Honestly, my favorite thing about the 6a is not the battery life, sound quality, or camera (although it is super impressive), but rather the amount of QoL features it has compared to other android phones. Things like call screening, live captioning, magic eraser, and live transcripting in the recorder app are super minor yet super useful when you do need them. It's really cool
*Since when did wireless charging become a thing for around 300$?* Also, the display goes up to 1100nits and has great colours. The performance, cameras & UI are top notch too.
Wireless charging is just a battery killer either way, if you're planning on using your phone for a while wireless charging will make you have to get a battery swap
I've had my 6a for three months now. It has been pretty solid for me. My only complaint has been the battery life; but I will keep it on battery saver mode once in a while and that helps. For $299 I can't really expect much more. Really solid camera, nice Google features. Thumbs up 👍
What do you do on your phone? You should know that this phone is centered around camera and not gaming performance. So if you play games a lot(idc if you play light or heavy games just tell me how much you play games on it) it obviously will lose battery fast.

I just purchased 2x , one for the wife and the other for myself. the phone is excellent for $300 bucks. Even beter when you can trade-in to 7a when the time comes.
Why 90% of this is this a general informative video of pixel 6a and not a 6 month review, we already know what it is, what we came to know here is how it is performing and working after 6 months. C'mon stop wasting our time.
I got it... 6a almost immediately started overheating, like, shutting down overheating... wasn't doing video or anything demanding, didn't even have it in a case. Tried altering the setting which supposedly 'fixed' this problem. Still overheated. It was returned. How can reviews not discuss this issue in detail?
Got my 6a with a trade in on an old samsung & black friday deal for £61.00 . Loving my pixel 6a , added a pair of pixel buds pro & could not be happier . I have had no issues with the fingerprint sensor & no glitches , battery is fine for my usage , 60hrz is more than adequate . Phones are tools not life support machines . I will keep the phone until the end of its life . Brilliant phone & just the right size & does everything i need for a great price . I love it when my friends with their £1000 phones from you know who ask to have a look at my 6a & watch their reaction 🤣
I love my 6a it's my 4th pixel phone. I switched from iphone to the pixel phone's. It was hard at first, now I can't imagine using anything else. Google does drive me crazy sometimes though. I waited a little while I'm case they made 2 phones and canceled them. They have a bad habit of dropping projects and in general doing things that don't make sense. Well, to me and allot of Google costumers.
I own it and agree with everything. Pleasant to hold, beautiful and well built. The screen is normal, colors are good and the animations smooth. Good audio, even with headphones, and no croaks. Charging is very slow, but the autonomy is good and pretty well managed. The camera is good, expecially in videos, although the photography is ALL computational given the older sensor. It's not a very powerful phone, and some bugs can happen, but overall it's clean and reliable. If it heats up, it's rare and little. The fingerprint sensor is the worst I've ever tried. Anyway, for 300 dollars it's very good: anyone who buys a pixel knows why they do it.
If the 6a's fingerprint it's the worst you ever tried, give a shot to the xiaomi mi9t . Then the pixel one's will be the best you ever tried. My experience 😂.

I'm currently using a pixel 5a 5g and it's great, especially in battery life and camera performance. I thought about upgrading to the pixel 6a but I guess it's not that much of an upgrade; same camera hardware, similar display, faster but less effecient chipset and the pixel 5a is still promised to get software updates for more than a year. I guess i might updrage to the 7a when it drops to similar prices to the 6a.
Using it for past two months. No heating issues found, amazing battery life, fast UI, great software experience. No need to talk about camera. 60hz doesn’t bother me as my previous phone was also 60hz. So glad that i bought this phone.
My only qualm would be the battery. Here in India, where majority of the population rely on mobile data for their daily internet, I am skeptical as to how will it hold up on a normal usage. But I just cannot fathom charging this device more than two times a day should I decide to stress this device. Great review, nonetheless!! 👍
Your correct. It's s wonderful phone. It really is. However, the battery life is a bit of a worry. If your someone that is just constantly using the phone with social media, and navigation, and videos, you may need to charge twice for sure. I'm a medium user and by after 8 hours I'm at about 40%.

