    Yes, I agree with you, a thought in an instant can rise to heaven and descend to hell, depending on who the thinker is.
    The lyricist reports what he sees in his view of "his world", while Dimash gives us his soul with passion, calling for justice and peace in the world, regardless of the lyrics, sometimes it may not satisfy more demanding interpretations like yours and those of many who hear him. How many variations of thoughts and feelings are present in each being that listens to this music, and everyone in their seasonal particularities has their impressions, their perceptions. People are fragile, vulnerable and their weaknesses prevent them from directing their wills and they do not turn within to uncover the veil of ignorance that prevents them from knowing themselves, resulting in the surrender of their precious lives and their destinies to those around them. executioners who operate in this world.
    The world really needs healing, but those who build this world are the people who are sick, closed in their little world, their "private bubble" with their fears, afflictions, torments, anguish, guilt, grudges, harmful energies that spill into the environment contaminated it indefinitely.
    No one changes the world externally if they do not first change themselves internally., as they say in Buddhism, "Be the change you would like to see in the world" because life is not just about battles. You need peace to be able to live and flourish.

    I agree with your reaction totally. It does make the point however about war for what good reason? War, like you mentioned in history, was never about having peace, it's always been about greed, depopulation and stealing other's lands and resources, but they've convinced the public since WW1 that it's about patriotism and protection from who they make out to be the bad guys. It's time for ALL people to learn the truth take responsibility to and say "enough" and vote in leaders that take action to get along and help each other, for all of our benefit which I know is the intention and dear Dimash is one of the few that is unafraid to face the topic of war and make a statement in a beautiful and engaging song! Thanks for making YOUR statement!

    Your reflections on this topic are very interesting, thank you. My uderstanding is that Dimash when composed this song, he gave some insight to the person who wrote the lyrics about what he wanted to say. Whether she got it right or not I can't say.
    I personally do not understand peace as something passive, at all. Just as to make war, you have to take action, to make peace you also have to take action, modifying the conditions that would lead to war.
    Is it superficial this lyrics? It may be, but I have to admit that personally it resonates with me anyway. Maybe because of my Catholic upbringing, I do believe in Evil and Good, and the notion that there has been a conflict between evil and good since there has been humans on this earth is very familiar. I think that this clash is waged in the world because, basically, it is waged within each person, at every moment.
    The lyrics of this song list pairs of opposites (ice/fire, understanding/misunderstanding, good/evil, love/hate, etc.). that in the end, reminds us that we have countless moments in our everyday life where we choose to feed peace or feed war. You don't have to go kill someone, sometimes the option is simply between saying something hurtful or keep your mouth shut. The final answer/ultimate solution dwels in a "blink of the heart", that instant when you make your choice.

      thanks for your comment. I don't really want to dive down the religion rabbit hole. I mean inaction may not be the best word, but clash and conflict doesn't seem to fit the bill either. Last I checked Jesus didn't order his followers to gather his believers to use force to resolve or diminish any conflict, and the most direct action he has done at the moment is compliance and ask for forgiveness on their (his captor's) behalf? which is quite different between clash between good and evil. for which action/active's direct antonym is passive.. did Jesus do anything that clashes and more specifically aggressively clash against evil in nature? Given my limited knowledge he either brings about good or directly sends evil away, there is no battle or clash at all right? and last I check what he said what I am you can do/be and better?

      I‘m not religious, but I agree that the road to peace is very active. Someone has to fight his urge for revenge first and convince the other.
      It’s more difficult than to plot how to fight back. As weird as it sounds.
      And I truly believe that most conflicts are based on fear. That might be because of missing resources. But mostly it’s misunderstandings. People create totally unreal pictures of the other party and vilify everyone. That’s the only way how they can fight them.
      I love this song. And the reactor has missed the point. This is not a how to. It’s a plead to start the process that leads to peace. 😉

    • @TPACasual
      @TPACasual  2 месяца назад +1

      @@EllaSilentDragon Too much subjective ideas that it is hard to address. I assure you when a much more powerful force run over a smaller power it is not due to any misunderstanding or fear as we think about the words today. But resource, power, and ideology. Fear and ignorance plays a part in many wars sure. I specifically touched upon those. As for this is not a how to, but a plead to start. If that's your interpretation that makes it extremely shallow of a song since plead toward peace is about as common a theme in all arts/literature/philosophy since the dawn of time.
      The word active i use refers to more external action. As for someone has to fight his urge, that's kind of the issue and problem. I think most don't need to fight the urge to not cannibalize or decapitate someone that annoyed them or they "misunderstand", since we are already risen above that. Peace is compassion that is simply a higher state of mentality than battling. War in the name of peace is probably one of the craziest ideas. What was it Einstein said, that you can't solve a problem at the same mental level that created it? For war to truly disappear humanity needs to rise above it that the very notion is insane. That's not a how to, but a requirement, which the song doesn't touch upon. If It just conveys a plead like:
      "hey guys we need more peace not war", wow, what a novel idea. How about some insight regarding what is actually needed for that to happen. And like sleep, if you are actively trying, you are failing. We don't exactly try to fight off the urge to see in reality grown men cut each other to pieces (if you do then that's a problem) since we elevated above that. So I don't think I missed the point. The song is just inadequate. There are much more influential pleads from much more influential figures. Intellectually we already get it, spiritually we are not there yet, is there a way to reflect on that and accelerate that? again, the song doesn't touch upon.

