What I love about Dimash is that he sounds exquisite at any range, which is incredible in and of itself. Also, his voice has so many colors and tone to it, not mentioning his vocal dynamics. His voice is soaring only to express his intense emotions, whether it’s a cry for help (SOS), a yearning (Samaltau), or to express pain or loss (The Story of One Sky). Dimash, being a composer himself (“Unforgettable Day”, The Story of One Sky, El Amor en Ti…) knows how the song he interprets must be delivered.
Indeed, Dimash does not use his vocal abilities to show off, but to serve the song: through his voice, he’s telling us a story. In short, he’s not only a masterful vocalist - It’s precisely thanks to his mastery that Dimash is able to freely dive, and tap, into his emotions; but also an amazing storyteller. Above all, he’s a soulful, genuine, passionate, and humble artist.
At last, know that Dimash is classically trained - he even declined a position as an opera singer when he was only 22, and has absolute pitch (a rare cognitive trait by the way) which was discovered when he was only 5 years old.

It’s in Russia. A-Studio are the original band who had a hit with the song in the late nineties. The original version is so different to the original. They are accompanying Dimash here on stage! Dimash is THE greatest vocalist of ALL time! Dimash’s own compositions are all masterpieces!
Ok, additional information from a Texas Dear (Dimash fan), This performance was in Sochi Russia in 2018 as a guest at the New Wave competition for young pop singers. He was famous from his performances in China at The I Am Singer competition for established professional singers in China. Dimash became recognized as a megastar at this competition. If you note the group of Chinese Dears at the beginning and their signs in Chinese, they flew in from China to see him perform in Sochi Russia. He has approximately 8 million Dears in China and about 3 million outside of China. This includes the Dimash USA fanclub which includes the DimashTexas Dears as a chapter. All clubs worldwide are growing and dedicated to promoting Dimash's career and goals of charity and world peace. He is not your average singer. The fan clubs have done a lot to help spread Dimash's work. For example, the "Dimash Fanclub Germany" has produced modified versions of his performances in the Chinese "I Am Singer" competition in 2017 to have subtitles in 4 added languages. The Chinese version had only Chinese characters.
Another fan (Zominion) has dug into this specific video and digitally removed the glitch during the massive slide up near the end of the song. It sounds like they error corrected it rather than just removing the bad section, as it is very smooth, which would require a deep read of the mp4 video/audio frames. These groups have some skills and devotion.
There are a substantial number of Devoted "Dears", Fan-base in Canada, and many travel to Dimash Live Concerts around the world. And, a substantial number of Devoted "Dears," Fan-base in Australia/New Zealand, who also travel around the world to attend Dimash Live Concerts. It is a thrill and an awesome experience to attend a Dimash live concert. As a long-time "Dear" (almost 6 years), I attended Dimash's First USA Concert held at Barclays in NYC, (Arnau-Envoy) 10-December-2019. There are not enough "praising" adjectives in the English language to describe being in the audience for a Dimash Live Concert performance. I personally believe that Dimash is a Music Virtuoso in our time. I am very glad to be around at a time, to enjoy his musicality / performances.

The yodel sound he makes with his voice in this piece is Kazakh throat singing. This one is a chant of mourning he inserted as tribute to a deceased member of this beloved Kazakh band. They were moved as we're the many in the audience who recognized it and so well received it remains in his performance.

He has several other great performances of this song on RUclips, each with something to commend it. But this particular performance is special because of the attendance of the tall bald guy in the white shirt seen giving him a standing ovation. Igor Krutoy was a retired Ukrainian billionaire music producer and song writer who was so blown away by this performance that he came out of retirement to work with Dimash. This collaboration resulted in some of the best music ever. One Krutoy arrangement I would like to recommend (my favorite) is Love is Like a Dream. It is also in Russian.

This epic performance was a Tribute concert for the popular band, A'Studio to celebrate an anniversary of their achievements. The concert was in 2018 as part of the New Wave Music Festival in Sochi, Russia, an annual Summer event. Dimash recomposed an old hit of the band to cover. The original lead singer had past away a few years ago due to a chronic illness. This performance was in tribute to him. A'Studio is like The Moody Blues, a band since the 70s. And they've adapted to the music trends over the years to still be relevant. Three of the musicians are part of the original band that are accompanying Dimash. Guitarist, bassist, and pianist. The pianist composed Sinful Passion.

