I can really tell a lot of thought and energy was put into making this video. You do great stuff Brian, and I really appreciate you. Also, this keyboard looks SICK.
As a keyboard enthusiast, and someone who actually owns another Hall Effect board, I was pretty excited when I saw this thing drop. Especially when I realized the Lekker switches are manufactured by Gateron. Pretty cool stuff. As a gamer, I also appreciate a board with gaming oriented features. Had to preorder one of these, and fortunately I did, as they are going to be going up in prices. I went for the ARM version, so it'll be here later in the year, but a 2-3 month lead time is nothing when you are used to 1+ years for group buys... I'm pretty excited to try out analog as well, since my HE board I own now doesn't have it, but it looks cool, and I remember this being a huge selling point for the original Wooting boards, especially in games like CSGO.
This board sounds like it would be a dream for fighting games. Being able to footsy back and forth faster than normal sanwa switches and damn near eliminating the travel time of specials to just your reaction time.
This review has sold me..... on the Wooting Two HE 😂 Finally, FINALLY someone makes a balls to the wall custom fullsize keyboard with some crazy mod potential. Id love to run with a 60% but when Im not gaming, Im stockbroking lol. Simply cannot do away with a full size and most fullsizes are cherry MX switch only (or light switches) and simply just sell on macros or RGB effect profiles. Wooting, a brand Ive never heard of before today, is the 1st brand that gives you everything they possibly can to give you a crazy tangible gaming advantage with freaking HALL EFFECT KEYS 🤯 but at a price that is frankly shocking for what they are putting in that keyboard. Astounding it can be done this cheap, real testament to the teams efforts in production design, streamlining and cutting a little margin to get the fullsize out at an affordable price and into hands. Crazy props, Buying one right now after watching this review and then reading their article about their production hell for it.
Yeah, I'm a backer and I don't regret it, the overall package is really nice for a retail board. However I'm using variable actuation point a little bit different: I set it to 2.5 mm rather than the 1 mm default.
What a BANGER review! i love that this thing is leading tech while also being as customizable as it is. Getting core badseedtech vibes on this and good to see you talking about the gaming space again. Great job B!
Actually this might also be a game changer for the FGC. Fighting games also use "micro walk" inputs. Traditional arcade button switches like Sanwas are definitely not as refined as gaming keyboard switches.
the first few sections, you introduced some tech that topped steelseries and razer. this caught my attention. i was completely unprepared and quite literally dropped my jaw the moment i realized how customizable this board is, from plates, sounds dampening, etc. my jaw only returned to my face when i starting typing this. impeccable category introductions and possibly the most fitting title. amazing as always brian.
Great video! Can’t wait to see what people do with these. Wooting really outdoes themselves every time in this market. Hard to beat for the price point.
That switch feature is amazing. I want this board now. I feel like I drift around 3d maps in a game while playing relaxed, and to have fast accurate movements takes so much energy, this switch can fix all of those problems for me. Good video.
I've been in the hobby for over 2 years, but this stuff excites me. It's awesome how innovative this is and how we can actually gain some sort of advantage out of it.
I wasn't sold till the release point actuation change feature. If it works for you that could be absolutely game changing for valorant or for me for csgo. I'll be honest - I'm tempted.
I ordered one instantly after watching this review. I’ve been using duckyone2 minis for a while now and have been holding out on “custom” boards. I’m glad that I’ve waited because this is right up my alley, not fully custom but a damn good idea / design. I love it, can’t wait to get mine!
The keyboard in terms of functionality is impressive. It would be interesting to see if they can sell their pcb and switches separately. Considering these can go in 3rd party shell. Like you said the only gripe is it not being wireless. Which i guess if they release v2 with as wireless. This can be easily crown as best gaming keyboard hands down.
Due to the nature of the switches they would only sell the module as one piece. And they stated that it would still cost almost as much for just the module so you might as well get a case and cable with it.
@@underdoglucifer if you think about it thats where all the R&D is. The case and keycaps are all quality but they are not what you are buying the board for. The main cost is the Lekker Switch and the Firmware.
Great video and an even greater keyboard. Love when companies take the more customer-friendly, almost downright open-source approach to developing products. That way you get things that are performant and standardized at the same time. Kudos, Wooting.
This keyboard is actually on another level god damn. Now all they need to do is split the spacebar 2 or 3 ways somehow while keeping it somewhat natural and they have the best keyboard for gaming
Bro after watching I already wanted to buy it but I’m legit needing to buy IT the fact you can mod it on later is so nice they are pretty much ahead of everyone at the moment 😢❤ great review liked and subbed!