      @@TPACasual Sorry, i never should have commented on this thread, since I don’t really have the urge to fight you on your philosophy. That is time of my life I could spend listening to Dimash.
      I felt a little angry that you decided to nitpick on a song, that is very well intentioned from one of the nicest people on this planet. Someone whose philosophy leads to him sacrificing much time, effort and money to help others and influence people through his art and his exemplary behavior!
      I won’t come back to your channel, because I‘m not interested in this kind of hateful content.
      I‘m not saying you should change. Since I respect that you have put much thought into your analysis. But there is a certain kind of audience you reach with this kind of content. And if those are the people you want to attract, then you’re doing the right thing.
      If not I hope this comment helps you to think who you want to spend your time with.
      Sorry if I upset you! 😅

    • @TPACasual
      @TPACasual  2 месяца назад +1

      @@EllaSilentDragon disagreement doesn't mean upset and good intentions doesn't mean the effort and result from that intention is perfect and can't be improved upon. I don't think I have said a single thing negative regarding intention behind the song. There is a reason they say road to hell is paved with good intentions. Good intentions is a pre-requisite and it alone is not enough. What comes after intention can be good, bad, and neutral. Lastly, ability to listen to critique and have a dialog and not being rigid is pretty important. "I don't like this other perspective so I'll either aggressively attack it or passively flee from it instead of reflecting on ideas or counter any points" is fairly dangerous. You either go up in thought, or go downward, there is no constant straight line.
      A lot of Dimash fans are board lining fanatics instead of realizing he is one in a billion genius with heart of gold, but still a human whose music should inspire reflection and thought on top of admiration. I see way many who only have admiration in mind.
      "I don't have the urge to fight you on philosophy", see the issue? I see just different perspectives and ideas that can be shared. A dialog, while you see "fight", "combat". Remember your comment always reveal more about yourself than anything else.

    Well, to me, love is an action word, people say they love all day, but if you don’t see proof, or if you don’t see the qualities, the actions that come from love, then love is not truly there.
    The world is sick, the world has wicked leaders.
    I think Dimash’s
    “The Story of One Sky,” is more of what Dimash wants to convey about war and peace.
    Interesting, translations, cultures from different nations, people often mean more than what’s on the surface.
    To me, it is misunderstanding, our politics our news media both of our main political parties, use propaganda to psych people into wars.
    Leaders who use propaganda to get the everyday persons to see others as enemies and we as potential victims that only the political methods of certain politicians can save us from.

    Unfortunately we use a lot of words connected to war, conflict... It is kind of a mindset that we are not aware most of the time...
    Once I read that the contrary of love is not hate, it is fear. So intolerance is fear... And try to understand one another is a way to walk towards peace...
    I like your thoughts very much. You were the only person that was sad about revenge in The Story of One Sky just like me...

      @@TPACasual In that video, for me, the soldier loses his soul with revenge... He chooses violence, represented by the storm... He loses the chance to be with his son and his wife, he kills the one who saved him and returns to the same place (the water). It's a big defeat... His son's choice for peace is victory...
      I find it interesting that people don't see this, even seeing how Dimash always stands for tolerance, for peace, always praising the fact that his fans don't make a difference between themselves and always being outraged by deaths in war.
      I think the big problem is the way we always see life dichotomously, in two isolated and opposing parts. Good and bad. The trope of the lone hero who takes revenge is so present in pop culture that people see no other option...
      I've been watching your reactions to Dimash since the first video... I've been studying a little Mandarin and I really enjoy understanding the nuances of the lyrics... Thank you!

    I don't think you're weird at all, individual - yes, interesting - yes, analitical -yes.
    The lyrics often lose meaning in translation. Also Dimash doesn't write his own lyrics especially as the songs are not in his native language but also they might not be his strong suite. Regardless, it often is impossible to translate one's thoughts and feelings into words, so the main message and sentiment is communicated through Dimash' incredible vocals and the music, the lyrics are secondary.