I attended his first solo concert in the USA, at the Barclay Center in New York back in 2019. It was a sold out event where fans from over 60 countries came together to hear this amazing young man. Greetings from the UK. I have never been a fan of any single person in all my 70 plus years until I heard Dimash a couple of years ago. I have to listen to him every day. I love his Music. It is so diverse and whatever you listen to next will blow you away. There are so many great songs but a few of my favourites are Olympico, SOS, Stranger. And Across Endless Dimentions. Great reaction, and I hope you do more Dimash as he has millions of fans in all countries. When he held his concert in New York he had fans from 54 countries attending. That’s some fan base. Dimash was performing here in Russia, where he is also well loved. Kazakhstan was part of the USSR until gaining their independence in 1991 and most Kazakhs speak both languages. Dimash is also a Cultural Ambassador for his country and presents many great songs in his own language, some he has composed himself. Many of his videos showcase the great beauty of Kazakhstan. Dimash's vocal skills rest on a solid bedrock of: 1st: Great Genetics { both parents are well regarded singers in Kazakhstan } and 2nd: Great Training; In classical voice, musical theatre, popular and every other genre!
His vocal skills are remarkably advanced for his age because:
- he commenced his musical and vocal training from the age of 5
- his family made sure he had access to the best teachers in the land and
- he practices daily { most people around Dimash report that he 'is' music, that he is constantly singing, humming, creating, composing }
And, yes, you are right; he works on his core strength, physical fitness, including diaphragm and lung capacity, and every other aspect in order to support his vocal instrument.

Thank you for your reaction! Dimash’s talent is mind blowing 🤯 A'Studio was invited by Igor Krutoy to participate (individual concert) in the 2018 edition of the New Wave festival. Igor Krutoy, the man in white shirt giving his standing ovation, invited Dimash to participate in this festival in the same year. "Sinful Passion" was created in 1998. This is how the song was performed, exactly in the 20th anniversary of this song. It speaks of greater love, greater loss, greater despair, greater desire, greater passion. The loss or lack of this love, in Dimash's interpretation, has the dimension of a loss of life, which one is very anxious to restore. In place of the original purely pop instrumental part (inserts), Dimash included (after the last chorus) his vocalize, a stylized onomatopoeic (like a lament) eastern ornament and the words "дай мне, дай" (give me, give me) with a 23-second melismatic on the last syllable, which is not a simple substitute for a pop musical theme, but an extension of the story sung earlier in words. ❤️🎤🔝🌹🌹👏👏👏

Dimash is a 28-years old singer from Kazakhstan and believe me, you’ve seen nothing at all. In my opinion you have discovered the best singer in the world. He has perfect pitch and currently has a vocal range of 7,7 octaves (vocal fry C1 (B0) - whistle D8 off the piano). That means he hits notes in almost 8 octaves and sings consistently in 6 octaves. Not in one song (mostly😅). At least what he has shown us so far. He plays several instruments like piano, dombra (a kazach instrument), drums, marimba and more. He has classical as well as contemporary vocal training and sings in different genres from opera to pop, jazz, Kazakh folk, ballads and he even raps a bit. And often he skillfully mixes several genres in one song. And meanwhile in more than 10 languages. The latest songs (from Tokyo Jazz Festival in November 2021) are Ikanaide in Japanese and at his concert in Almaty on September 23, 2022 he sang a new song in Spanish (about 7 languages in one concert!).
Many of my favorite songs are in his native tongue. He is a nice, respectful and humble person. He respects people regardless of their origianal, religion or profession. He truly loves his homeland Kazakhstan and his people with all his heart and always shows it with pride in many of his songs, concerts and interviews. During his concerts in Dubai, Düsseldorf and Prague in 2022, before he performed his song War And Peace, he told the audience he loves all people in every country. And I absolutely believe this. His concert in September 23, 2022 was in his hometown Almaty, it was so amazing and it lasts almost 4 hours. Believe it or not but he really gets better and better. Every time you think you know him and his art, you realize your so wrong.
He said in an interview he trains every day at least 3 hours and he swims under water very often to increase his lung capacity. He's a singer you can't put in any box. He sings almost every genre there is. Every time you watch a video, expect the unexpected. Even the covers he sings he makes his own and brings elements into the song that you would never expect. Don't be surprised if you get suggestions for songs you may have already seen. Dimash has different versions of many of the same songs. They are all worth seeing. Not only is he perfect at singing and performing, he's also an incredibly good actor. Check out his music videos. They are amazing. You think I’m exaggerating? No, I don’t think so😄.

