and switches for a far better gaming experience!
I'm running the original 60HE with alu plate and L60 switches on the Tofu60 Redux case burger mounted. I was thinking about replacing the plate for a PC one and maybe try the L45s. You just saved me some money.
The alu case looks better than the Tofu but it sounds worse IMO, and I really don't like the fact there's no option to get the board with it instead of the plastic one from the get go.
Great video mate. I recently made a custom wooting for a mate and found an FR4 plate + used some super deadening foam which they use in automotive use. The experience is bloody awesome and sounds fabulous!
Wooting is a smaller company and there are some drawbacks such as wait times for their products, but the way they support them and the quality of their products makes them my favorite company. That and the fact that they pretty much were the first people to include such awesome features like rapid trigger in a keyboard.
I too wish they had retained the original case dimensions so that the wrist wrest was the same size! Also, the stock clear plastic dust cover does not fit with this new case!
12:45 this is probably what I'll be getting (might skip the brass weight) but with stock caps as they seem to sound the best tbh (9:30), a question though, what is the switch foam? did you ever mention it in the video? in your other video ( /watch?v=igy_n3f7VeI at 4:18 ) you mention that you can't film the switches? where do I get the ones you have in the video, or can i just get any brand (for the lekker 45)?
Any chance you can toss in Gateron Mag switches and give it a go? I feel that all your configs sound very similar and doesn't get rid of the sound we all hate. Gets a lil better, but its still there. So that could mean that the switch is actually the acoustic problem. That's an amazing amount of effort on this video though. Thanks.
These kind of mods are great to see - I really wish they would release a version of the 60HE that had a daughterboard, so it could be installed in keyboards like the Bakeneko, though. That would really make this the perfect hall effect PCB.
I built the Alumaze65 with Module, L45, tape mod, Drop DCX Sleeper keycaps, lubed stabs, and I love this keyboard… except I really miss the arrow keys and would prefer to have the Function row again. I will probably sell my new Wooting 60HE+ and buy a Drop Sense75… and get that knob action.
Another Badseed BANGER! I'm just mad that I bought the Regular 60HE, and now the module is available, which is such a better price proposition for someone like me that already had a 60% Casa xD Edit: Screw Ins really won't work with Gummy O-ring mounting (Bakeneko and such work best with clip in ones). Have you tried any aftermarket clip-ins with the O-ring mounting on the New module? It might work!
This might solve my buyer's dilemma! I like the Wooting aluminum case, but preferred to O-ring mounting, and lighter weight switches. Thanks for commenting this!
I watched this video like 5 because so much good information. Thank you for all the effort and work you put into this video. It was extremely helpful for someone like me. First time with a custom keyboard.
having space between the switches and the pcb doesn’t affect the experience. the software is made to detect the difference in the strength of the magnetic field, so it doesn’t matter if the switch is 1mm away from the pcb. as long as the switch stays in place, all the features work normally, so you can do a pe foam mod.
Love your videos and your honesty when it comes to your personal life. And the effort you put into your videos and breakdowns is top tier. Please keep it up! The Tofu60 Redux is pretty nuts for 60 bucks, miles ahead of the old school tray mount cases. Even the new Tofu 2.0s are crazy. Have you had a chance to check out the Gateron magnetic switches for the Wooting?
@badseedtech What are using on your non-gamer setup? I'm looking pretty hard at the Wooting for my first dip into custom keyboards (had a few different mechanicals over the last 5-7 years), but as many others I also use my home computer for work and lots of typing. I've never had linears before and I'm not into swapping keyboards based on whether I'm gaming or working. So would love to know what you're running other than the wooting (if any) for more typing-heavy stuff. Once again thanks for all the great content and the all the in-depth examples. It must take ages to pull everything apart and back together so many times, but it's just what many of us are looking for to discover what different mods do. And man... The quality of your videos. Appreciate the hell out of this channel and the effort you're continously pouring into it. Hats off!
Yo thanks man, I really appreciate the kind words. I have a pretty insane custom keyboard collection at this point but 90% of the time I use a Mode Sonnet at my main workhorse.
@@badseedtech That’s a linear as well, right? Is it the size, feel or just luxury of choice that has you maining the Sonnet? Don’t get me wrong - from what I can see it’s a great board - so perhaps I should rephrase: would you have issues maining your modded 60HE? I know it’s a preference, but I’ve never mained a 60% and so far I’m debating waiting for the 80HE or the Boog75 (hence the question regarding size). I do love the modability on the 60 though - it seems better suited for it.
Just got a nice deal on a Wooting 60 he and redux case with the brass weight locally yesterday. Wish i woulda waited until today to buy parts for it since i just bought some GMK blue samurais off drop and the FR4 plate from KBDfans solo. still from what you've shown i think ill end up enjoying the sound regardless. thanks for the great video!
Look for the Monsgeek M1 HE if you want a 75% analog keeb, it comes fully built, switches, keycaps, with a CNC machined case. I saw it on singles day for about $120 so look out for sales. That's $20 less then the PCB only for a wooting 60 and it sounds MILES better than a wooting (though still not as nice as a custom mechanical keyboard).
Big question. I know you just made this video but would it be possible for you to take a look at the new Holy60 case from kbdfans and compare their new pcb with the wooting pcb? And great video.
Something to know about the Oring mount, if you keep your switches north facing it's going to dim your number row since it pushes aside the plate foam and can obstruct the LEDs.
Just got the Wooting Module and also Gummy O ringed the Keyboard with using the TX Stabs also it does matter which ones as before I got TX AP stabs and the bottoming out force was bad like the space bar didnt go back up bad anywho Really Enjoying this mod and who'd know that stabilisers actually made a difference its crazy, Crazy Cool!!
BadSeed, currently looking for a new keyboard, should I just get the Wooting 60 HE now and mod it or wait for the new module, also If its better to get the Wooting now what are the best mods for it?

I was unsuccessful with the gummy o-ring, og he w/ pc plate. Maybe i misinterpret your video or it wasn't clear. but i wanted to share in case others are wondering. it appears there is less clearance for the gummy o ring with the pc plate vs og he plate due to the where you screw into being thicker on the pc plate. Plate mount and clips ins both work with the module as the PC plate still supports plate mount stabs so that you can continue to gummy mount.

Have you tried or heard of the Raptor HE switches that KBDfans offers with the Redux, just ordered them bc I really didn't like the sound of the Lekker60/45 and I haven't seen much people on youtube use them either
how thin is the foam?
Hey, big man. Could you do a review of the Cidoo V75 prebuilt? I'd love to hear your thoughts on it!
Divinikey caries the Tofu 60 redux cases too and they're in LA!
What mouse is that my guy? p.s. love the minimalist keyboard too. so sleek and clean.
that new 80he looks beautiful ngl
I think what's left for Wooting is someone to make hall effect versions of popular custom switches
Can you spring swap the switches to get rid of that weird noise? or would that just ruin the point of the switch?
The HE switches have a really large barrel so spring swap options are essentially limited to other HE springs.
We're working on a "variety" spring pack, which will have several, different spring weights for modders to try out.
More when we're closer to release.
