**IMPORTANT UPDATE** - Thanks to @Delbs1 I decided to try some snap in stabs in the new module and here's the results. I also included a KS-20 sound test for the couple of you that asked. ruclips.net/user/shortsVEZ7O3GX_j8?feature=share
Man......This video is S tier. You literally showed it all. You made the go to video for the wooting HE hands down! I have been waiting for someone to make this video. I been rocking my wooting HE for a little over a year now. I bought the redux case when you first did a review on. I wanted to know if changing the plate would make a difference. This keyboard is pretty hard to THOCC out lol. I really love it though.
@badseedtech I may not have heard or whatever but did you say the release date of the module know anything about it, relative ideas or not allowed to say if you do know just out of curiosity as Christmas is a good excuse if it is right before lol. 😂
I literally am about to buy a new itx gaming system and wad going wooting and finalmouse ultralight x so seeing this is great but like others when is it available?
@sggee they are already available, pretty sure only thing not available at the time of making the video is the bare bones kit. The redux 2.0 can be bought a dropbox and everything else from wooting website.
You just saved me so much time and money with this video. I have had my wooting 60He for about a year and have been wanting to so something new with it and didnt know where to start with all their new products. Thank you so much.
Man, every video you raise the level. All those configs in one video? Who else does that? And the presentation of the clips with the config listed on the left with the changes highlighted? Gold.
Wooting really is at the top of the game, that Alumaze case looks amazing! Great breakdown B. You literally hit ever nail on the head when it came to configurations. 💪🏽🔥
As someone who has a 60% case sitting in my keyboard drawer, and all sorts of keycaps to choose from, really loving the module launch. Gives me a chance to use pieces I already have to test out the 60HE.
I've been reccomending this channel for over a year now and man I don't regret it a bit. You don't miss. Spectacular quality and coverage of products man, love the channel, keep doing what you do!
Such a clean and well made review.. your channel is easily becoming one of my favorite you always discuss my fav products and you do it so well by explaining and telling us your experience.
Damn that Wooting aluminum case with that O-ring mount sounds SPECTACULAR. Thanks for the comprehensive build comparisons as always! (As someone who recently got in shape, that shit takes a lot of mental discipline, good work dude on both content and health front!)
glad that u mention that the switch "chirping" is more prominent in these sound tests as my 60he doesnt chirp as aggressively as i find all these sound tests do. i actually kind of like the chirping sound as it sounds like magnets clacking sort of. which is exactly what it is. it seems that pretty much every video on this kb that talks about the sound, no one is able to identify the fact that that sound is the magnets. mines pretty much stock except that i hand lubed the switches and lubed the stabs. its definitely a fair bit deeper than any of the sound tests in the video.
Super looking forward to the module. Already got a perfect 60% build so I would love to be able to swap out the board and switches for a far better gaming experience!
Thank you so much for the video. Was really looking foward to the sound of this case and everything, but after hearing it, my modded tofu 60 will be my forever build. Car sound dampener, foam, and a couple other small things. But my tofu60 makes it sound absolutely amazing and I've never wanted another keyboard after using this one. Much love!
Great video mate. I recently made a custom wooting for a mate and found an FR4 plate + used some super deadening foam which they use in automotive use. The experience is bloody awesome and sounds fabulous!
I'm hopefully eventually doing a Holy60HE with the module, I know there's a lot of people who hate on the holy60 case because of the sound signature, but I like it.
I watched this video like 5 because so much good information. Thank you for all the effort and work you put into this video. It was extremely helpful for someone like me. First time with a custom keyboard.
Lots of hall effect keyboards on the horizon, the q1 he, akko mod he and then you got stuff already out like the arbitor studio polar65, i hope you get time to check those out because as good as the wooting is people are still looking for that next best alternative
I'm running the original 60HE with alu plate and L60 switches on the Tofu60 Redux case burger mounted. I was thinking about replacing the plate for a PC one and maybe try the L45s. You just saved me some money.
12:45 this is probably what I'll be getting (might skip the brass weight) but with stock caps as they seem to sound the best tbh (9:30), a question though, what is the switch foam? did you ever mention it in the video? in your other video ( /watch?v=igy_n3f7VeI at 4:18 ) you mention that you can't film the switches? where do I get the ones you have in the video, or can i just get any brand (for the lekker 45)?
