Dang I need to steal that line! LOL. Great message and yes I am there for the peace, tranquility and enjoyment of the surroundings. Thanks for watching!
I honestly cannot recall but I know it was featured in my "Solo" video not too far back. I purchased it off Instagram and have not seen it since, not even on Amazon. I happen to like it a lot, just a shame it seems to be hard to find.....
Mark I have taken Stampede Dam Rd (paralell to Dog Valley) to Hennessy Pass and circled back to Hwy 89, but I have never gone the whole route. Beautiful area you cant go wrong with that area. Also following Hennessy Pass to Perazzo Meadow on west side of Hwy 89. Again a great area to explore.
I'm pretty sure I know exactly where this is. I recently found this out because I was looking for new places to go in the TNF: Per the USFS website, "no camping or campfires allowed outside of developed campgrounds." No idea why because it looks like a perfectly reasonable place to camp. It's not private land as far as I know. Not saying don't go. Just letting people know it comes with a little rule breaking.
What a nice spot! I have a nice solid rod case but the reel has to come off every time. Kind of a bummer but I like the case. Not sure I would have the courage to leave a rod on the roof rack and definitely glad to hear of Orvis' repair policy!
Yes the one thing I hate when I get to a fishing spot is the time it takes to set up a rod with the reel, line, tippet, flys, etc. For most trails its no issue, but this one took my rod out big time, in 5 places broken! Thanks for watching!
When we go to the hills, we leave for home on Friday and watch all the traffic going the other way. Of course we haven't worked for 17 plus years. Now that I'm much older, I can only tow my trailer about 200-300 miles per day. We're planning our next trip to push that limit but we'll be way out of the popular areas. Do you use rod socks? I notice that not many fishing supply stores carry them anymore. They really help keep the rods from getting tangled while transporting. I have two fly rods and only one got wet!
@@2-old-Forthischet Yeah I am still working after 40 years but only part time. Looking forward to the day when I can go anywhere at anytime!!!! I dont use rod socks but should probably start.
Rarely do our trips go according to plan but this is a good reminder it’s always worth it! Thanks for another great one!
Absolutely! Thanks for watching! 👍

@@MacSociety It really is a beautiful location. Tenkara would work well there!
Not all streams have fish but they always have beauty. Sometimes thats all you need. Tight lines.