For anyone seeing this video and wondering if they should pull the trigger, let me tell you this - I just plugged my 60HE in... and there is no other brand now. I genuinely cannot believe the quality that I've received out of the box, no further action needed on my end other than plug and play. Surreal, excellent S+ Tier product off the rip.

The second wooting releases a 75% im handing them my wallet. I got the Wooting One years ago and it looks like they have learned so much as a company, while the Wooting One was a decent board, its nice to see that they learned from the slight downfalls of the One and improved upon their design.
You're the second techtuber I've seen that's SUPER hyped about the 60HE, it's fun to see something so good get released into the market 😁 I wish they'd release a 75% version
Typing this on a Wooting Two HE: Can confirm. Best keyboard. Best team. Best software. You forgot to mention that the Wootility runs natively on Linux. Might not be big for you or maybe even most - but it's HUGE for me. Regarding highest rankings: the HE series even surpassed my previously highest ranking input device - the Swiftpoint Z, which sadly doesn't come with linux support, but is otherwise a supreme product too.
As far as I am concerned, the whole "optical switches are faster" thing is borderline a scam. When you press a mechanical switch, the metal parts keep rattling and they may accidently touch each other more than once. That's why a simple code is added to the firmware; all it does is recognize when you press a specific button and ignores the next presses for the next couple of milliseconds in order to let the metal parts stop rattling. So basically you do not make the initial reaction slower, you just limit how fast you can press the same button twice (to a timeframe that is so small, you would never even notice it)
You are incorrect. While unnoticeable without testing, it is indeed faster on even the first click. The photoresistor in an optical switch is extremely sensitive and sends a "1" signal much faster than it takes for a mechanical switch to reach wetting current. Not to mention, the PTR starts getting light even before the plunger has fully even bottomed out. > 0.00000000001ms latency More like ~0.5ms faster response time, on just switch level, not even accounting for firmware delays.
I think the effect of low latency firmware and debounce delay is player specific. Commonly spammed keys being actuated quicker can’t be a bad thing. *Most* players probably won’t be affected by debounce delay, but some are.
That's actually not true. Most debounce is done by delaying the input for extra accuracy. Eager debounce (what you described) sends the change immediately and then ignores subsequent inputs, but it's still somewhat prone to accidental inputs and occasionally even double inputs. As you said, this changes the delay between inputs but not the initial input. Deferred debounce, which is the standard, detects the state change, then waits a set period of time to see if the state is the same, THEN sends it to the computer. This is better in terms of accuracy but adds some latency (5 ms being the standard debounce time for most enthusiast boards). You can also do asymmetrical debounce and do eager for actuation and deferred for release, which generally works pretty well IMO. In and of itself, that 5 ms is really not a big deal, but for whatever reason, there's also inherent latency in many keyboards as compared to many gaming keyboards. The lowest possible latency, even using eager debounce (or no debounce), on the GMMK Pro, for example, is around 6 ms, whereas the Logitech G915 is more like 2 ms or less. Again, I'm not saying that's a noticeable difference that anyone should care about, but it is there and some boards are much worse than that.
This is incorrect. Running the code in the firmware still adds around 1ms of delay which is why optical keyboards have lower latency. Even this Wooting keyboard still has a 0.7 ms delay however the adjustable actuation and rapid trigger still make it faster than an optical in the real world. However it will be difficult to notice a 1 ms difference but the only 1ms mechanical boards I am aware of are the expensive corsair boards.
@@nickglover For some reason I thought that the standard is Eager by now because the switch manufacturers have improved so much and false triggering isn't much of an issue anymore, but after taking a look at the documentation of QMK it looks like the default algorithm used by them is still the deferred. It's negligible, but it seems like I was wrong; the default debounce algorithm indeed slows mechanical keyboards that use QMK's default algorithm.
Okay i know the leker switches is super good for gaming , but the compatibility of its mounting system is and the switches can be rotated for south facing is mind blowing. As a gamer and a keyboard guy this is just crazy , the possibilities are insane.
@@GonexW Some cherry profile keycaps, mainly higher end stuff like GMK and EPBT have interference issues with north facing switches, where the keycap will hit the physical switch during actuation. This causes weird sounds, as well as a mushier bottom out as its not the switch bottoming out but the keycap hitting the switch. South facing switches, which is how mx switches and all mx clones are designed to be faced, does not have this problem. Hence most custom keyboard pcbs only offering south facing switch ports since cherry profile is the most common higher end keycap profile. The only reason gaming keyboards have north facing switches usually, is because the LED's are shown at the top in north facing configurations, which is better for rgb compatible keycaps. A non issue for custom keyboards.