I know this is a little late. But you can make the module with the PC plate and Screw in Stabs fit with the Gummy O ring mount. I have two different sized O rings I have managed to get the keyboard mounted with. Take a little bit of time and patience but it works and sounds great. For easier mounting go with a 190mm 3.0mm O-Ring
@badseedtech any suggestions of how to get the PCB out of a tofu redux with the o ring? Mine is pretty tight in there and can’t seem a way to get it out 🙃
The alu case looks better than the Tofu but it sounds worse IMO, and I really don't like the fact there's no option to get the board with it instead of the plastic one from the get go.
*WOOTING 75!!!* A 75 is by far the best keyboard for an enthusiast PC gamer. I have a 60 and hate it, I need the F keys. I would have bought a Wooting 75 and a snap, but instead I purchased an AKKO variant for my magnetic switch 75.
New follower here. Just want to say I loved the review and your thoroughness. I also dig your B roll and visual design. just learned about this wooting keyboard today and you have definitely swayed my decision here lol. Also that personal build is COOKING! Digging the custom key cap. GG on the video and no I'm down the rabbit whole watching your videos lol
These kind of mods are great to see - I really wish they would release a version of the 60HE that had a daughterboard, so it could be installed in keyboards like the Bakeneko, though. That would really make this the perfect hall effect PCB.
I actually think its insane how diffrent each keyboard can sound, i got the stock wooting 60HE, just put some high quality electrician isolation tape on the pcb and hand lubed the switches and stabs and the sound of mine is deep and "thocky". I seriously recommend using proper electrician isolation tape for tape mod! For me these mods did the job, i tried the burger mount but it felt a littly to mushy for my feels
out of curiosity which tape exactly? i’m building a 60he+ module with alumaze case and L45’s and i need to tape mod(this will be my first ever keyboard build project) so what classifies as ‘proper isolation tape’
ohhh okay, and yes that would be great if you could link some stuff! if i cant find the exact ones i can look for similar options. as i said im new so im kinda looking to soak up as much info as possible! thanks so much again for the reply and help!@@Kryel88
also im assuming when you said put the tape on the pcb you meant like on the back of it like reg tape mod yea? (sorry if thats a dumb question lol)@@Kryel88
Love your videos and your honesty when it comes to your personal life. And the effort you put into your videos and breakdowns is top tier. Please keep it up! The Tofu60 Redux is pretty nuts for 60 bucks, miles ahead of the old school tray mount cases. Even the new Tofu 2.0s are crazy. Have you had a chance to check out the Gateron magnetic switches for the Wooting?
Awesome video. Alumaze case is 25% off so only $90. Redux with shipping, plates, and brass is more expensive. I also want the strap on it looks cool lol.
This video is so solid at conveying the fact that Wooting 60HE simply does not adhere to most of the keyboard modding norms because of these contact-pin-less switches that essentially have a giant hole where physical tightening and contact would exist for traditional switches. Still doesn’t take away from these or modding them for that matter… (mine in Blade60 gets most love out of my collection), but yeah. Great video.
Another Badseed BANGER! I'm just mad that I bought the Regular 60HE, and now the module is available, which is such a better price proposition for someone like me that already had a 60% Casa xD Edit: Screw Ins really won't work with Gummy O-ring mounting (Bakeneko and such work best with clip in ones). Have you tried any aftermarket clip-ins with the O-ring mounting on the New module? It might work!
This might solve my buyer's dilemma! I like the Wooting aluminum case, but preferred to O-ring mounting, and lighter weight switches. Thanks for commenting this!
You could always try a Tape Mod. 1 or 2 Layers of Tape on the back of the PCB. Stick with Painters Tape, that gets off easy later on and doesnt leave any residues (unlike Electrician Tape or other).
Any chance you can toss in Gateron Mag switches and give it a go? I feel that all your configs sound very similar and doesn't get rid of the sound we all hate. Gets a lil better, but its still there. So that could mean that the switch is actually the acoustic problem. That's an amazing amount of effort on this video though. Thanks.
Maybe I missed it if you answered this, but would you recommend upgrading to the new module from the old one? I bought a 60he about 4-5 months ago and will be swapping to alumaze, l45, and pc plate soon
I bought the OG 60HE and put it in the OG Tofu 60 case about a year ago. Also wondering if it’s worth buying the 60HE+ and Tofu Redux with L45 switches

