METHOD for drawing dog's nose | Realistic | Pastel Pencils

How to draw a dog's nose with pastel pencils - my method and techniques. This is the method I use on my professional pet portraits and the techniques mean it works every time!

If you can draw a box, or imagine how light falls across it, then you can draw a dog's nose (with a little practice, of course!). Drawing a dog's nose is not difficult with the right materials and art theory to guide you. Lighting is the most important part of drawing a dog's nose as this will make it look 3D.

Call it art fate then! Noses can be e but tricky to get right but are integral to the overall 3D structure. Good luck with your next drawing!

Your vids are great. I searched RUclips for a better explanation on the box method you used to draw the nose and couldnt find one...could you do a short vid explaining the box part more than painting the nose?? Ty

Hi! This is a method I have designed myself, so there probably isn't anything else out there in the same way. A more detailed version is going into my pet portrait master class for 2024, but I'll work on something new for YT in 2024 to help you out :)
