    Can we get an update? I’m loving these, you’re answering so many questions for me. I had no idea this treatment existed. I’m so encouraged about the possibility of my hair finally getting past my shoulders.

      Yes, I’m working on an update soon🩷 I’m going to do a check in and show my length since I touched up my hair the other week! I was just talking to my mom the other day about how happy I am and how long my hair has grown since JHS. You’ll definitely get past shoulder length in no time!! ✨

      Oh my goodness that’s great news! I don’t know why RUclips never notifies me about replies 😭 I’m glad you tried it, how have you been liking it so far?
      Also, I was able to film my touch up, but I still have to edit it sometime soon😅

    Finally found your channel again! I originally found you through your UH Manoa videos because I was looking for other black people who went to UH but I forgot to sub but the RUclips gods threw me a bone and I stumbled upon you again yay! I look forward to whichever video comes out next!

      Omg I remember you! The SLS major 💖💖 I’m still deciding what program to apply to post grad and SLS is still up there. I’m so glad the RUclips gods chose to be merciful for once lol. We have to meet up on campus sometime! I’m going to bring Rice Krispies for all my friends the first day of Fall semester, but if that’s not your thing let me know and I’ll bring you a different snack 🤗

    I’m currently in Korea and I’m going to get the Korean magic straight perm what’s the difference between this and the Japanese straight perm?

    I am look forward to your JHS touch up. I watched a few more videos from other RUclipsrs using the other main used brand LISCIO Crystal Cream and I was so shocked to know that one woman left the chemicals in her hair for 1 Hour 😱 Others have used hair conditioner during and or shortly after the process which will make your hair revert. I saying all this as I think it would be very useful for us interested in JHS and following the instructions to a T.
    I did watch the manufacturers video sometime ago and even though it is not in English you can copy translate and understand it with ease.
    My question is what clarifying shampoo and heat protection products do you use when you do you JHS? I found that all of the other Shiseido products used in the manufacturers video are very hard to find Europe. 😢 So it would be cool if you done done JHS essentials video.❤ 🙏🏾

      Thank you so much! I can’t believe there are people being this reckless with a chemical process. I’ve also seen people that used hair conditioner in between steps and I have no idea where they got that from. No licensed professional does this and no instructions say that, so of course it can mess up their results 😞 You’re right, we have to follow the instructions strictly especially if doing so at home where it’s all on us!!
      Thank you for the idea on the hair essentials video, I’ll be sure to add it to my queue! 🩷 I would use the Garnier Fructis Pure Clean Shampoo and my Giovanni No Frizz Hair Serum exclusively at first. Lately I haven’t been as strict with the shampoo and still got good results, but I’m still open to repurchasing that shampoo. I just wanted to use the ones I have open up. As long as it isn’t a stimulating shampoo (like anti dandruff or containing mentholated oils) I think it’s fine to use so long as you shampoo 2-3 times!

    😍Hi so I have a question can you dye your hair or not? Or you can but it might make your hair even weaker?

    • @itstawanza
      @itstawanza  Год назад

      Hello 🩷 You typically can’t dye your hair because hair dye uses hydrogen peroxide which this system also does and it can cause your hair to break off or melt. You can use peroxide-free hair rinses like Adore to tint your hair with no issues

    would you recommend going to a professional salon for the straightening treatment? is their process any different at all?

    • @itstawanza
      @itstawanza  2 месяца назад

      Sorry for the late reply, I would say going to a salon is exactly the same. If you have the budget I recommend you find a reliable salon with great client reviews for people with a similar hair type. I went to a Japanese salon near me and even though they don’t specialize in Afro textured hair, the stylist did great on that touch up, plus it was $250 which is cheaper than I hear on the mainland (continental US). I just don’t go anymore because that stylist moved back to Japan, I started doing it on myself those years ago anyway, and it’s cheaper to do it myself.