Love my 6a. Got it on Black Friday for £299, but got £149 trade-in for my Pixel 4a. So it was a no-brainer really. It does everything I need it to do and more. The camera is amazing for a phone at this price.

The 6a's trade in might be high only if you are trading in for another google phone. On Apple/Samsung, the 6a has been out less than one year and its trade in is already less than $200; the iphone 12 which is almost a 3 year old phone, has a trade in of $300.

Love the phone. $200 from Xfinity! As a matter of fact, dropped my first one and cracked the screen😢 it was !$180 to replace screen so I ordered a new 6a for $200 from Xfinity❤. I am not a power user, but battery is just bad on all Pixels 6 and 7. I'll stay on the 6 until the 8 comes along. If they fix battery on 8 that's my next phone, if not i will have to change.
At $299, it is worth it. Not at $450 launch price though. 1:50 the main issue with 6a display is not the 60Hz refresh rate, which is over blown by youtubers. It is the white balance. It is a tad too warm and there is no way we can adjust it.
I really am fan of the Boxy Look. Can't afford S Ultra now. So I'm eyeing on it but I need to play 1-2 Hour of Genshin Impact, without destroying the Phone in the process.
I keep holding on to my one plus 6 even though I need an update pretty bad. The one reason I haven't been able to buy a new phone is the audio jack. Pixel 6a & 7 are excellent phones, but I just can't make the decision to buy one because of the lack of an audio jack; and the zenfone 9 doesn't have long-term support from android. But if things don't change in the next few months, I might have to start getting used to the wireless buds.
I just got this phone on Amazon for $299 about a week ago, everything is good except the battery goes down a little fast and it takes about 2 hours to charge when it's 40% or lower besides that I would say this phone is a good bang for the buck
Yeap - switched 3 days ago from apple, saying good bye to aaplewatch vs garmin, iphone 13 vs pixel 6, macbookaiir vs surface ….I has spend few hours on YT how Android works…I am impressed. 6A since I didn’t want take a risk with expensive P7, I don’t care of wirelles charging and screen dpi….so overall - Incredible phone, not missing at all the apple except one thing: the case protections for Pixels are not great as for apple :( Great video by the way ;)
American phones are not an easy access for the rest of the world, considering the taxes and stuff, not worth it, Samsung and Xiaomi are better. If in America, nothing beats it
2 things Firstly, people buy the iPhone SE like crazy, and defend it, that Apple's animations, ooh-ahh. A 720p LCD phone. But people have an issue with a 1080p OLED? Really? That too considering that Pixel does animations, and smoothness as good as iPhones? And even the performance. Give the poor thing a break. Heating is the issue, but even then, it is Google, who has set the thermal limit way lower than any other phone, for some reason. Apart from that, this matches the Snapdragon 888, and annihilates every mid-range CPU. Weaker than the 8 Gen 1, or A15 Bionic, sure, but I don't think anyone should mind, since it is already flagship tier. Also, even the Pixel 7 is significantly cheaper than phones with 8 Gen 1/A15, so 🤷♂🤷♂
After ditching iphone 14 pro due to financial decisions I have to get this one and can say I will keep it till it break down ❤ smoothest Android I have used with 60hz
I disagree with the 6a not being able to outperform other processors or not for a power user, Juan Bagnells got videos showing it's one of the most capable phones when it comes to video editing and rendering thanks to the Tensor chip🐸🐸🐸🐸
I just got mine and honestly after using multiple devices with and without 60, 90 and 120 hz displays, the luster wears off like a month in and you dont even notice.
I love this phone tensor chip makes it so much faster plus it's the chip that's in the 6 a nd 6 pro can't go wrong with this phone the camera is fantastic and take the best pictures I've ever taken and I've had all the flag ships and none of them take better pictures than this phone.
