For the "To the Victor Go the Spoils" trophy / achievement in Dragon's Dogma 2, you need to reclaim your items from a scavenger who stole them from you. You may get this from just naturally playing the game, but scavengers aren't very common enemies.
You can find them at bandit camps usually, I show where you can find a Scavenger on the map in the Battahl region. He is always there, and he will run off when you get close to him. Follow him areound and when you stumble from another enemies attack he will grab you and steal an item. Now just defeat him, unlocking the "To the Victor Go the Spoils" trophy / achievement.

Thanks. I had no idea I had to stagger for him to do that.
I was just following him around, seeing harvesting random crops.
I felt like I was just killing a very nervous farmer.

Oh also just in case, at least for me, the NPC tackled one of my staggered Pawns. I killed him and it still counted for the trophy.

Ah, so thats how this works... I am playing as a warrior so they never staggered me. Thanks for the guide, this was a great help.
Some other guide said these guys don't respawn after being killed until NG+, but I swear I encountered this one already, killed him before he stole anything, and he still respawned for me to get the trophy this way. Just thought I'd mention it here for anyone else who may have feared the same thing.
They definitely respawn as I cleared them the first time I went to Battahl

I have yet to see this scavenger a single time in my game.
I started seeing them regularly, AFTER I got the trophy

He's there it's just a cluster fu of people and he's easily killable by accident.
@@brettseaberg5033 still never seen him there. I killed the one on the road east of checkpoint rest town eventually.
that's not the only place they spawn at btw, i think it's just a rare bandit variant so it's hard to get them to spawn. that campsite in the video has probably one of the largest and most accessible bandit clusters in the game, so it's a great choice.
My scavenger ran off. I just found him by the the campsite next to Bay Wayside Shrine
Tip: Make sure you don't have a warrior or fighter who has provocation. otherwise, the thief will just keep attacking them.
Tip 2: Play a ranged class so you can kill him when he tries to escape.

I had this happen to me once, he mugged me, and I chased him down and he fell off a cliff and died in the water. Was so pissed to lose my ferrystone like that, AND I didn't get the trophy obviously.
I think if u use skill with medusa bow it consume to much stamina and he will grab you i suppose...
Going to try again, but I had a bandit with a great big sword hit me, it went through me and threw the scavanger off the cliff to his death. Rip.

Dude just stole a ferrystone from me then ran off. I cleared the bandit camp, he didnt drop my ferrystone and still didnt get the trophy.
I think maybe when he ran off he somehow "left the combat encounter" so maybe he succesfully stole from me and my ferrystone instantly got ate by the void? Idk

I had one above the dragon forge box, stole from me, then a harpy picked him up and dropped him in the drink. Did not get the trophy that time. Haha.
I got him to steal something from me, but uh. Now hes gone. If i dont find him what happens?

The trophy didn't come
If one of your pawns kills them im not sure if it counts
You have to kill him by yourself - mine jumped of the cliff and died - no trophy for me. go back to titlescreen without save or die and reload until it pop out
this didn't work for me. he stole my item, but jumped off a cliff and died from fall damage, so i didnt get kill credit. god this game is awful. this happened multiple times after reloading save.
on 6 attempts in a row of him dying to fall damage and not getting kill credit. god this game is fucking terrible.
