Dimash is using his talent & fame to promote love, peace, understanding, kindness, unity.
Most of his songs are about love (, not just romantic but different kinds of love).
War and Peace is his composition, he first sang it in 2017.
Now he has an epic antiwar song "The Story of One Sky" with a music video like a mini movie.
He starte to write it 3 years ago, he composed the music, sang every part (just saying in any case to prepare you, cos you did not hear what he is capable of vocally yet) , wrote the script and played the protagonist. You must react to it! The visuals , the story distract from his unbelievable singing that along with the music & the movie theatre level cinematography serving the message, telling the story, the song works like a soundtrack, equally important with the images.

He sings in many, or any genres, styles he wants, in 13 languages. We never know what to expect next. And he always improves, always brings something new...

He composed the music for this, the lyrics by a Taiwanese lyricist. Now writing his Doctoral thesis for a PhD in Musicology in composing and filling global arenas.
Dimash is from Kazakstan ,29 years old in May and he can sing everything from opera to pop. His range is more then 7 octaves and he sings in 15 language but speaks Russian, Kazakh and English. He is an amazing singer and a wonderful person. I hope you will listen to more of his songs.

We all love this song, so not a terrible choice by any means, but certainly an odd choice lol. Your observations were spot on and very astute. Dimash is very emotionally affected by the wars at current, and its clear. The crystal clear falsetto voice he uses throughout is meant to represent the innocent souls of the children who get caught in the crossfire and other innocent people who havent had the chance to live a proper life. Its truely artistic stuff. SOS would be a great start, but you might prefer the style of this song a bit more.

This is a very unusual video to start the journey with Dimash. But you can see right away what is most important to him and what he stands for. He wrote this song and sings in Mandarin.
He sang this song on his digital concert in January 2021 during the pandemic. He had to cancel his tour and did this concert for his Dears/fans. That’s why there was no audiende to be seen or heard.
So thank you for discovering Dimash and welcome to a beautiful world of music.
Dimash is a 28-years old singer from Kazakhstan and believe me, you’ve seen nothing at all. In my opinion you have discovered the best singer in the world. He has perfect pitch and currently has a vocal range of 7,7 octaves (vocal fry C1 (B0) - whistle D8 off the piano). That means he hits notes in almost 8 octaves and sings consistently in 6 octaves. Not in one song (mostly😅). At least what he has shown us so far. He plays several instruments like piano, dombra (a kazach instrument), drums, marimba and more. He has classical as well as contemporary vocal training and sings in different genres from opera to pop, jazz, Kazakh folk, ballads and he even raps a bit. And often he skillfully mixes several genres in one song. And meanwhile in more than 10 languages. The latest songs (from Tokyo Jazz Festival in November 2021) are Ikanaide in Japanese and at his concert in Almaty on September 23, 2022 he sang a new song in Spanish (about 7 languages in one concert!).
He sings no mainstream and is a completely independent artist. He has his own company „DimashAli Creative Center“ and is managed by his father Kanat. Maybe that’s the reason you never heard of him yet. He doesn’t sell his soul to a music label. He doesn’t want to be dictated by money when he has to sing what, when, where and how.
Many of my favorite songs are in his native tongue. He is a nice, respectful and humble person. He respects people regardless of their original, religion or profession. He truly loves his homeland Kazakhstan and his people with all his heart and always shows it with pride in many of his songs, concerts and interviews. During his concerts in Dubai, Düsseldorf and Prague in 2022, before he performed his song War And Peace, he told the audience he loves all people in every country. And there are no bad nations (only bad leaders). And I absolutely believe this.
His concert in September 23, 2022 was in his hometown Almaty, it was so amazing and it lasts almost 4 hours. Believe it or not but he really gets better and better. Every time you think you know him and his art1, you realize your so wrong.
He's very spiritual and thankful for the gift God has given him. But he also works very hard to improve his vocal skills.
He said in an interview he trains every day at least 3 hours and he swims under water very often to increase his lung capacity. He's a singer you can't put in any box. He sings almost every genre there is. Every time you watch a video, expect the unexpected. Even the covers he sings he makes his own and brings elements into the song that you would never expect. Don't be surprised if you get suggestions for songs you may have already seen. Dimash has different versions of many of the same songs. They are all worth seeing. Not only is he perfect at singing and performing, he's also an incredibly good actor. Check out his music videos. They are amazing. You think I’m exaggerating? No, I don’t think so😄.

Stranger was performed in Sochi, Russia in 2021 at the New Wave singer competition. Dimash was there as a jury member.
The song was written by Igor Krutoy. He is a famous Russian/Ukrainian composer, producer and songwriter. He has come out of retirement to work with Dimash. You’ll often see him accompanying Dimash on the piano. The two have no contract. Their cooperation is based more on mutual trust. It’s more like a father/son relationship. Stranger is another masterpiece that Igor Krutoy wrote especially for Dimash’s vocal skills.

Welcome to the world of Dimash! There is so much to hear. I salute your openness to new things. I'm 80 years old and I'm still discovering new music, art, people and places, history, stuff I never knew before, and life is amazing. Enjoy every minute of it.
My recommendations for Dimash:
SOS - There are many versions, but I like the "I Am a Singer" Chinese singing competition best, mainly to watch everyone's reactions to him. The show is a competition among established, popular Chinese singers. He was invited to be on the show when someone had to drop out at the last minute. (He had won some competitions in his homeland, Kazakhstan, as well as in Russia.) He was the youngest and first foreign participant ever, and no one knew what to expect. He blew them all away.
Sinful Passion (Sochi version - watch to the end) - Vocal fireworks and a glimpse into his personal character.
Love is Like a Dream (version where he's wearing a purple velvet tuxedo) - Unbelievable vocal, and emotional expression. (My personal favorite.)
Be With Me (Official Music Video) - So much fun: Michael Jacson vibes, rapping, martial arts, etc.