SOS is a song in the rock-opera „Starmania“ from 1978. The first who presented this song was the French singer and songwriter Daniel Balavione.
SOS was the first performance of the China competition (in 2017) and was his first appearance in this show. The Singer is a show in China where only established singers are invited to perform. All the singers invited to this show are already well-known artists in China who have already won awards. Dimash was invited as the first foreigner as a wild card and the youngest in the history of this show. They became aware of him because he had already won some important competitions in Kazakhstan and Belarus, among others. He was still completely unknown in China. Actually, it was intended that he would only have 1 or 2 appearances. But it came completely different. When he woke up the next morning after his first performance of SOS he was a megastar in China and even found bodyguards outside his hotel room. SOS’ first video had 600 million views when it aired. He was just 22 years old at the time.

The way I found to celebrate the majesty of Dimash's talent was to have written the following about him: If I were to rule the world, I would immediately add, to the universal declaration of human rights, another article (they would become 31) whose wording would next "All human beings have the right, at least once in their lives, to hear Dimash sing". I am a Professor and I believe that I have a special profession that allows me to transform the human heart and consequently the human society. I work with young people and young people need to have good references. I had been looking for someone for a long time, of whom I could speak to the young people I work with, as a good reference. That person should be young, a super talent, a super mega star in the art world and above all, because he is the most important, a good human person. I searched and never found anyone with these characteristics. Until, finally, I found this person and that person is Dimash. Sinful Passion - The story behind this song is very interesting: The band that accompanies Dimash is the same one that composed the song, without the singer who died after a heart attack! The band is also from Kazakhstan and this performance by Dimash revitalized the song. In addition, the final part he added, with an oriental technique. The song was originally performed in 1998 and the band's name is A'Studio (Russian-based Kazakhstani pop music group, "Alma-Ata Studio", city of Almaty). Dimash is a musical genius singer, multi instrumentalist, and composer. He is very highly musically educated and extraordinarily talented. He became professional in 2010 at the age of 16 but had been performing on stage and TV since the age of 5. He holds huge stadium concerts throughout the world and has millions of fans and fanclubs in most countries of the planet.

Welcome to the wonderful world of Dimash! The reason that he can sound so mature and skilled at 24 years old is that he began his musical studies at age 5 and both of his parents are singers. So you were hearing someone who had been practicing for about 19 years! Dimash (you said his name perfectly) sings in many genres and often mixes them. He also sings in many languages (he speaks 3: Kazakh, Russian and quite a bit of English). If you look on his channel you will find many amazing songs to choose from, often quite different from each other. Dimash has composed several songs but usually has others write the lyrics. Welcome to the wonderful world of Dimash! This was indeed a cover of a song by A Studio, a Kazakh Russian pop group. By that time, the lead singer had been dead for a while. Dimash added his own twist to the original, as he always does for covers. You can see it in All by Myself (Singer 2017), Hello (Singer 2018), and of course his flagship song SOS d’un terrien en détresse from any of his many versions.
One of his early compositions is Unforgettable Day (composed at age 17), which he renders differently every time. The one version you simply must listen to is the one from the Gakku concert where he inadvertently sang a D8 (the note beyond the right side of the piano)!
After Dimash revolutionized and pushed the boundaries of the art of singing, he now innovates in the performance of singing by expanding the art of music videos in The Story of One Sky and in the integration of technology in El Amor en Ti. Both songs are composed by Dimash himself, and premiered at his Almaty concert in September 2022 (which I was fortunate to witness).