🐸🐸🐸 I've owned pixel a series phone before and I would say it is the best value for money. Even if it ages it still works well like my pixel 3a xl still works well for day to day use
in 2023 the Pixel Lineup sucks, I'm still rocking the old Pixel 2 XL after trying the pixel 7a for 1 month (bought it for me, didn't like it at all & ended up gifting it to my girlfriend), and the 2xl it's awesome. I would like to keep using it but they the battery is pretty much busted, and since I'm not from the USA I can't replace the battery. Will probably get a 5a for the rear fingerprint sensor & the 3.5mm headphone jack, but I heard that phone bricks randomly & commonly, so I dunno. Maybe Samsung, cause right now the latest Google "flagships" aren't even flagships, sadly I don't like the Samsung UI. Except that you can install a customized rom called "Pixel Experience" that basically makes any phone a pixel and gives you free photos storage too. But no rear fingerprint and a cheap in-screen fingerprint scanner instead doesn't convince me. No charger in the box sucks too, since I'm not from the USA and those chargers aren't common at all here. Another turn off for me is the speakers, you can easily cover them with your hand in landscape mode, cause they're in the lower part of the screen. While in the Pixel 2XL that never occurred cause it had dual front speakers. Overall new Pixels suck, I hope they get their shit together in the 8a.
My Pixel 2 is going down almost dead😪now waiting for the Pixel 6a I purchased to arrive and after seeing this video and reading other comments I am feeling good about my purchase.
@@pragadeeshsv6596 For me it has been. A slightly larger screen than the pixel2 $529 Australian. I only use it for texting and calls with the odd photo so I literally do not need anything better and when I updated I plugged the two phones together and within 15 minutes all my stuff including apps contacts the whole kit and caboodle was in the new phone. And the battery for me is excellent. I am actually pleased with it.
These are the videos I love! Follow up to phones that came out earlier in the year! Great video! I actually was going to ask, if you're free to answer, my dad needs a phone for his business. He needs a phone he can rely on, should he get a 6a, nothing phone 1 or perhaps shell out a bit more and get a 7 or just wait for 7a?
I wish just once a RUclipsr would talk about the most important thing that a phone needs to do. The main reason I will ever buy a phone is to make a cellular connection and talk on it without calls dropping. And don't tell me it's all the carrier fault because I have a unlocked S22 on TMobile and it never drop calls. Every other unlocked phone I've had on TMobile would. Please forgive me for getting off the subject and I aways wanted a Pixel but I heard they have connection issues.
My sister had to return her 6a because of the lack of connectivity problem where she lives. She got an S22+ to replace the 6a. I'm sure that the 7a will have a better modem, like in the 7 and 7 Pro, so this will be fixed. I recently got a like-new 4a and it is one of my favorite phones. I hope the 7a will have a headphone jack and a smaller size, close to that of the 4a. I think they would have a big hit with such a phone. I have a Pixel 7 as well as the 4a and I like them both. If the 7a was a little smaller than the 6a and brought back the headphone jack, I would buy it.
Coming from 4a i am impressed with the upgrade in every edge every margin but the size could be more compact. 4a handling was swifter than 6a. But 2023 is about bigger phones i m might just an old model guy
I bought the Pixel 6a and I kept it only for 2 days. Too many lags. Then I changed for the Pixel 7 to have a better experience. I will not recommend the 6a 👎
DISAPPOINTMENT OF THE YEAR! SHOCK! That's the only way I can describe a week of using the Pixel 6a. Faced with a strong overheating of the processor, and as a result of a rapid loss of battery power. The smartphone got warm even from such minor tasks as launching taxi applications, but if at the same time it became just warm, then when surfing sites through a browser, using a camera, or launching applications from well-known marketplaces, it heated up and just started to devour the battery at a speed of 4-5 % charge in 10 min. Which just shocked me, I still can’t believe that in 2023 Google could put such a device on sale, is it like, huh? How can this be sold? For me personally, this was a sneaky stab in the back from the company, and a huge disappointment, but in fairness it must be said: everything else is the perfect smartphone: ergonomics, materials, build quality, camera, and Android 13 is simply gorgeous, it becomes even more convenient than iOS. But one big minus (overheating) simply crosses out all these pluses, so I issued a refund with great regret. All the same, while Google is not about hardware, operating system, camera, design, they are good, but that's all for now.