Not many people probably understand how much work is required to create this seemingly simple and short video. Much respect to you @badseed
Man......This video is S tier. You literally showed it all. You made the go to video for the wooting HE hands down! I have been waiting for someone to make this video. @@caddy7779 what about the new module?
I just wish they made a 65HE
And wireless !
75HE 😅
Or even one of those DIY bat shaped ones 😁
@j_t_eklund let's hope keychron Q1 HE is decent
So doesn’t everyone. They are missing a huge market. I’d but a 65-75 keyboard. But not this
My 60HE just shipped so it should be any day now for this to release 🥲
You just saved me so much time and money with this video. I have had my wooting 60He for about a year and have been wanting to so something new with it and didnt know where to start with all their new products. Thank you so much.

Man seeing the boxes of Badseed Tactiles in the B-roll footage has me hyped for the next wave.
I got pretty hype when I saw them too lol. We're soooo close at this point.
I've been reccomending this channel for over a year now and man I don't regret it a bit. You don't miss. Spectacular quality and coverage of products man, love the channel, keep doing what you do!

I must be missing something but what are the matte black keycaps you have?
BRO! THANK YOU for sharing your fitness/health journey with us. That was such a refreshingly inspiring ad. lol
Great video man! Literally covered everything!
Anyone know where i can get something similar to the Gummy Oring? its double the price of the actual product to ship to Canada.
Where do i get the thing that sits on your esc cap? Its amazing
glad that u mention that the switch "chirping" is more prominent in these sound tests as my 60he doesnt chirp as aggressively as i find all these sound tests do. i actually kind of like the chirping sound as it sounds like magnets clacking sort of. which is exactly what it is. it seems that pretty much every video on this kb that talks about the sound, no one is able to identify the fact that that sound is the magnets. mines pretty much stock except that i hand lubed the switches and lubed the stabs. its definitely a fair bit deeper than any of the sound tests in the video.
its really hard to get hall switches to sound good :/
Highlight of the video has to be seeing the retail packaging for the Badseed Tactiles R2! Can't wait!
Super looking forward to the module. Already got a perfect 60% build so I would love to be able to swap out the board and switches for a far better gaming experience!
i like that the wrist rest slots directly up against the front of the keyboard
Thank you so much for the video. Was really looking foward to the sound of this case and everything, but after hearing it, my modded tofu 60 will be my forever build. Is that any 50a gummy oring will fit?
You are always looking into the things I am curious about thanks and great work 👍
Fantastic video, BST. Love the breakdown on everything. Also Huel is awesome, vouch for them too
Great video mate. I recently made a custom wooting for a mate and found an FR4 plate + used some super deadening foam which they use in automotive use. The experience is bloody awesome and sounds fabulous!
Can you try the new gateron jade switches on the wooting
Cant wait to look into these closer. Badseed, whats the accent cap for your esc key?
I'm curious to source this as well
I'm hopefully eventually doing a Holy60HE with the module, I know there's a lot of people who hate on the holy60 case because of the sound signature, but I like it.
So the Carbon Fiber plate should work with the module correct?
Does work, yes.
Great vid badseed, just wondering if its possible to use clip in stabs on the screw-in pcb so you can use gummy o-ring mounting style?
I’ll probably do a short about it tomorrow or Friday
Yes you can!
I watched this video like 5 because so much good information. Thank you for all the effort and work you put into this video. It was extremely helpful for someone like me. First time with a custom keyboard.

Can you use mechanical key caps on a HE keyboard?
This video made me pull the trigger on a wooting module and two of their Alu cases. Great video!
Screw in stavs are compatible with clip ins
Clip ins are compatoble with gummy o ring
I know this is a little late. But you can make the module with the PC plate and Screw in Stabs fit with the Gummy O ring mount. I have two different sized O rings I have managed to get the keyboard mounted with. Take a little bit of time and patience but it works and sounds great. Been eyeing this keyboard just for something new. Found your breakdown very interesting.
Super informative video, basically answered every question I couldve had. Great video keep up the good work!
When doing the Gummy Mount, do you need to screw the pcb into the case at all? or just fit place it down into the case?
Im wondering the same thing
Mr Kratos, if i get the redux acrylic, is it a must to buy with the brass weight?
When I was using the standoffs in my case one of mine broke off as I was trying to screw in one of the screws with the standoff
So does the oring mount replace the burger mount?
Where did you get that skull ESC key cap?! I’m going to build my first woofing 60HE keyboard and I will love to add that in the build…
What are the name of your black on black key caps??
hi, did you use the white or grey base plate?
Wait so 140 for the PCb and now switches?
@badseedtech any suggestions of how to get the PCB out of a tofu redux with the o ring? Mine is pretty tight in there and can’t seem a way to get it out 🙃
wait did you by the foam liner separately or did it come with the module
Just curious, is it possible to add an LED strip onto the bottom of the PCB to get underglow?
Man said so much thing in one video, almost feel like you're out of breath. Thanks for the hardwork.
What do you mean. When you write foam plate insert? Is that just using the foam that came with the wooting? Like reusing that? Thanks
Hello? can i buy the Wooting 60HE to use the Tofu60 Redux Case or do i need to buy the 60HE+
The alu case looks better than the Tofu but it sounds worse IMO, and I really don't like the fact there's no option to get the board with it instead of the plastic one from the get go.