    Earth is in one current cycle of many millions of years of cycles, where civilizations have started and grown to the point where greed and power struggles began and manifested, then destroyed most or all of life, and started over again in a similar pattern.
    In this one, the Satan and his hord lost a heavenly battle and was cast down into this environment, where he was introduced to the first Man that was made in God's Image, and in his jealousy for ownership of that Image, he manipulated circumstances and the man and his woman, and seeded the man killer Cain bloodline who are the elites and Royals of today. These create and manipulate wars to finance their existence and to keep populations in check and have numbers drop periodically by culling through war mongering and creating fake viruses.
    This song is about who will get past warring and enter instead into peace and love. But it does not address the real cause, because the elites keep it hidden from sight and teach mankind that war is the way to peace.

      of course, that's the difficulty and for now, almost impossible part. forget family, to protect an innocent stranger against criminals one would often need to turn to violence. So if we look at this from this zoomed in perspective it absolutely makes sense this is really the only way and the "correct" way. But then we zoom out to the whole of humanity, are these the fastest way or the right thing? if everyone that's good turns the other cheek or behaves like a Buddhist monk. There will be untold amount of injustice in the short to mid run, but would human as a whole get to another level even just 50 years faster? (which alone would spare god knows how many lives and suffering). Shrugs. We not that wise to know so one day at a time.

    Sorry, I don't know your nationality so I don't know if you know Mandarin or not, but if you do, a literal translation of the text into English with some explanation of the meaning behind the Chinese text would help a lot, as there can be a significant difference between the message conveyed in Chinese and its English translation. There can be inaccuracies that change everything. It would be very helpful to get to the real meaning of the text. As it is, the translation only gives a general idea of what the author meant and may not be entirely accurate. I respect your analysis, but analyzing a translation is not the same as analyzing the original text. Translation is secondary. Thank you😊❤

      @@TPACasual OK, that's helpful, thank you. Although, why then not comment on the original text with the explanation in English? Like pronouncing the Chinese word, than giving its English equivalent, than saying something about its additional meaning or connotation (every word or almost has these), etc. That would have enriched so much your philosophical discourse and made it a subject for discussion. Like in my language the word for 'peace' also means 'inner world', spirituality. That was so much more necessary with this particular song, which music was created by Dimash, and he purposely chose Chinese to convey its meaning. Because, listening to you, I had the feeling the Chinese lyricist didn't do a good job, which is regretful, even though this is just your own opinion😕

    • @TPACasual
      @TPACasual  2 месяца назад

      @@irenevassileva5586 I did. At points where I thought the difference in translation is large or interesting enough to merit attention. such as.. at "a blink of a heart" I would insert some comments. For the most part the translation is okay enough not to warrant nitpicking everything. (as in any improvement in translation won't address any of the point i made) The issue i had, isn't due to in adequate translation, just lyric itself, otherwise I would pointed it out. For example, one of my main critique, understanding and misunderstanding, is exactly what the original lyric says also. So I address the lyric itself, not the translation or mistranslation of the lyrics.
      Comment on every little difference in translation would mostly be nitpicking, and a lot of it just improves elegance of translation, not meaning. hypothetical example:
      Original lyric: she stands wistfully in the rain. (but each word in Chinese and a bit deeper)
      English translation u guys got: she stands in the rain, feels a sense of longing;
      if i were to translate: she stands pensively in the train, each drop of water, a memory of melancholy.
      now, would my translation be closer or dare i say, better? I like to hope so since I would try to convey both meaning and feeling to the same level. but in this particular case meaning doesn't change much / is translated over well enough. Basically if you understood Chinese as well as anyone, u would think the same points. In your language the word peace also means inner world, in Chinese there are many words for peace, the one the original lyric happen to use, just directly translates to peace, so.. there is nothing for me to talk about in that regard. The meaning of the translation as a whole is accurate enough, the feel could always be better, but if i focus on that this would be a 2 hour video.

    I think it’s kept a little obscure so as not to call anyone out in an obvious way. Unfortunately human ego and the myriad perceptions there of could be problematic or cause someone or practice to be called out . This might have been the safest way to address war in general without offending whine trying to call the human heart .
    I’d love to see someone do a proper English version and then him sing it in English . Typically , predominantly English speaking people tend to be more open to blunt where as in some parts of the world it might be taken as crude .
    This song is essentially an anthem of mine but for me , I can associate it in more than one way .
    I’m really glad you did this !
    I also agree .
    I’m not sure where I fit in the world spiritually but I’m very comfortable with Buddhism and can fund common ground within the 3 Abrahamic religions others simply don’t see .
    I was the kid in theology that drove my teachers nuts .
    Also -seems like the song is two sides of one issue ( think two faces on a coin -front and back ).
    I also think the term “ war /warrior “ needs to go away especially in common phrases. The notion anyone would be a “ warrior for Christ “ is mind boggling to me .
    I currently live with Hindus . In my case -way easier .
    As for Africa or even cartels -it’s definitely territorial and in some cases quite tribal .
    Greed and exploitation are difficult to address .
