Thank you Rose! Sometimes it is just finding the right 'in' and you're away! The paper really helps with pastels, I can't do without the stuff, and some simple 'rules' will go a long way - enjoy!

Hi! I use the Clairefontaine pastelmat paper (or board) and haven't tried much else since finding it as it performs so well. I did try a knock off version but it wasn't half as good!

Hi Raj, I'm afraid I don't use pastel pencils for landscape, however, I enjoy Unison for landscape painting with the pastel chalks!

Hi Raj, thanks for watching! I use a variety of brands but mainly Faber Castell and some Cretacolor. I have a list (it's free), of my most used colours and the brand I get it from here: emilyrosefineart.gumroad.com/l/pastelpencilguide
What paper are you using?
Hi, I'm using a Clairfontaine Pastelmat Paper (or board) in sand for this drawing. I always use that brand of paper and either the board or the sheets :)

I know my comments aren't going to change anything, but I must say that compared to other artists who provide detailed real time tutorials on Patreon and other similar platforms, your costs for individual tutorials are very expensive. One month of Patreon can provide me with many many tutorials for a fraction of what you charge just for one tutorial. Too bad.
Hi Alpha, thanks for watching the video! Yes, I know they can be pricey, I do offer monthly membership as well where you can access everything all at once. I did look into Patreon, however, they were limiting in terms of how I could use the platform and unfortunately these take many hours to produce and their system simply wasn't viable for me. Which are best pastel pencil for landscape ...?
I don’t really draw landscapes but I would suggest softer pencils. The carbothello and Caran d’ache are both soft options :)