Excellent video, great setup! Any advice on a DIY switch opener maybe?
how thin is the foam?
this man is the Unbox Therapy of the Keyboard Community. Love the quality of production in yours vids.

also another reasoning is i want thock😭 so yeah, names of tapes would be good info to give, the info will not go to waste!
Just Look for "electrical tape" the one i used was Made Out of PVC.
I could Link you some stuff but i dont know If you can get them.

Could you make a video about the gummy ring mount?
Does the keyboard sit lower with any of the cases compared to the og wooting60
did you try swapping the stabs to something else on the new module to see if the o-ring mod would still work? didn't see anyone ask this.
Love your videos and your honesty when it comes to your personal life. And the effort you put into your videos and breakdowns is top tier. Please keep it up!

best video of you, yet. congrats!
Is there a release date for the module?
Today!
Brass plate in a wooting good idea?
Thanks so much for this video - wondering which height you like with the Alumaze with the wrist rest?
Hey I noticed you didn't talk about a tape mod, would you not tape mod this keyboard module?
how come no one else has covered this module?
Gotta keep Huel happy
Awesome video. Alumaze case is 25% off so only $90. Redux with shipping, plates, and brass is more expensive. I also want the strap on it looks cool lol.

Man, you really went all out for this video, fantastic!
Thanks brother!
Thoughts on the L45 switches compared to the Gateron Magnetic Oranges offered with the TOFU Redux case on KBDFans?
what is the difference between wooting 60 he and 60he+ thank you for your answer
Another Badseed BANGER! I'm just mad that I bought the Regular 60HE, and now the module is available, which is such a better price proposition for someone like me that already had a 60% Casa xD

Ooh good call! I haven’t yet but I’ve got a mountain of tx stabs over here. I’ll put it on the shorts list.
This might solve my buyer's dilemma! I like the Wooting aluminum case, but preferred to O-ring mounting, and lighter weight switches. Thanks for commenting this!
Plate mount and clips ins both work with the module as the PC plate still supports plate mount stabs so that you can continue to gummy mount.
@@tirade75 the plate mount stabs screw causes the o-ring to stick out apparently on the non-base model (Shown in the video around 11:45)
You could always try a Tape Mod.
1 or 2 Layers of Tape on the back of the PCB. Stick with Painters Tape, that gets off easy later on and doesnt leave any residues (unlike Electrician Tape or other).
I think we need to get you on MTBs. "We" (the Royal) need this focus and attention to detail brought to the "fling yourself off a mountain!" realm.
Thanks.
Why didnt you use the ks-20 switches in this video? Can you show them in short or something?
Awesome dedication...
Just ordered the module with the redux case in purple. Any recommendations for key caps, was thinking a pbt gmk eva or Drop dcx hyperfuse?
Hi mate can u help me. Which case is more comfortable case mainly for gaming aluminaze or redux?
What button is that on top left
Maybe I missed it if you answered this, but would you recommend upgrading to the new module from the old one? I bought a 60he about 4-5 months ago and will be swapping to alumaze, l45, and pc plate soon
I bought the OG 60HE and put it in the OG Tofu 60 case about a year ago. Also wondering if it’s worth buying the 60HE+ and Tofu Redux with L45 switches
at roughly @9:46 you show wooting. pbtfans, and GMK keycaps up close. The GMK appear to have more texture on the top but its not certain.. Which keycaps do you feel has the best grippiness for finger lock-in on the keys that youve tested or used? I like my fingers to not slide around at all when i play FPS games. I even went as far as putting supergrips from pulsar on my wasd keys haha. Awesome video btw. Thanks for what you do!
Another exceptional video on terms of information and quality!
you are awesome man! thanks for all of your reviews of these!
Thanks so much!
BadSeed, currently looking for a new keyboard, should I just get the Wooting 60 HE now and mod it or wait for the new module, also If its better to get the Wooting now what are the best mods for it?
ayyeee thanks for the shoutout B! wooting sounds sick with the o-ring mount. might be time to pick one up now.
Did you bought the wooting 80he?
Rocking the boardzy pulsar theme also nice 👍
Always gotta support the homies! 💪🏼
The family photo should have said, "Dadseed and Dad's-seed." Lol
May sound silly but what electric screwdriver do you use for modding keyboards?
Love your videos man! Just wondering what PBTFANS keycap pack you used and where did you get the escape button keycap? Keep up the great work!