If everything is compromised in this phone, and whatever it has like display, speakers, battery etc are decent and not best then what is the point of buying it? Literally this video is telling about how bad and slow the charging is, how it doesn't come with a charger too, how decent the display is with such thick bazels, how everything is compromised from built quality to processor. But hey this phone is not built for that, this phone is not built for people wanting, a reliable phone with good battery life, good performance, amazing multimedia consumption then I guess it's only built for Pixel fan Boys like the one making this video
@@BillUtah I was gonna get it on Amazon, it came with Pixel buds A for $378. But I decided not to get it because I'm waiting on the price to drop on P7/P7pro or just wait on the 7a. But I don't need to trade my phones, I like to keep mines for extra backup.

I really am fan of the Boxy Look. Can't afford S Ultra now. So I'm eyeing on it but I need to play 1-2 Hour of Genshin Impact, without destroying the Phone in the process.
Where are the wallpapers from? Look incredible!!! Like the vid
5a was a disaster in summer months, it was practically unusable outside due to heat. I'm hoping this one will handle it better.
Nord?
I don't need audio jack myself but people have said that wireless buds aren't as loud as wired so you may have a valid compliant!
I just got this phone on Amazon for $299 about a week ago, everything is good except the battery goes down a little fast and it takes about 2 hours to charge when it's 40% or lower besides that I would say this phone is a good bang for the buck
Waiting for 7A. But if things get bad, I might get 6A.
why people say overheat and bad exynos tensor
Worth purchase,no regrets 🙂
Phone would be a 10/10 if it had 90hz and 5000mah battery, hopefully this is addressed with the pixel 7a.
If in America, nothing beats it
2 things
Firstly, people buy the iPhone SE like crazy, and defend it, that Apple's animations, ooh-ahh.
Before it becomes hot. That's the problem with Tensor chips.
Yea the only reason I'm not getting this 6A is the 60hz display.
Can't go back to 60 from 120hz
Watching this on my 6a
And Pixel 6 and 7 have had screen problems!!! Making excuses cause Piss All is cheap is just as bad
Has anyone got network issues with pixel 6a?
After purchasing it I'm watching this 😂😂
Like all phone reviewers you missed to cover the fundamental function of the phone that's Call Quality
Just picked mine up for £299.00 , I have gone from a N9 note and I love this phone !
I just got mine and honestly after using multiple devices with and without 60, 90 and 120 hz displays, the luster wears off like a month in and you dont even notice.
Watching this on my Pixel 6A ❤️
Same bro. I am very happy with this phone. First time even thinking about getting the a model. It's just so good this year.
Suggestion please, samsang s21 fe or pixel 6a
@@ruturajsinhrajput the only opinion that matters boils down to your own choices and priorities. Choose wisely.
I bought this phone for $120 at a local pawnshop and I'm loving it so far.
Need the same long term review for Nothing Phone 1
I love this phone tensor chip makes it so much faster plus it's the chip that's in the 6 a nd 6 pro can't go wrong with this phone the camera is fantastic and take the best pictures I've ever taken and I've had all the flag ships and none of them take better pictures than this phone.
tempted to buy one for my dad who still has a samsung galaxy a5. they go for $350 on marketplace.
Would someone be able to tell me more about the game at 3:33?
I got pixel 6a in September 2022 BBD sale on Flipkart at ₹27,700.
Look at it now 25 without sale
My 5a bricked.
@@fizzybubblech2128 you should get a repair shop that does "reballing", I've heard people fixed it that way
My Pixel 2 is going down almost dead😪now waiting for the Pixel 6a I purchased to arrive and after seeing this video and reading other comments I am feeling good about my purchase.
How is the performance, is it worth buying?
I saw this video 7 month later 😂😅
I bought the Pixel 6a and I kept it only for 2 days. Too many lags.
Then I changed for the Pixel 7 to have a better experience.