Brian, of all the years I have been following your channel I have to say this is your best review to date and one that has be SALIVATING to get the product, I love it when the reviewer genuinely loves a product and it shows through. What sold me was the ability to rotate the switches around and being able to use different cases. Looking forward to you reviewing some wireless gaming headphones as it is a confusing market for me as a consumer and others I am sure.
And it sounds good too? Damn, this is huge. It sounds to me like an actual game changer when it comes to mechanical keyboards tailored for gaming. Also, really good video, man.
This could be the best review you've ever made, BadSeed, and that is saying something. It may be because this is new tech and has a lot of depth, but man we're you thorough. Tech reviewing perfection right here, no cap at all.
I think you are one of the most trustworthy tech tubers out there. If you say this is, as of right now, the best gaming keyboard on the market, I trust you. May check it out. Thank you!
Wow, here's something you don't see everyday. From all the keyboard stuff out there this definitely stands out in function and is in a relatively universal form factor which allows for lots of custom stuff too. Very well thought out. Love the software customisation and best part doesn't need to be constantly running or even installed, simply awesome. Definitely going on the shortlist for "to buy" Thank you for showing it, well done
Just preorderd this and bought the full size. Very rare for you to talk so highly about a board so I went all in on them. Hope it is as good as it looks.
For me its the best stock keyboard ive ever owned. I normally mod everything I own but whoever lubed my board NAILED it theres nothing i can even think of doing to improve it aside from a case swap to a blade60 or Fjell.
I'm not even a hardcore gamer, but the browser feature that lets me change the board's setting WITHOUT having to install a dedicated software is enough to win me over. Really nice job!
All of the keyboards and mice that have some latency lowering magic cure always have issues elsewhere, mainly the tightness of the switches. Put box switches that aren't flopping around under my fingers on this thing, and I'll try it.
Dude, this is the first video of yours I'v ever seen, I have to say, you are a fantastic presenter. I'll definitely be subscribing and checking out more of your content. The keyboard looks great and you've done a great job densely packing in a lot of information in such a brief video.
Just got mine in and can confirm at Immortal rank in Valorant it's honestly kind of a game changer over my favorite custom keyboard I've been using, an NK65 with lubed silk red switches. It's a night and day different for strafe fights and for short peaking / counter strafing corners. I would love to know if anyone plans on / has switched the plate into another body and what the look, effect, feel etc. is because that's the one thing I slightly wish was different. Also considering lubing my switches a little bit more too but don't want to mess anything up - the stock ones sound alright but not as smooth as my NK65's. I would love to see a video about you modding this with other cases etc.
You cant mod the plate or the module in anyway like Brian said. If you do you'll likely brick the board since the distance between the plate and PCB are essential to the hall effect
Really incredible video. It reminds me of a lot of your older videos which covered new and innovative peripherals. With most peripheral companies being very stale right now, this new release and video felt like a breath of fresh air. I really love the effort that you put into this video, it was a joy to watch. It’s awesome how they really made this board perfect while also thinking about the custom market. Keep it up! 🔥

@@badseedtech Hey do you have any plans to review the Epomaker FIrstblood B67? It's an interesting keyboard and I'm super curious to see if it sounds awful or not...
I have a love hate relationship with me wooting keyboard. I love the constuction of it and how nice it is to use. Sometimes the software gives me a headache, profiles going missing or chages to how DKS works making what was once working profiles now useless. Also coming from a razer keyboard I do miss being able to audio meter when I am listening to music. Wootility can connect to syanpse but it breaks the keyboard down to 4 large sections and just doesnt work for something like that. All in all it is a great keyboard and the software is getting updates. Not to mention Wooting is great with communication both in discord and on their streams. All this is based on a user of the Wooting two HE.
Great to see more keebs using firmware that lets users customize between taps and holds for singular keys! Don't think VIA allows custom mechanical boards to do that currently, but I also haven't messed with VIA in a hot minute. I will say though, one of my first "custom" keebs was an Ergodox EZ that had this board's exact tap/hold key functionality. The Moonlander from the same company also does this (as i assume all their boards do). Until this board, the Ergodox boards were the only ones I knew that really did that, which nade finding a new custom keeb harder, so it's awesome to see this functionality making its way to more boards. Overall really excellently done review!
