Got a little teary eyed when you turned to show him sat there... I remember watching that day and have never been able to watch any footage since. I still haven't even seen the film, can't bring myself to. Though I now have a son named Ayrton.
Yeah... I was there in 2018. I also noticed the place was very quiet, but then you can hear the racing cars roar and fly by and after that it was all quiet and peaceful. I liked the contrast. The place was really something I want to go again someday.
Thank you so much for sharing your visit to the memorial of Ayrton Senna. When you first got to it, my breath was taken away. There was nothing there though, to commemorate the life of Roland Ratzenberger, which is a shame.
Hi Terry, wow what a video! I miss this great man and I want to see his memorial. How do I go about getting there? obv due to Covid I cant but when that is done how would you suggest getting there? I dont drive so dont have the luxury of that. I looked up flights it says planes would go from either of the London airports to Emilia Romanga airport. I looked on Google maps its a 40 minute drive but is there taxi's I could get to go to the track? or maybe could you suggest a certain train to catch? hope you can help me and thank you.
Hi, I simply drove there from the UK, across France and into Italy. Stopped off in Modena to visit both the Ferrari museums and took a tour of the factory, saw the F1 headquarters and stayed in an amazing hotel then drove to Imola as a day trip. Definitely the trip of a lifetime. Do it if you ever get the chance.
Nice video, looks a lot nicer than when I visited , no statue or anything, just flags etc tied to a fence alongside a load of wooden panels. I’ve always wanted to goto Zolder to visit the site where my own hero, Gilles Villeneuve died
@@BRITISHAERIALVIEWS Ayrton Senna is a great man to me. An example in every way. I hope also to visit Imola someday, but it will not be very soon. To visit the Morumbi cemetery in São Paulo is of course the biggest dream.
If you ever manage to get to Imola I can promise you that you will not be disappointed. I had the pleasure of seeing Ayrton qualifying at Silverstone in the UK 🇬🇧 back in 1992. I was there and in awe of Ayrton. He even waved in my direction while I was waving both arms frantically! 😂 So sad 😔 he died at Imola. I was watching the race live and saw the tragedy. Hope you're safe over there in Russia, how are things?

Senna spent pretty much all of his adult life in the UK. Great tribute 🇬🇧 🇧🇷
I was there in 2017. It is a very beautiful and such a quiet area. The memorial is definitely an emotional place for Ayrton fans.

30 years ago in the next few months. As Ayrton knew.. it was his Destiny. Respect
The man from another dimension.
What an excellent trip and tribute to the man. Thank you for doing this. I've always wanted to tour the European circuits. Maybe someday.
Thanks a lot for this video, we miss you Ayrton :-(, I hope to visit this place one day

Um dia eu gostaria de ir conhecer esse memorial. 🇧🇷
Спасибо Вам, Терри. Простое, но пронзительное видео. Личное. Как если бы я была там сама.
Hopefully I can get there one day.

F1 legend!
Will probably go there next April. Normally we were going last month but unforseen circumstances prevented our trip.
Thank you
thank you :)
Ayrton Senna 🏁🇧🇷
Senna forever.
I need to go here...
I’m not actually impressed with that memorial. I did expect something a bit more fitting to him. Thank you for showing this.
Very nice, thank you

I really envy you, have been to such a place.
Where do you live?