I will not recommend the 6a 👎
Just bought a month old 6A in mint condition with an original case for the equivalent of 190usd. very pleased
For me personally, this was a sneaky stab in the back from the company, and a huge disappointment, but in fairness it must be said:
everything else is the perfect smartphone: ergonomics, materials, build quality, camera, and Android 13 is simply gorgeous, it becomes even more convenient than iOS. But one big minus (overheating) simply crosses out all these pluses, so I issued a refund with great regret. All the same, while Google is not about hardware, operating system, camera, design, they are good, but that's all for now.
Has it improved?
Using those chargers, what is the pixel 6a`s fastest possible charging rate / duration?
I'm using 30 watt, usually for me to get to 100% from 6% will take 2 hours or 1 hour 50 mins.
@@ggking4002 Um, Pixel 6a only supports up to 18W. So while you can use a 30 watt charger, it will only charge at 18W.
hello everyone can anybody please tell me how to unlock my google pixel6a without data loss
What a pleasant surprise Zachary!
Got mine 2 weeks ago after trading in my smashed iPhone SE 2. Pretty good phone, no need for spending £1200 on a phone
Was gonna get the Pixel 6A but might wait for the Pixel 7A to drop. Still rocking My Pixel 4A & Pixel 5 right now.
Get the 6a for $299 if you can. It's trade in value will be at least $300 if not more when the 7a comes out.
@@BillUtah I was gonna get it on Amazon, it came with Pixel buds A for $378. But I decided not to get it because I'm waiting on the price to drop on P7/P7pro or just wait on the 7a. But I don't need to trade my phones, I like to keep mines for extra backup.
My ,6a manouvering details got stock on the screen för about 20 seconds!? For example when sending text or whatever! You have sent gets stuck on the screen irritating to say the least swipe is so slow 60 hertz screen so heavy too but i like its shorter size and magic eraser wow!
Now it’s 349 and damn I rushed to buy it
It's a wonderful budget device.
I'm watching this on my 6a same colour ❤️
Hey how is the battery back up
What wallpapers do you use?
Samsung fan editions are way much better than pixels. They do come for humongous discounts
Another Opinion here been using my pixel 6a past couple of months now didn't had big issues as per your complaint for the slow charging get a 30W+ USB-C PD 3.0 PPS charger. or 25W + USB-C PD 3.0 PPS charger. It'll complete its full charge from 10 to 90 within 40 mins
Only problem 6 series is the network connection. Really poor connection for calling and internet .
This, unlike the Find N2 revi vs Z Flip looks and feels genuine, on the other one, you just didn't sound convincing.
Would love to buy a Pixel 6A.
Here's a 🐸 for no reason whatsoever
Wallpaper at 0:27 plzzzzz
The phone is worth it for 350 AUD (225 USD) but is not worth it for more than that but it's a steal for that price
What about for 351 AUD?
Perfect video! - I was thinking of Pixel 6a. Il probably buy it and then w8 for iPhone 15 to get on sales.
🐸
watching this on my OnePlus 9 phone which already has an annoying green line on the screen 2 years after purchase #boycottOnePlus
will finally have my Pixel 6a by next week
I heard fingerprint scanner is a fraud in this one and can be opened by any fingers at times. Is it true?
🐸 Thank you! 🐸
Proud Pixel Owner! No issues at all. What’s the name of the running Mario type game you played in between?
Geometry dash

Wait What??! Now that's horrible 🤦🏽♂️
Haha, it's at 76%, but saying it will be full in 60 minutes. Truly slow charging.

Frog 🐸🐸🐸🐸🐸🐸🐸🐸🐸🐸🐸🐸🐸🐸 team pixel from a iphone user sorry Apple. Google doing it LMAO
I've had mine since August so far it has 15 hour battery life even with my intense gaming
The Games I usually play is dragon ball legends and Fortnite btw Fortnite is a battery drainer I recommend playing with a charger and dbl does ok with battery doesn't drain as fast but still guzzles
I picked this up for 350 Inc tax AUD (220 USD) it's dirt cheap for a temp phone till iPhone 15 pro max comes out. Very happy with the speed too.