Hey, I'm using a tofu60 for my 60he. I can tell you it doesn't fully fit. As the case is slightly bigger. You can put it in. You can use kjg with the case. The problem is it will align more to the left. You'll have a slightly small gap on the right side.
As always, great review. I’ve grown to trust your reviews as you aren’t about hopping on hype trains, or pulling punches. You laid everything out about this complex board in a highly digestible and intuitive manner. I’ll be looking to pick this up even though I’ve sworn off prebuilts. Rapid trigger, custom firmware without software, AND can be used in enthusiast cases? That’s insane for the price. Thanks again, as I came to get a look at that mouse (r/mousereview) and would have missed this otherwise. Also, what desk mat is that? Looks dope!
found the same thing with the tartarus pro. thumbstick style movement doesnt work well because your system treats it as a gamepad. meant using an actual gamepad for other games was a huge pain and meant you had to keep unplugging the tartarus over and over.
Outstanding Review with an honest feedback. I'm switch to the M&K world and this is the perfect top notch gear that I'm looking for. Pre-Order has been placed!!!
I recently placed an order for the 2HE. Personally, as a heavy MMO player I need all of the keys I can get for keybinds, but that rapid trigger feature caught my eye and has made me move off of my tried and trusty night typist or at least it will when the keyboard finally arrives. Also double props for the fact that this board freaking saves profiles in its own memory. The reason I bought the night typist was because it had on board programming. In my opinion, the next best thing is on board memory.

I can really tell a lot of thought and energy was put into making this video. You do great stuff Brian, and I really appreciate you.
Also, this keyboard looks SICK.
Thanks! I had a blast with this one. Awesome to see something really push the industry forward for a change
Even better, you can roast your opponents in chat while racing... XD
Such a amazingly thorough video! I feel like I know exactly what this is about without even holding one in my hand
Coming from the scientist himself, I’ll take that as a very high compliment! 😁🙏🏼
dope to see technological improvements like this in an age where it feels like a lot of stuff is plateauing on progression
while this board probably wouldn't fit my use case, i love to see wooting innovating and improving with their boards. keep it up yall!
This is the best no-nonsense tech vid I've seen around RUclips in ages. I learned a lot and I was interested the whole time.
🙏🏼🙏🏼 thanks brother. Sorry I didn’t hit you back yesterday, was filming all day
This review has sold me..... on the Wooting Two HE 😂 Finally, FINALLY someone makes a balls to the wall custom fullsize keyboard with some crazy mod potential.
This is insane, thank you so much. Incredible to see all the details we obsess over every day highlighted here.
❤️
What a BANGER review! i love that this thing is leading tech while also being as customizable as it is. Getting core badseedtech vibes on this and good to see you talking about the gaming space again. Great job B!
My man. Appreciate you
Sneaking the deathadder v3 pro in the vid 🧐 It's beautiful
Actually this might also be a game changer for the FGC. Fighting games also use "micro walk" inputs. Traditional arcade button switches like Sanwas are definitely not as refined as gaming keyboard switches.
the first few sections, you introduced some tech that topped steelseries and razer. this caught my attention. i was completely unprepared and quite literally dropped my jaw the moment i realized how customizable this board is, from plates, sounds dampening, etc. my jaw only returned to my face when i starting typing this. impeccable category introductions and possibly the most fitting title. amazing as always brian.
I’m just hoping that the custom keyboard community embraces the switch technology so that there are more options for switch type and sound
Just opened mine up today, upgrading from a Corsair K70 mini pro. Already in love and I can back the hype I keep seeing.
Good video.
4:12 wait a minute. That isnt the Viper V2 Pro.
Love the idea of using a browser to adjust settings to limit dumb software I need to run all the time
Same!
@@moonmessiah9368 understandable considering if the module already cost so much
@@underdoglucifer if you think about it thats where all the R&D is.
That’s a really common request. Wooting does have a habit of listening to stuff like that
Bro after watching I already wanted to buy it but I’m legit needing to buy IT the fact you can mod it on later is so nice they are pretty much ahead of everyone at the moment 😢❤ great review liked and subbed!
4:09 The new Deathadder V3?
I don’t think I’ve ever wanted a keyboard as badly as I do this one. Holy hell what a great job done by wooting. Great review man, you broke everything down and explained it all so well. Legit stoped the video halfway to go look up this board lol
9:00 is this stock stabs? which stabs would you take.... bcus wooting also said they have already tried to look for the best stabs in their vids
Those are the stock stabs yeah. The factory lube was ...generous lol. I honestly wouldn't even change them bc they fit the plate so well.
the only review that describes these modability features, some people dont even show u that u can lube it or remove the switches.
I'm just waiting for them to make a 75% version
For anyone seeing this video and wondering if they should pull the trigger, let me tell you this - I just plugged my 60HE in... and there is no other brand now. I genuinely cannot believe the quality that I've received out of the box, no further action needed on my end other than plug and play. Surreal, excellent S+ Tier product off the rip.
and we STILL dont have a 75%
Anyone else notice him using the unreleased Razer Deathadder V3 Pro? Timestamp at 4:08 into the video 🤯
But this was an amazing video as always @BadSeed Tech, hope to see more good stuff 👍
4:11
Hold up what do i see here ???
You see nothing lmao
The second wooting releases a 75% im handing them my wallet. I got the Wooting One years ago and it looks like they have learned so much as a company, while the Wooting One was a decent board, its nice to see that they learned from the slight downfalls of the One and improved upon their design.
4:10
deathadder v3 ?
You're the second techtuber I've seen that's SUPER hyped about the 60HE, it's fun to see something so good get released into the market 😁
I wish they'd release a 75% version
which switch opener do you use or can recommend?
You can use an mx style - even dirt cheap plastic ones. I use a very expensive Gateron opener but its not necessary
> 0.00000000001ms latency
More like ~0.5ms faster response time, on just switch level, not even accounting for firmware delays.
I don’t really get the south facing thing what does it really do?
Best? That's a huge statement, my man.
Best is highly subjective
@@leviathanpriim3951 Is it not Favourite is highly subjective?
Maybe watch the video before commenting num nuts
Huge statement indeed. Honestly feel like there’s nothing better out there at this point specifically for gaming
Also, really good video, man.
im glad i held off on buying a new keyboard. this looks great.
They finally did it! I have been waiting on a 60 from these guys for going on I think 3 years now. Shut up and take My money
This could be the best review you've ever made, BadSeed, and that is saying something. It may be because this is new tech and has a lot of depth, but man we're you thorough. Tech reviewing perfection right here, no cap at all.
Thanks a million. 🙏🏼 That means a lot fr
Definitely going on the shortlist for "to buy"
Thank you for showing it, well done
Keep it up! 🔥
Dude I've been dreaming of a solution for analog movement for mouse keyboard. I hope this becomes a common adoption.
I have the OG Wooting and I still adore it so much, the best goddamn keyboard software as well, available even on Linux.
I just want to say I was here before all the sponsors! I'm so glad to see you taking off Brian, you've been putting high quality content out from the fucking get go and I can't say how much I appreciate that enough. Awesome video, looking into getting one!
Tysm! 🙏🏼
@@badseedtech Hey do you have any plans to review the Epomaker FIrstblood B67? It's an interesting keyboard and I'm super curious to see if it sounds awful or not...
It's feels so good to be alive at this moment and SEE this!
"As of today..." *looks at bare wrist
That cracked me up great video
Overall really excellently done review!
high quality content, subscribed.
only thing i can really seem to say is the the stock acoustics are very scratchy
Looks dope!
No brainer… period. And as always, fantastic coverage. Concise, on point, and straight up smooove.
Awesome review and description as always..... looking forward to feeling the speed.
found the same thing with the tartarus pro. thumbstick style movement doesnt work well because your system treats it as a gamepad. meant using an actual gamepad for other games was a huge pain and meant you had to keep unplugging the tartarus over and over.
Genuinely wish you got more views than you do U deserve it U legend
Outstanding Review with an honest feedback. I'm switch to the M&K world and this is the perfect top notch gear that I'm looking for. Pre-Order has been placed!!!
I hope they make a TKL version of this, that would be perfect.
I've watched pretty much every keyboard video you've put out and THIS is finally the one you sold me on. I'm pretty partial to TKL though....
Very exciting video and board. Loved how genuinely hyped you were about the board and it's features and the in-depth breakdown. Best critic and reviewer in the game hands down
Honestly such a great review, production quality and showcase of all the new features in a way that is easily understandable 👍
Amazing review for an amazing looking product. I really want to get ahold of one now. Wish they made one in the 75% size that would get my money asap
Im damn near considering putting this bad boy in my blade60. this is a really compelling feature set
Do it.
No nonsense. Straight to the point. Subscribed. Reminds me of the old Linus.
